  1. Half the player base cant get the spec to work, and ask for buffs. The other half do decently in Regs and are too scared to ask for buffs because they fear the nerf hammer in retaliation. Both the desire of buffs and fear of being nerfed into oblivion are legitimate causes. I support a change here and there, but nothing on the level that have been suggested so far. I wouldnt mind seeing a change to relics so that they apply their buffs to the abilities that proc them. In their current state, the ability that procs the buff does not get the buff. This essentially ensures thats a scoundrels first back blast is lacking in potential damage. Considering that both Scrapper and Ruffian would benefit, I would like to see this done. I dont think it a outrageous request, but i could see where it may cause issues for people in the "OMGerd stealth ambush effect" Other than that I dont have any legitimate requests for buffs that would make much sense. As for nerfs to other classes. I could probably request a full page

    Running away.

Node gaurd duty is boring as hell. Though I dont like it that people wont defend, I cant necesarily blame them.
  3. To be fair, their are no large ponds with which to pull from anymore. Also good healing is subjective to a lot of factors outside of the players immediate control. If you are trying to compare healing sco/ops fromm 2.x to 3.x your not going to find a person that can compete on that level. Ops had reliability in a lot of areas, and after the expansion that reliability went away. Being able to rely on your healer to pull it together in clutch moments can really change the mindset of any team they play with, as DPS can take more chances(apply more pressure), a tank can use stuns throws, pulls offensively instead of defensively. I havent seen any sco op healers be able to do that since the expansion. Really any good healer has the team to back him/her up. Without the follow up your just spinning your wheels. best healer in the world isnt going to make that green player learn how to play like a pro within the timeframe of a single wz.
  4. Currently their is no way to select what types of maps you que up for. Dev reason is as the previous player said, the ques would legnthen during non primetime hours and seperating the ques only enhances the problem. Ranked limits you to only arenas, but thats about it. I too would like less arena pops, but other than jumping ship their is no way around it currently. Not sure what the guy before me problem is.
  5. Log in on my scoundrel and que for solo wz while guild is figuring out new operation. Que Insta-pops which usually is not a good sign. Take the pop and its Hypergates with the opposing team in line to win the game at the end of the round with a little over a minute in the round think the score was like 650 to 480. Think to myself well atleast it will be over soon Figure the only thing I can do is try to take the opposing teams node, and drop down to see what I can do.. Two of my team-mates are currently already there with the same intention, and 5 of the opposing team are looking to stop us. I figure its a lost cause. First of my team-mates, a commando gets owned instantly, and my other team-mate another scoundrel opens up, and the five defenders start to work on him. He flashbangs all five of them, and I see CC breaks like crazy, and they finish him off quickly. by this time I am close, and I open out of stealth with flash bang, and happen to get all five(melee heavy team ftw). I then start to cap, and with about 15 seconds left on the clock, I hear the "we got both nodes" chime in. I immeadiatly start to roll, and easily delay the recap until the timer winds down and we win the game. As far as clutch moments that has to be a defining one for me.
  6. You want proof? You can't handle the proof! Girl, we live in a world that has credits. And those credits have to be farmed by men with bots. Who's gonna do it? You? You, GKFG ? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for HNGL and you curse the bots. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that GBFR's work, while tragic, probably saved peoples time. And their existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves time...You don't want the proof. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want bots to farm. You need bots to farm. We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent earning credits. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain bots to a person who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very bounty I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you create a bot and farm some creds. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to! Hyperbole aside, Death to bots, death to cred farmers. Edit In retrospect, the mod who reads this probably never saw "A Few Good Men". Whatever worth the ban if it hasppens.
  7. Thinking the same thing, but I think part of his problem is he cant get other people to que. Atleast I would hope thats it.
  8. Current meta would probably push the groups to be 4 dps 2 tanks 2 healers. Or something of the like. 2 tanks 2 healers would be able to prevent and heal through enough damage with skilled teams. If anything the healing/tanking meta feels stronger. Games will eventually migrate to the same standardized approach that the previous 8 man wz went to. With strategies coming down to opening strategic moves heres a list of what rwz looked like towards the middle( i dont know how it handled in the end, no pugs would que, and my guild had spread to the four winds as far as pvp players went) Civilwar: Tank healer to far side node, 4 dps to close side node. Tank/ Healer to mid node. First one to cap their node wins. mid node will never be taken. Hypergate: 4 to each node, with winner being decided by who caps their pylon first. Novarra: click fest for mid node: 7 players to south , 1 goes to close node, match decided by who actually can stun and click the best. Orginal Hutball: Most fun RWZ, myriad of make-ups would excel, but usually comes down to who can get the ball more reliably. Tanks and heals ensures that most teams have little issue with keeping the ball carrier up. Its just a matter of keeping the ball carrier out of the fire pits, and getting them to the endzone. New-hutball: ??? Voidstar: Comes down to kills, Doors are secondary if kills cant be relied upon. The meta supports teams being able to stay alive for too long. The new burst of some classes may help to keep a steady supply of deaths ongoing, but if not, its going to be the never ending pinata fights of past.

