Bluehufsa I'm under the impression how you don't get it that for some people are the romances with Lana and Arcann as important as are for you the ones with the characters voiced by the Troy Barker ( Theron and Zenith ) . You start the threads about how the others are bad but you mind if anyone say anything negative about the characters you like.

My argument was that those characters are important part of both the SWTOR story and the lore , and that's the fact here and not some random companions like those we get from the SF missions and the cartel market. And that's also the main reason why the players saw the appeal in them and asked for the chance to be obtained again. When I said that I didn't meant on how much players can interact with them when they recruit them or if anything changes because of that in their personal story , I meant on the bigger picture, and was talking in general.

For your view that argument is not relevant obviously , but for my is and I bet how I'm not the only one who see that companion in the same way as I do.

Well I don't see that in that way , having Shae Vizla as my companion which is a well known character from the first trailers of this game and the novels and which has one entire chapter in KOTFE storyline and a dungeon about her and the mandalorians in the game is not the same for me as having some random mount ,outfit or a companion from the SF missions.....

Interesting enough, I never had any impression how the people were asking on the forum for " everything " to be given to them, they were asking mostly for the specific companions which are an important part of the story and lore in the SWTOR which is an story driven MMO to be returned. And that would be akin to the hypothetical situation for example if some of the subscribers in WoW which is an endgame centric MMO would be asking to get the access to some dungeons and raids because the access for them would be given only to some subscribers and not to all. Also when the people proposed that , they said how they could be given under the same conditions under which they were obtained in the past.

You are entitled to your own opinion but its just that - an opinion and not a fact, I don't share it , and the news are out how we will be actually getting now a new expansion in 6.0. so that doesn't look to me how this game is going anywhere anytime soon. For one BW never stated how those companions which they are giving now are exclusive , for the other have you even thought that circumstances changed and how there were enough of subscribers which wanted to see those companions returned and how there could be a lot of current subscribers which dont have some of those companions and how thats the reason why are they giving them now ? Besides they are using them to entice the people to sub to the game just like they did the same thing with them in the past. But we are going now in the circle with this entire discussion because most of the comments here are just repeated, if you actually bothered to read this thread you would have seen that. There will always be people which will not like some parts of the story, but that doesn't mean how its poorly done nor that means how the devs don't care about the content. Gameplay is overall in a good shape , that's my POV but nothing is ever perfect and there is always a room for improvements.

I'm actually very happy for this news how we will be finally getting an expansion for this game, hope its a big one I always preferred imp vs rep story and that always felt more like SW to me than the entire Zakuul thing which I had enough of in KOTXX series. It would make me sad to see that Malgus is dead because he is such an awesome character , I hope its not since I always wished to see an expansion centered among other things on his return and I bet how many other players would want him back to since he is one of the all time favorite characters of the community.

I said how this promotion for me is one of the reasons why I prolonged my sub but I didn't said how it is the only reason and there is difference in that, but sure there are some people for which will this be main reason, because people which didn't had them actually did feel how they are missing on the content in this game , and the same content some other subscribers enjoyed for a long time now.

People which wanted them back proposed even this as one of the options of bringing them back in some threads. Yes some of them like me are still subbed but that subscription itself needs to be prolonged over time and people base their decisions will they continue subbing or not based on the fact are they happy with the game they are playing or not , and for some of us ( and me included ) this promotion was one of the reasons which made us to prolong it. I said how in those promotions the characters were actually offered as a chance to get them for that time when they were offered and nowhere I did said as one time only forever..... . So nope BW actually didn't by doing this now broke any promise since it never obliged itself how it will never release them again in the first place. When it comes to offering also something to those subscribers which have both of them than we agree on that point. Well we can just speculate at this point what will be the results of the entire thing, for some people this is a good incentive to continue subbing and for some other to come back to the game. Some long time players will not stop subbing to this game because of the decision of giving those two companions to other subs which still don't have them because they care about the overall state of the game and not just only about some particular things and like the game itself for the entire content it offers. Also we don't know how many current subscribers actually don't have some of the companions offered in this promotion, my guess is that there are many still which don't have both and which will be now happy to get the one they are missing.

Lets be clear about something, BW in the previous offers stated only how they are the chance to get those companions in their time but never actually made any proclamation which would be legally binding and which would oblige it to never release those companions again. But I got it that some people could just interpret things on the wrong way. I think how BW decided to make this move now based on all the requests for this companions to be re-released again from the part of the subscribers and from its fans since some really wanted to see those re-released in some shape or form because they are important part of the lore of this game which is a story centric MMO. Also devs would not probably release them again if they wouldn't have seen in their track records how a lot of the current subscribers don't have some of them yet. But as I said before they should also offer something as an option to those which already got both.

