Then use a vaccine and be immune for 6 hours game time for the low low price of 2k credits?
Or have a hissy fit and refuse to play. Either way is fine by me.

I could of easily logged on as my 47 Bounty Hunter and gave the other character the money. But I like to keep each character independent from one another. I doubt many would mind this event if some people would stop trying to infect as many others as possible.
Again I am not complaining about the event itself Bioware is just trying to have a little fun and mix it up, problem I had was with people just going around infecting anyone they can on the fleet like that.
You realize that there's a quest to infect people?

Yes, because WoW was the first MMO and everything even remotely similar is a direct copy of WoW.

It's apparently different green and with some electricity / lightning effect.
Though I've only been told, not seen.
The Razer one is rubbish though, can barely tell it apart from a pre-order yellow/black one.

Perhaps some people don't want to die and get the 5 dna? I logged in with my Sith assassin level 12 and got infected, don't have the money on that character to buy the stim to protect. Lucky a nice person gave me 6 stims to stop it. I can see it's a fun little thing but people should have some respect for those not interested in it.
Your level 12 inq can't manage 2k for 6 hours of immunity?

I load into the Fleet, and a whole bunch of people are standing at the load in spot, infecting everyone, who goes to the Fleet, and it cost 2k for the stim, to remove it for 6 hours. If this is a joke, it isn't funny, and its a little late, from april fools day.
I will not be paying, to play a game, that forces stupid stuff like this on players.
Please remove this, if you want to continue to have me, as a customer.
Some like it, but i think its completely out of line.
"QQ people are standing together in fleet to get items that are no better (stats wise) than I can get by other means!
FIX IT OR I QUIT!"

Anyone know if you can get the other Containment Officer gear pieces? I got the Republic Containment Officer Boots as a reward and TORHead seems to have entries for all the other items, but so far I have been unable to track down how to get the full set.
Imp version is boots too.
I'm guessing either
1. the rewards will change
or
2. the event will progress with the infection spreading and new / replacement missions being enabled

If you are in any stage of the disease and join a PVP WZ it appears to bug the disease. You no longer progress through the stages. If you enter your ship it seems to fix it. Logging out and back in does not fix it.
My guildie exploded mid-huttball match so it continued working for him.
I think it's fleet pass which actually bugs it (which could come before pvp queuing)

They keep exploding people on the fleet but refuse to tell anyone what this is all about so they themselves can get all infections counted. For everyone they infect they get one DNA sample.
I'm fairly certain this is utter BS.
Firstly I repeatedly tell people what is going on.
And secondly it's a flat rate of 5 per death.
The infecting others is used for a single daily that only rewards you with vaccine (like I want that!!)

I'm also the one telling people how to get vaccine for 2k from vendors while others try to take advantage by selling them for 50-100k

Put it in windowed, alt tab to media / internet, watch some TV, etc.
Don't exactly need to do much other than press a button every now and then to stop going afk and respawning when you die.

No, but some of the rewards on the vendor will require grinding for DNA samples so it will be at least a couple of days.
I have 103 samples so far.

You have to specify more than just category and level range to get a search to work. Try typing in a partial name or selecting a sub-category if one is available or selecting a rarity.

Category alone is not enough.
If there are no sub-categories you must enter at least 3 characters into the name field.

All I've heard/seen is the boots. Some speculate it changes each day but no one knows yet.
That or the event will progress and new quests with new rewards will be added as the infection spreads, etc.

I knew there would be vast population imbalances based on Beta so I picked a PvE server. When a server has a ratio of 3 to 1, there are no big Republic Groups.
Ah, it's one of those servers with LESS THAN AN OPS GROUP of pubs but millions of imps.
There are a lot of those... in people's minds.

I have had feverish for over 30 min so I guess it can vary or (more likely) bug out.
Me and my brother had it for about an hour.
We gave up, he relogged and it reset to lightheaded and I used a vaccine and then cancelled the effect.
After that it started working again for both of us.

The fact that you healed 200+k, with 0 deaths and 1 kill shows me that you were not participating in the actual combat.

Indeed, four hours is fine. If you don't want to spend the time at the nest, wait a few weeks. The crowds will die down and you can get your pet then.

Not all the content is sexism, yet enough of it is, that it is apparent this wasn't designed for women. As for what women would and wouldn't do....I don't think you're in a position to make that call, as you're not female.
Yet, I would agree that my words are a generalization which should be clarified in that MOST women would not punish someone for making choices that steer away from sex. Those are choices that the individual should make and the writers shouldn't make them for us. We shouldn't be punished for trying to avoid them.
I also see that you avoided any mention about promoting sex to minors.
Calling BW sexist because you think you know what all women would do in a given situation purely because they are female?
How ironic. Or is it Hypocritical?

I think a large majority of their players don't have the time to play so often that they have multiple level 50 characters all on one server.
If you have less time to play you aren't forced to play on multiple servers.

I think the radius is actually 5.5 meters.
