  1. It can. Not to bring up another game, but Blizzard had similar issues with the engine of WoW when it launched. Though it did take them years to fix and optimize.
  2. Could the game use a better engine? Absolutely. However, in order for it to be implemented, BioWare/EA would have to do the same thing Final Fantasy 14 did. Take the entire game down for a year or more and rebuild it from the ground up. Seeing what scripts work with the new engine and what don't. Realistically, EA won't waste the money to do that. Second problem with that, is one of the primary reasons this engine was chosen was so low end computers could run the game as well. That way not every body needs a mid to high range machine to be able to run the game. Frankly, this engine is fine. Yes, BioWare screwed up on it with their meddling, but it can be fixed and optimized in time.
  3. As far as perks go, SWTOR has to be among the most restrictive as far as it's competition goes. With restricted races, amount of times you can do group content (flashpoints and Warzones), not allowed to do raids. And even being cheated out of some quest rewards, such as cash boxes. It feels more like BioWare is punishing/taunting players who can't or simply don't want to pay for a subscription. RIFT, Tera, Aion, and even the EverQuest games are far less restrictive. Aion having no restrictions at all (that I came across while playing). Even EverQuest lightened up it's restrictions. BioWare needs to stop focusing on how to restrict free to players, and look into more ways to entice them to subscribe. Not just try to bait them with weekly unlocks.
  4. I would love this as well. Maybe add in a sand storm in the dune sea on Tatooine, and maybe a blizzard on Hoth.
  5. Maybe not, but this thread isn't about what will be in the game before 2014, but rather what players would like to see in the game before then.
  6. I could go for those 2. We have been teased since before launches about possible guild capital ships. Would be nice to see them implemented. Maybe they are part of the SSSP. One can only hope.
  7. Heh, I completely forgot about having an in game calendar.
  8. Considered there are class balances coming up in the upcoming patches as well as bug fixes, (because that's a never ending job, no matter which MMO your playing.) This thread is about what players would like to see implemented before the end of the year.
  9. I like where this is going. Personally, I would be content with just being able to play against NPC's of various difficulty levels. Come on BioWare, two huge casinos on Nar Shaddaa and they have no use outside of class quests and maybe some in game events.
  10. Same, I am holding back playing some alts, like my Assassin because I want it to be a Togruta. Cathar did well in the CM, so hoping more species are on the way. Soon
  11. I would love to see a legacy bank. Would save time from having to mail items to my alts.
  12. They will probably add the clothing eventually, but it will more then likely be a Cartel Market exclusive or random Cartel Pack item. Sadly.
  13. I like these. I am hoping some where down the line with the SSSP, that it will involve operations in which half the raid would be required to be in a space combat while the other half has to shut down some planetary shield or something. Similar to the second Death Star attack.
  14. Title pretty much says it all. What would you as a player like to see implemented into the game before the end of the year. Of course it shouldn't have to be said, but please be realistic and respectful. 1. Togruta species added. (I will pay the 600 Cartel Coins) 2. Secret Space Project implemented ( ) 3. Pazaak (At least against NPC's. Players would be much better though.) 4.Swoop racing (as with above, timed runs would be awesome against NPC's. Even better against other players.) Pretty sure I can think of more later.
  15. I agree with this. I am trying to have one of my Jedi knights be a fallen, Dark Jedi. However for the most part I am restricted to brown robes. (only one blackish one from Coruscant heroic mission). My only saving grace is the eradicator set or maybe Revans set to look like a dark jedi.
  16. I would support this only if the account itself was inactive for an extended period of time and the character in question was below a certain level, say 20 for example. Similar to how SoE has it set up in EverQuest. I know it is frustrating losing a name or not able to get the name you wanted. Heck, I been playing since early access. Created my character within minutes of the servers going live, but the first wave of server mergers I lost my name to another player. A player who was only level 25 ( I was level capped by then), and to this day has remained inactive. Yes, I added the name to my friends list. Should there be a system that BioWare can implement to focus on the naming issue? Yes, but only if certain restrictions are in place like I put above. So it is fair to both parties. What I would suggest is that the account itself would have to be inactive for at least a full year. Chances are, if the account is inactive for that long, they are not coming back. Also, the character with the name in question would only be eligible to have the name removed if it is level 30 or below; as it is extremely easy to level in this game. Furthermore, upon the request made by the active player is made, an email is sent to the owner of the inactive account to give them a chance to retain their characters name.
  17. I enjoy the game, therefore I will support it by purchasing future expansions. Especially if they give subscribers like me a discount, as well as nice little in game trinkets like titles and pets.
  18. Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic 2 both let players have 2 companions out to travel along with them. This would be a great feature to add to the cartel market to allow players to be able to use a maximum of two companions at once. As the game continues to expand, and new companions are added, most of them are just collecting dust because we are limited to 1 companion out at a time and only allowed to send a maximum of 5 companions out on crew skill missions. Thoughts?
  19. They've had that out for a few years now, it's called APB Reloaded
  20. Title says it all. Laugh, joke, even the new sing emote. No Sound! Makes our characters seem lifeless.
  21. If played properly by both teams, Huttball is an extremely fun PvP match. However, getting the same field all the time can get a little boring. Which is why I would like to suggest creating more Huttball fields to mix it up a little. Add new mechanics to the game, like requiring to use a vent jump to be able to score for one field. Others could include additional death traps, while another good even require the grapple gun from Alderran to get to the other side of the field. I welcome any thoughts, comments, and suggestions.
  22. I don't see Pazaak/Sabaac in there =(
