Yeah I was kinda wondering this myself... I bought an MMO, and I got what I pretty much expected, an MMO with a core like most other MMOs (Surprisingly enough there are NUMEROUS MMO's out there that are sorta-like-wow ya know?) with a shiny Star Wars coat. I'm a..somewhat? I guess? Hardcore gamer, but a shiny Star Wars coat gets the better of me in this case. I can see the problems, I can see the bugs, but holy crap do I love shooting people with blasters and stabbing people with lightsabers. Sorry!

The fact that it is restrictive is automatically out. Period. I don't care how reasonable it is, I'll show you an equally unreasonable person that would get extremely upset with the product over something that simple.

1) So will it have qualified you to have finished the story? You can go 10-50 without ever stepping foot inside of the story (Beside the intital planet), how would that work? 2) Companions - Not all companions are mirrored/identical, what sort of gear flips over? What happens to the other gear? Moreover, you never earned these companions, who would get all of the "love?". Just honest questions. I'm not saying why it can't happen, I just want to see the theoretical answers to these hypothetical questions. Story plays a much bigger part in this game than in other MMOs, so how would one leap those hurdles? EDIT: And if you select to abandon all of this (Restart at no progress/companions) what is the point in doing it in the first place? You might as well actually roll a new character at that point, know what I mean?

Why should there be an incentive? I'm wildly confused by this. What should they offer players for simply rolling a republic player? People will be people, it's clear that there is an imbalance, but I'm not sure what type of solution COULD be offered. "Enjoy the story of the Republic!" It's almost like complaining more folks are choosing Coke than Pepsi. Waddya gonna do? Force Coke down their throats? EDIT: To respond above 1) Faction Changes - It's not as simple as it is in <OTHERPOPULARMMOS> due to the vast differences in playstyle/attacks/etc between faction. Playing a Sniper really doesn't directly compare to playing a Commando. 2) Which would be...what?

It's usually not -That- much in terms of cost savings..usually like 2 dollars a month (per month) for the long term plan. I just prefer the flexibility of cancelling if my computer busts, I lose the ability to play for awhile, etc.

I'm a month-by-month but barring extreme issues I am in for the long haul. The legacy system seems really cool and is what I'm most excited for. It'd actually give me a legitimate excuse to roll a female character without feeling like a creeper.

Yesterday I was browsing the PvP Weapons vendor having a good old time comparing weapons, being generally relaxed. Then I leaned up and accidentally right-clicked..and to my surprise/sadness/disgust/terror/horror/sudden feeling of lossedness I suddenly purchased something that has filled me with fury. The V-211 Rampage Interceptor Not a bad gun. No, no..But a gun I had absolutely no use for. Not even my companions would need this. It was only level 14 (modwise, still irrelevant) point is..I didn't need it at ALL. And when I try to re-sell it (even though I already knew) a grim realization came upon me as 600 credits fell into my inventory..I just wasted 580 warzone commendations! GYAHHHH! Not unobtainable, not the end of the world, but flat out frusterating. However if I had a wonderful little window that would pop up and say "Hey, are you SURE you wanna spend that and buy that?" -OR- Have the ability to sell it back within an hour or something for the same price..I'd be great. But no, I have to run though customer service and pray they restore my lost commendations! TL;DR Confirmation Window for "Major" purchases to ensure nothing goes wrong and things are not accidentally spent!

Okay hold on hold on here. That first page. I see what this is, a complete misinterpretation. (And a bad move on BW's part) So this page. http://i.imgur.com/OlmVP.jpg Was the "startup" page. This page dealt with the steps that you had to deal with to get through the game startup process. This was simply a "checklist" for getting into the game, but it doesn't seem to have the capability to dynamically update, so if you subscription is/is not cancelled shouldn't have any effect on this page (I believe) However, if this page (the REAL status page) http://i.imgur.com/TFyhV.png Shows no active subscription, then I don't believe you DO have an active subscription at the moment. My page http://i.imgur.com/RqLMB.jpg Shows one, and also shows the date I will be billed. If your page doesn't show that, I don't think you're going to be renewed and should setup a new one. (CHECK YOUR PENDING CHARGES FIRST)

So a possible suggestion would be to cancel the subscription on that page, and then starting up a new one. Like I stated just now however, I would check out any pending charges prior to doing this.

Thats fair. I posted the link to get around it assuming you have a subscription. Clearly I jumped the gun, so apologies. It seems like it's saying you have no active subscription in the first place. If today was you renewal date, people should be checking their credit card pending charges out to see if they're attempting to take the sub out. Then of course, trying to log in ASAP if they have.
