Yeah, seems like the unify buttons don't do anything at all.
Did anyone even test this?
-
Because I still get to have my blaster using Agent. Whether that be rerolling or just using it as a second combat style.
Same goes for all else.
Half the choices already share storylines, and 80% of your choices will share gear. It literally adds nothing while introducing bugs and issues.
Not even government work manages to waste manpower like this.
-
Whoever's working on the UI these days doesn't even play the game at all, seems like.
-
Why do people keep thinking this? That would have been incredibly broken and we have known this wasn't the case for 6 months.
Because why bother if that's not the case? I can already switch to my alts without breaking my whole UI and disabling my gear. Why would you add the same option except broken, and tout it as something new and exciting?
-
I noticed this too, yes. All my UI work is gone.
-
No, OP is right. This is a disappointing and pointless change.
Most of already have alts and can just switch classes that way. Why give us an option to do that, but that disables all our gear? It's like a step backwards.
-
I thought my game was broken, a third of my ultrawide screen is blocked.
-
At the risk of repeating others, I'll add my agreement with the OP;
The other day I one shot a member of the Dark Council, because of level scaling. It's broken and needs to be removed.

Imagine not doing your job for 4 years and still getting paid.

I was just in a group finder group. Eventually everyone died, and no one could respawn. 2 of 4 left the group. As I was stuck, couldn't respawn or do anything, I left the group as well, but then got locked out of the finder?
Is this a bug or intentional behavior that you sit in an empty instance, unable to respawn?
-
I find your lack of comprehension disturbing.
As long as one of the people in GF has selected only HS, it's not random for the rest of the group. It's one person forcing their needs on other people.
In that case, the complaint should be that people that filter too much shouldn't be grouped with people that want a truly random experience. Not "I want to drop the random group after I selected that I want to join a random group".
-
Well, it means that unless it means "I don't want to do this specific FP" or "I don't want to this FP with *these* people". In those cases, the "something else" is "run a GF FP", in which case you very much *will* notice the timer.
If you don't want that specific FP, why didn't you filter it?
If you don't want the randoms, don't queue with randoms.
You can't have a random FP group finder without random FP groups.
-
Nobody should be forced to play content they don't enjoy, especially not with a threat of "penalty".
If you don't enjoy randoms, don't queue for randoms.
-
Choosing to drop group is saying "I'd rather do something else than play with a group". You shouldn't even notice the timer while you do that something else.
Getting kicked should be outside of your control, and you may still want to group with people. No timer.
Makes sense to me.

It's also buggy, of course.
It's not a Cartel Market charge, so of course it is.

Seems like every time I loot anything, my character sheet starts flashing.
Looted a medpac and some gray junk, and suddenly my sheet is flashing.
How do I stop this?

As a PvE tank, I've NEVER had trouble holding threat, no matter what gear I'm in.
PvP tanks don't care about threat, and PvE tanks don't care about DPS. Both care about mitigation. That's what should be getting looked at.
-
Imo, this is nothing to unsub over, but of course that's just my opinion.
No, but....
Why are you a long time sub if the normal sub benefits aren't enough for you? That's the point. It's one less incentive. They're supposed to give us more reasons to want to sub, not less.

So, playing a Juggernaut mostly solo, sometimes helping people with heroics and veteran level stuff.
I'm enjoying Vengeance DPS more than when I was playing Immortal (took so long to kill things), but I'm looking to boost survivability if the group I'm with is in trouble and I need to save the day with some taunts.
Is it better to use DPS gear in a tank spec, or some tank gear in a DPS spec, or am I wasting my time if I try either?
-
That's what I can't really gather from the OP. Where exactly are the problems you're seeing?
The biggest is a lack of DPS from 4 DPS players. Boss fights go on forever, the kolto stations can't respawn fast enough. I had attributed that to "not enough abilities to have a DPS rotation".
Or that I'm tanking as a sith sorc while trying to heal them- which, again, is a sign of lack of DPS, if they're not out-threating heals.
A secondary problem is not grasping basic mechanics, like kill the weakest/adds first, don't stand in fire, etc.
-
You can finish any of the veteran fps with a group of lvl 15s.
The problem isn't level, the problem is people don't learn how to play and then don't have the skill to pass fps that still requires some skill.
That could be a reason why they die to the first boss mechanic every time, sure.
The complaint should then be "Make the whole game harder so people have to learn to step it up." or "Make veteran FPs easier for these people so I don't have to solo stuff designed for 4 as a DPS."
-
Specifically, Veteran flashpoints.
Seeing a level 30ish group member in a flashpoint made for level 65's is a joke. Doesn't matter how many kolto stations you put in if they don't have enough abilities to actually contribuite to the flashpoint.

Still bugged, all these months later.
But hey, at least we can still gamble in the Cartel Market!
-
No guild still does not control this sector.
It's very, very important, clearly.

Months later, still broken.
I wish I could be a permanent screwup like these devs and keep a job.
