So basically what I am suggesting is that BioWare does an overhaul to the players ship cut scenes when they are interacted with. For example, currently when we interact with our ships door, it does the cut scene with us leaving the fleet. The loads into the ship and we select our destination. This is fine, but in my opinion breaks the immersion.
What I am suggesting is that they follow more of the cut scenes in the Knights of the Old Republic games. In other words, you load directly into your ship and go to the cockpit. Inside the cockpit you can see the inside of the hanger just like in KOTOR. The cut scene doesn't play until you select a destination.
Now it get's better. The departure cut scene of where the player departed from, merges with the arrival cut scene of the selected destination. Making it seamless between the two. Upon landing, once again the player can see the inside of the hanger from within the cockpit and leaves through the door.
I believe this would help reduce load time between planets, or at least mask it to make it feel shorter.
