  1. Yeah but Thermal Detonator, Fusion Missile, Sweeping blaster (with combustible gas cylinder it becomes pretty good) are all potent area of effects. Sniper only has OS, because frag grenade takes too much energy for its weak damage and the volley is just good to interrupt a cap.

     

    Much easier to stay away from orbital strike than any other merc's aoe. Even DFA is hard to dodge if you are slowed.

     

    Saboteur.

     

    Incendiary Grenade is one of the best AoE in the game. GS/Sniper also have sweeping blaster fire, and there's also Sharp Bomb with is an amazing DoT AoE.

     

    So yeah GS/Sniper still win in the AoE department.

  2. My Vanguard AS does far more dmg then my GS or Sent.

     

    Sad part it's so easy to play. There are literally like five abilities you use. I don't like playing it because it's rather boring tbh. Tactics on the other hand is a blast! :D

    I'm not rerolling because I'm a tool and have to play the fotm, I just want a lightsabre class and I like these too.

     

    Plus, they're good.

     

    So, what's the difference in effectiveness/playstyle of these classes?

  4. sharpshooter spec is not viable in pvp. That's why I, and most other gunslingers/snipers on my server, are dirty fighting/whatever the imp equivilant is.

     

    That's not true at all. I run SS, and it's great for bursting down targets. Sure DF will get you larger numbers at the end, but most of that dmg is bs. Don't get me wrong I love DF for the mobility and DoT, but it's not any better then SS or Sab.

     

    Each tree has a place.

  5. It has a 2.5 cast time... 1.4 if used it the right situations. Also any type of CD will stop it. Pyro dmg is tech, that's the problem.
  6. I like to switch alot. If I see my healer just in the back not taking dmg, I'll go ahead and switch to someone that needs help.

     

    The only thing that drives me crazy is a tank guarding a tank. Defeats the whole purpose of a tank.

  7. My SS Vanguard counters them pretty well. They just sit there waving their rave sticks around and I slowly just wear them down. :rak_03:

     

    With my GS it's an easy kill.

     

    For my Sentinel, it's like the Special Olympics. Even if you win you're still retarded.