    Bolster Update!

Actually this is just their way of meeting that interaction with the pvp forum that they said they were going to do. I had a snarky comment to follow up with this but I dont have the motivation to really type it out. It was really snarky though.

    Bolster Update!

not enough people in the 50-59 bracket. atleast not in the long run.
  11. Fav thing. The animations. No game has ever had anything like master strike in it, let alone the various other abilities with its own animation. Usually they just change the color a a cirle with a symbol in it and call it good. This game, you can pretty much tell what ability is used by the animation that comes with it. Character gear Customization: How many game do you see where practically everyone has almost a unique look to them. This game trumps all other MMOs in terms of variance, except is a very few places, this game is better overall for making your toon look and feel unique. Overall the engine is amazing for customization, but I guess that is also the reason for its down fall, it sucks at rendering many things at once, which hurts it with large battles.
  12. Depending on talents taken, a lethality can do pretty well against a concealment. Sedatives does wonders against a concealment player. It really comes down to talents taken by both players, who opens on who, and what they open with. but yeah concealment is favored. Dueled extensively against another scrapper for about 40 matches. Concealment wins 7 out of 10. Ruffian/Lethality relies to heavily on crit gods to be reliable. Also Concealment owns if it opens 10 out of 10. Ruffian also gets hurt by the imuunity roll which can really kill your rotation.
  13. Trend continues. Not used to this many people making "im quitting" threads.
  14. The expansion made the leveling experience a lot more bearable. in the previous expansions scoundrel felt like you were playing a gimped gunslinger, it wasnt up until 36-41ish that you felt like a stealth class as thats when you got shootfirst/Hidden Strike, and acidblade/flechette round. The improvements to the leveling experience definatly helped the feel though. I sat on my op for so long because it was such a pain to level . Best level change is 51 when you get roll. Game play is so much different after that.
  15. One of the leading issues with ranked in its previous iteration was the lack of cumalative rewards, and performance based awards. Cumulative based rewards are a garaunteed reward just for completing the warzone. Much like your warzone, and ranked warzone commendations. However ranked didnt offer a new reward, it only offered more of the same reward. As far as performance based awards such as what arenas have now, 8 man ranked had zero. If they do impliment ranked, both the cumulative and performance based rewards need to be worth the effort. If they impliment some form of solo que for ranked warzones, then IMO that would be probably one of the best ways to impliment it. However they need to do something about the rewards system to keep people vested into ranked play. Also...class balancing need to really be addressed before going live with more versions of ranked,. The second biggest issue with ranked in its last iterations was the fact that only a select number of classes were even remotely viable for ranked.
  16. the videos were definately more entertaining, but gameplay....yeah not really. Todays vets are just as good, albiet less plentiful. I think they only thing they really lack is the coordination. Arenas are about as dull as you can get as far as competetive pvp goes......, but other than lack of objective gameplay, most of the players who left arent really any better than most who are still here. It takes at most 2 months from dinging 60 to figure out practically all their is to know about a class. Maybe another 2 months to figure out how to beat all of the other classes, or atleast counterplay most of thier abiliities, and then maybe another 2 months to figure out how to work with a team to beat other teams. Overall 6 months is all it takes for someone to go from fresh 60 to knowledgeable player. This isnt even bringing into the equation people who level by doing a lot of pvp, and people who are already on thier 3 or 4th alt, and who already know half of what they need to make the class perfrom. This game isnt that hard to figure out. SWTOR isnt exactly pushing the envelope with new abilities, or class archetypes, though scoundrel healer is pretty unique in its own right, but the rest are easily comparable to other class archetypes form other games. I dont know where people get the idea that an MMO toon is that hard to figure out. Saw a video the other day where the guy was like "how does it feel to get beaten by someone whose been playing the class for 2 months while you have been playing it since launch".....like the class has that much to discover after two months of playing with it. Like O ****, THIS CLASS HAS A BUBBLE, HELL YEAH, BONUS.
