  1. Not looking forward to it on Ebon Hawk/Republic side. Most WZ's we are luck to see 2-4 50's on our side, where Empire teams always have quite a few more. Guess Republic will be in very long queues and Empire will end up having to play Huttball with themselves all the time.
  2. Not sure what you are doing wrong, by the time I hit Hoth I was almost level 43. I ended up skipping a bunch of the quests there before leaving because they were greyed out for me. I hit 50 about a quarter of the way through Voss. Do your daily Space, PvP quests. If you do every solo quest on the early planets and run a couple WZ's per day you will overlevel every planet. Starting at Alderaan I had to start skipping quests because I had overleveled the planet.
  3. Well another thing that video shows, is how clunky, laggy and unresponsive combat in SWTOR is compared to RIFT. RIFT the hotbars were in sync with the attacks and it looked very smooth. Too bad the same can't be said for SWTOR.
  4. Yes, you will. Don't worry though, the lvl 400 armstech recipes that require it are garbage compared to what you can get via drops, pvp gear and commedations at 50.
  5. Probably not worth it. I have it at 400 and got maybe a total of 6 schematics from crits on mission runs.
  6. I don't even buy a mission if it's over 2-3k. I sort by price and ignore anything over that amount. I've got a few 300-340 skill mission drops, when you put it in the GTN it auto-prices for a reasonable amount. Marking it up 5k+ on top of that is just stupid. People don't seem to understand that once we buy the mission it costs another 2-4k to send our companion out to run it.
  7. Agree. I have 400 Armstech, everything we can make is complete garbage. Totally broken profession at best. The only slotted guns we can make are lvl 48 and require a BoP crafting material only found in hardmode flashpoints. They don't even have very good stats either, you can get better off the PvP vendors easily.
  8. Best post ever. Why? Because it's true. What you forgot to mention though was not the people who keyboard turn to face you, but the ones that turn their back and run away, making it so much easier to get backstab/backblast off on...or the ones that just continue to try to attack their other target and ignore the fact you are beating on them.
  9. I didn't top the DPS parse in the last 5 WZ's on my scoundrel. Sorcs and Snipers did and in fact, one of them even killed me with a 5k crit ambush shot finisher. So therefore they should be nerfed since they topped the parse and killed my toon. Seriously people, this is getting old.
  10. I was in beta for about 7 months, people whined about Sorcs being OP'd the most out of any class. Seems people still like to whine about them to after they get killed. Ops/Scoundrels were pretty rare, not a lot of people really played them much it seemed. The ones you did happen to see were always heal spec.
  11. It does break every time whether you want to lie to yourself or not. AOE will break stealth, every time. DoTs will break stealth every time. What you are having happen it the said Op/Scoun is casting Triage which removes the DoT before he hits his vanish. It only works on physical effect DoTs though, so if it's force damage it will not clear the DoT. Unless he is heal spec'd and put points in Triage to remove up to 4 effects both force and physical damage based. If that is the case, heal spec is sacrificing the burst DPS/Knockdown and their vanish is on a 3 min cooldown instead of 2. Also Evasion/Dodge will not remove DoT's as far as I've seen, despite what the tooltip says. It just breaks snare/roots. That is unless people are just reapplying it and I'm not paying well enough attention.
  12. Setup keybinds to your various hotbar buttons - alt-1, alt-2, alt-q, ect. or whatever you like in game. Then use your Logitech control panel on the task bar to map those keys to your macro keys on the side. Then save the profile. This is what I did and it works fine.
  13. I remember pushing out similar numbers on my sniper in beta. Guess they should nerf them too.
  14. I will have to give this a shot. My main toon has not been able to log into ANY flashpoint for 4 days now. I keep getting the phase needs to be reset message when zoning in, even if I am solo. Their customer support is useless, they didn't even answer my ticket collecting dust for those 4 days now. My quest log is pretty bare, only a couple pvp/space daily quests and my storyline are in there. I've tried resetting the phases, dropping all but my storyline quest, picking back up the flashpoint quests and resetting them, having others zone into the FP and then try to invite me, nothing seems to work. This is a major game breaking bug when you cannot even log into a FP solo!
  15. At 40, put Bowdaar in a full set of the PvP tank gear, implants and earpiece. Then buy him the Vibroblade (cause it looks cool and is slotted) off the commedation vendor in Balmorra. Also find him a really good shield generator, not the green crap. He will tank like a beast with over 11k HP roughly at 40. I like it like this cause he can hold aggro and I can use my positional attacks anytime. He tanked 2 elites while I killed them and walked away with 25% health w/o any heals. All the armor and vibroblade are upgradable so you keep it your level if you buy mods. If you are looking for pure damage, Risha is probably best if you keep her gear up to date. Akaavi does a little less damage but is not as squishy, at 40 she does very well also in the full PvP gear but it's hard to find a good weapon for her that is upgradable.
  16. Pretty much this. There are so many horrible players in this game it's not even funny. Most people queueing for the WZ's on the servers I play on don't even have half a clue on how to play their own class let alone have any right to call for nerfing another class. Lvl 50 PvP geared Sentinel/Marauders, Sorc/Sages, and Shadow/Assassins can 1v1 an Ops/Scoundrel if they know what they are doing. It just takes some effort and skill, not sitting there spamming your slash or lightning. A well played and geared Jugg/Guard can do it too. If you're not 50, you're going to get destroyed by someone 20-30 levels above you in a WZ, it's just going to happen whether you like it or not. Bolster is not going to help you against better gear, abilities and player skill. BTW the 5k shoot first can happen, you just need a bunch of expertise gear, crit/surge relics, lvl50 purple consumables and the WZ power-up. We are not the only class that can do it though, Snipers/Gunslingers can straight faceroll people if they are geared out and buffed up with expertise, relics and consumables. DPS Sorc/Sages can dish out some insane numbers with the same gear, relic and consumables too. What they need to do is nerf the use of the consumables and relics in PvP and tone down expertise bonuses.
  17. Anyone else having problems reverse engineering actual weapons in Armstech? My skill level is at 362 right now. I can usually reverse engineer a green barrel to a blue in 3-5 tries and a blue barrel to purple in about the same. Weapons are a whole different issue though. I was able to reverse engineer some level 9 weapons to blue but after that nothing. I ran 58 green level 25 shotguns and got nothing, another 64 green level 33 blasters and nothing. Also tried countless numbers of green vibroblades and blaster rifles in the 25-35 range and nothing. Is this thing busted? The only blue weapons I have been able to get past level 9 were recipes bough on the market.

    Imperials op

Maybe L2P? Seriously, the servers I have Republic toons on are home to some of the worst PvP'ers I've ever seen. They just get out played in around 80% of the matches, it has nothing to do with Empire being OP'd.
  19. During beta as full sawbones spec, I found Bowdaar to be a better tank. I think he does slightly less damage then Corso if they both have decent gear on though.
  20. This. Got to learn how to move around your target.
  21. Never had any issues leveling as Concealment. Now if you go all heal, that is slow going solo.
  22. So true. Go pick off those healers or casters AoE'ing in the backm away from the group or burn that sniper sitting up on the ledge all by his lonesome
  23. Not everyone uses macros or thinks to hit it before each backstab, in essence that's what any good operative would do though. My only guess is they did it for balance reasons thinking if it's an activated buff it wouldn't be over the top.
  24. Depends, sages are very squishy no matter how good of a healer they are Most can be killed before they even get up from Jarring Strike. Troopers are a different matter...
