  1. Then report everyone who dares to buy or sell in chat. We'll see if Bioware gets annoyed with them or with you.
  2. Yeah, I know I said I'd stop posting here, but I'm responding to something more on topic this time, rather than responses which once again seem to imply that I've claimed that no one would be interested in it or that it would be unprofitable. Eve combat (skip to about 2:05 to get to the combat). I'd far prefer combat like JTL than eve, and I'd see it as being closer to the combat seen in the movies (and previous games) too.
  3. And trade never has the same exposure as general, that's kind of the point.
  4. I certainly hope so. Most of my companions have empty head slots currently. Until I get a pimp hat from Karagga... then I'll have a hat to use!
  5. 9:53am according to the ingame clock. And as your chat window is full of messages about how your companion missions are finished it is likely when you logged on, possibly just after the servers came up?
  6. Oh goodie, I was just thinking that the dozens of threads created about this today weren't enough.
  7. What day was that taken? Because we can see from the ingame clock how it's waaaaay away from peak time.
  8. No worse than the mass flooding of newbie questions or LFG spam. They could easily move to a custom channel for that (e.g. the LFG or Help channels) but I don't whine that they don't.
  9. This, they are rooted for a few seconds before they explode.
  10. I very rarely have ability lag issues, it's more latency spikes. During an ops run you suddenly hear 8 people on TS saying "Lag spike" at the same time.
  11. Some people think that the community should not help each other or pass on info on the community forums. Therefore if you're not trolling you MUST be a fanboi wannabe mod!
  12. Perhaps they want the healers to focus more on healing and less on letting people die so you can res them? :edit: And it's also discouragement for letting the same person die repeatedly in a short span of time.
  13. I may as well stop posting now since people seem to quote my actual posts then make up what I said. The proof that space combat would bring enough players to the game to be worth the development time / cost is in the name of the game? The name doesn't prove anything of the sort. Nor does the amount of people playing a free mod or the amount of people playing a virtual economy with a little semi-automated space flight thrown in. Nor did I actually say that no one would want it, nor that only the current subscribers would want it. If my posts aren't read before being responded to I see no point in continuing to post here. I'm sure your "proof" is completely valid, even though you are unable / unwilling to provide any of it.
  14. What proof? Firstly Eve and SWG JTL are completely different games and someone who likes space combat / flight sims won't necessarily like both (or either). And secondly, what about all the lesser populated space MMOs or space games with online modes (which don't include a fee and therefore should have a bigger audience)? How many people here play Black Prophecy for example? It was only released in the last year or two, has a realistic physics system and is free to play (making the monthly sub barrier to potential players go away). Claiming that because Eve has a lot of players there is proof that lots of players will want space in SWTOR is like saying that because WoW is so successful every MMO will be.
  15. To be fair anyone developing an MMO, whether it's their first or their fiftieth, should know that not everyone who buys the game on release day (or before release if you offer a pre-order) will remain a customer. Yes, it takes time to develop and no one should expect it to appear moments after they announce that they are working on it, but word of mouth is the single biggest advertising MMOs get and when the mouths are playing on empty servers that advertising won't be good. Some method of consolidating the population into fewer servers, either via character transfers or server merges, should be ready for the people who were bought the game and didn't like it, people who pre-ordered but didn't stay, etc.
  16. But can you create a charcter there and level that until generic character transfers are offered (which have been promised in the future) or until it's released in Japan and they do a similar transfer like they are now (which is not just Aussie, but does not include Japan)?
  17. Made anyone nearby dance. If you moved to stop the animation a new one started as soon as you stopped again.
  18. Peak times for the server, or peak times for you?
  19. You can't transfer characters, but I was under the impression that anyone can choose to play on those servers? And if/when SWTOR is released in Japan, or when they offer everyone character transfers in the future (whichever comes first), you will be able to transfer existing characters to join your new ones.
  20. Are you switching to the Asia/Pacific servers which are being setup? Assuming you play "normal" hours for your timezone that should vastly improve things (and I understand there's only 4 APAC servers, so assuming you have the playerbase they should be well populated).
  21. Given that the blue stims, medpacks and possibly adrenals are better than the reusable ones, and synthweaving has proven profitable, why would you change instead of buying them or mass producing the blue ones on an alt? :edit: e.g. Vs. Or Vs.
  22. I'd advise adding the Dev Tracker as a homepage / pinned tab. Devs communicate, but if people don't read them they don't know what's happening. I for one don't want an email every time one of the devs have something to say.