When they said how its unique they didn't meant exclusive. They meant how that character is one of its kind , well known in this game, and different enough from all the others.

I don't think how it would be cool to have Darth Malgus , Satele Shan or Darth Decimus turned into bots which would just follow us around and never comment on anything or show up in the cinematics.

Some silver items are really nice , force apprentice set for example looks great - its very similar in the style to the one which is Rey wearing in the new movies , so I'm surprised how its not labeled as gold instead.

This is pure gambling, and this thread is just misleading. I just bought one and got all the crappy items which aren't good for saling on the GTN even : one silver sniper rifle and there are ton like that on the GTN, a bronze assault cannon, useless deco, one fugly bronze crystal and a companion gift. But I learned now my lesson , will never gamble with the packs again, its just not worthy. Its always better to save the cc to purchase something nice on the CM directly, especially when the prices go down a bit for it.

I will never pay for anything in this game more than 2500 cc no matter how cool it is, that's just over the top when it comes to pricing.

Simple, OP didn't subbed yet but used a referral link with which he got 7 days of gaming free and all the rights as if he subbed.

It was always like that when it comes to classes, people were asking for some to be nerfed because they didn't know how to play against them in PvP. Sorcs and sages were also victims of those nerfs at one point. People can say whatever they want but is up to BW will they listen them or not, especially when it comes to things like this designers need to know what they are doing. Companions are fine now currently as they are and vanilla content is so damn easy that it can be played naked. It was a lot more challenging when this game launched. Yeah because the community writes the story in this game and not the professional writers in the BW so it should be blamed for that People are actually asking for more group content in this game , wow that's a surprise for an MMO especially considering the fact that KOTFE and KOTET were focused mostly on the single player content. And I don't see how ops people are responsible for the current state of the game, we got like what - 1 single op released in an entire year ( so you cant really say how most of the development resources went into that direction while other content was ignored because of it ) and not the fact that this game is seriously underfunded. One of the problems with this game is that a lot of MMO players are leaving it because of the lack of the support when it comes to the group content compared to some other MMOS. Also if you don't do some content doesn't mean that other people aren't doing it and how they aren't interested for it, so please don't speak for all.

I think how the LFG tool for the dungeons and raids was added because the players requested it, this game actually launched without one so you had to manually form a party and go to the dungeon entrance to be able to start the dungeon. Same thing with the outfit designer which was also added to the game because of the community feedback. And those two are very important parts of the game when it comes to the player experience.

From my experience ( and I have done the newest expansions on the vet mode ) all companions are viable tanks except HK 51 which doesn't have an aoe taunt ability. How companions are performing is not determined by the fact are they ranged or melee but by the influence we have on them. I think how all the companions from 20 to 30 influence are doing just fine, and how everything more than that is just a bonus. On my chars I'm raising the influence now fast by unlocking the things for that in the legacy when I start with the new ones and by doing the planetary heroics with my high level one which has done KOTFE and which gets plenty of the companion gifts as a reward from doing that from those alliance loot crates in Odessen.

Well I think how LS Ashara would be disappointed with the republic to frankly when she would realize how much hypocrisy is hidden under its umbrella and discover for example the entire history how republic treated aliens on the Taris or what's doing with the prisoners and aliens on the Belsavis. Another thing is , I think how Ashara which would lean towards the dark side would criticize the aliens ( slaves ) and take the stance how they need to rise up and fight for their positions and rights in the galaxy and not be content with their current positions. Also she is a companion to none other than the Darth Nox which case has proven how with enough strength and determination even the former slave can rise in the empire ranks to the highest positions. And believe me none is insulting Darth Nox in the empire anymore, even the people which would do that give up from that because they are afraid of all the power of that character. Also with some different leaders on the empire side with the views like Malgus has about the aliens there is a chance that the empire would be reformed from the inside, even Ashara is advocating that path in the story ( and its doing just that slowly over the time, you even meet for example on the Makeb a cathar high ranked officer of the empire army ) . About the Xalex I agree with you, he is added to late in the story and at that point the player cannot build good connection with that character.

That's the problem with the romances in this game, some of the vanilla romances were great but once vanilla companions were moved to the side in the story and all the spotlights got Theron and Lana and other new characters they stopped to be viable as those with the new characters. I mean what’s the point of staying in the romance with those old chars if all we are getting now from them are only 2 mins cutscenes in the game ( if even that ) with some letters occasionally ?

You know what people say about the beauty, how it doesn't matter only what its showing outside but how its way more important that what's inside of someone, and Lana is awesome character - nice , clever, caring, altruistic, and I gladly have someone like that by my side.