  17. I just means the strategy is the same. Atleast in ranked. Wait for the opposing player to come out, and jump him. Or expect the same in return, atleast in 4dps vs 4dps
  18. The funniest thing about concealment, is that the class it has the most trouble with is other concealment. As concealment when it uses the root talents gets three, which can count for 9 seconds of root, making the concealment spec the best spec to take out other concealment players.
  19. If its just 8v8 not signed. It will fail harder than anything that has preceded it, hell they would have better luck getting ilum to work than 8v8 at this point. If its 8v8 and something to push people into the que(and Im not talking about new reskins, or a place on the boards), then yes I would sign for that. Otherwise all they are doing is bring back a que that maybe two teams will participate in. 8v8 died a horrible death in the previous iteration, and by itself would be no different than before.
  20. lol you guys avatar are twins. HUR DUR
  21. Not sure what your guildmates problem is. When you respec, the abilities tied to that tree are removed and are generally replaced by the abilities of the new tree. You arrange your keybinds to what works for you and you carry on. Generally my shared abilities stay the same for all of my keybinds when changing specs, their are rare instances where I will move them around if a rotation requires I use a particular ability at crucial times, but for the most part, its always the same. I can swap out specs easily enough, and once I get the first few encounters out of the way(pvp or pve) muscle memory kicks in and my rotation is pretty fluid. and thats where clickers start to waver imo. If your clicking you cant use muscle memory, because you instead use hand eye coordination, which requires you to focus elsewhere, meaning your raid/situational awareness is down. And thats why clickers perform less efficiantly than keybinders, atleast when all things are equal. Now Between classes their are always certainties for my keybinds among abilitites shared by all classes. C=CC breaker F=Interrupt 2=hard stun 3=Mez
  22. When I swap mods to from 0 to 6% alacrity i lose 3% surge. from 76 to 73% I lose s amsall amount of extra damage, for extra energy regen, shorter cooldowns, and faster hots. Like I said your not going to find the smoking gun to get you to swap over, you either like it or you don't. I'm not going to miss 3% surge though, so I take the alacrity
  23. Troll got me...removing post, nothing to see here move along.
  24. As someone who migrated off of clicking when joining this game I will tell you that its not some dogma, or random BS that players spout because its cool. Clicking reduces your capability to perform on multiple levels. The real argument is what is quicker Muscle memory, or hand eye coordination. Most clickers if you were like me have to keep an eye on the cursor to know when to click, we have got the motions down and our ability to move our mouse to different areas quickly and efficiantly can be improved with practice and a clean mouse pad area. When I clicked it was imperative that nothing impede my ability to move my mouse. Now what this means is your attention is on your cursor, and not your character, or buff bar, in fact you spend a great deal of time focusing on your cursor than other things, which may impede your ability to react. Awareness is key in pvp, if your too busy focusing on your rotation, you will miss key indicators, especially in raids and pvp. Some abilities come with aural ques, but most rely on visual indicators or buff indicators, which means you have to focusing on your toon, and the buff bars. With the need to keep a focus on your cursor, it means you are less aware, and less effective. That is the biggest argument against clicking. The second argument is that keybinding allows you to use muscle memory to get your rotation down, and you will notice that you spend a lot more time focusing on whats going on around you, which means your more efficient. Not only is your awareness more keen, but muscle memory is much quicker than hand eye coordination, and alot less challenging to improve. Now im not going to say that clicking alone makes you a bad player, I have a few small accolades from my time clicking with wow and rift, and I even made a video of me pvping and clicking a long long time ago in swtor. However My class knowledge, was definatelty a lot higher than most swtor players at that time. So you can still be an above average player and click, but clicking alone is worse than keybinding. Mostly due to reaction time. if your looking at getting into keybinding I can definately help you. My first attempt ended in failure, but I managed to find a way that made it very easy. Edit: Improved comments, and clarified statments, and fixed some gramatical *****.
