I love it when people try to set their own rules for what "is" and "isn't" Star Wars. This isn't the first game/movie/book/cartoon that has used more exotic colors...and it won't be the last. Unless you're George Lucas or Walt Disney, deal with it.

Sounds like someone has never heard of guild wars. As proven by ArenaNet just because an MMO doesn't have a required sub doesn't mean they don't make money. GW has made them a fortune and it's been F2P from the beginning.

Having a skill based game, where the outcome of battle is based on your reflexes and abilities as player instead of arbitrary stats on your clothes..doesn't mean there isn't any levels or progression. The skills trees and ability customization is miles ahead of swtor in terms of depths. Anyone saying GW2 will kill SWTOR is kidding themselves. But anyone thinking PvPers are going to stick around TOR for rated warzones are just as delusional. People playing MMOs for competitive pvp will be playing GW2. No one will be playing TOR for the PvP once GW2 is released.

While smart Queing would be nice I don't see the lack of the feature as something to quit over. You have to expect a certain amount of disorganization when you're playing with a pug. The solution is to find a guild, make friends that PvP, and group up with a good composition. The solution to this problem isn't bioware's to solve. Even if they made a smart que feature that gave both team 2 healers, 2 tanks, and 4 dps with every group. There's no system that can make players synergize well. Pug vs Pug will always be hit or miss, regardless off compositions. Make friends and Q together if you want organized teams.

I know man, you're so smart and skilled you just learn things faster than the other million people playing this game. Your one weeks worth of experience is more valuable than 8 months of a real pvpers knowledge.

What? No it's not...that's perfectly sound advice. If he did any PvP at all before 50 he probably has a few comm saved up, enough to buy 2-3 pieces of battlemaster. Those pieces along with a full free recruit set is plenty to get started on HM Flashpoints. Recruit is nearly on par with Tionese and Battlemaster is actually better. I've been in several HM's where the tank was in Full PvP Recruit gear and we cleared through it with no issues. IMO This is the best option. Just get the recruit set, get a few easily obtainable battlemaster peices (you can easily grind out enough WZ to buy 3-4 pieces in a matter of hours) And jump right in to HM's. No need to do mind numbling tedious daily quests for a week. (Unless you want to do it for the credits)

?? You have to sift through 300 posts to see the official announcements on the front page? They are in the process of consolidating population into the selected "destination" servers. They don't want new players rolling toons on dead servers that everyone has already transferred off of, hence being locked. You can still play if you have characters on locked servers, but I suggest transferring them to servers with healthy populations.

They are popular for a reason. Any competent and competitive guild doing RWZ is going to bring Marauders and Powertechs as their dps. Q up with Operatives and Mercs as your dps and see how well you do against a group with the above classes.. Spoiler Alert You're going to get your faced smashed in.

Tank class =/= tank spec Any class in the game can spec dps and pull out big crits. 3-4k is fairly average.
