  1. inXile already has his owns writers, they like to bring Avellone in to write parts of their games, but not as lead writer. Many plot points for kotor 2 were not followed through on swtor, Avellone could come in and fill in those gaps for the fans, if Bioware would have him.
  2. I think nothing would service the story better than bringing the lead writers for KOTOR 1 and 2 to contribute to the story of KotFE. Karpyshyn has commented he's almost done with his fantasy trilogy (if not done already) and also mentioned that he'd be interested in working again in the gaming industry if the right offer came along. Avellone is no longer with Obsidian but is still working as a freelancer as far as I know. It seems that with the new episodic format, they are letting writers take care of whole chapters, for example Alex Freed commented that he'll be writing (already has actually) two chapters for KotFE Season 1, and it would be great to have these two veteran writers work on a chapter or two for the new expansion, I don't care if it happens for Season 2 or 3, but as long as it happens, I'll be happy.
  3. I doubt there's minimum of 1 hour of story content (only dialogue/cutscenes without gameplay) per chapter, it would be neat, but I doubt it. Maybe there is 1 hour of cutscenes/dialogue when put all the optional dialogues that have been recorded for the main character and the NPCs and somehow Lady Insanity misunderstood them.
  4. Does anyone know if RoT is still in place in Episode 7? Also, some people argue that RoT Sith are way more powerful that any Sith that lived previously to RoT because it's a better method of passing down knowledge.
  5. The biggest debates don't usually come from game characters VS game characters. But from game characters VS movie characters
  6. I thought this thread was talking about Tano Vik
  7. Well, when the game launched there were attempts to have an Open World PVP area on Ilum and it ended up being scrapped, I'd love them to get back to that instead of an event that comes once a year.
  8. The expansions are very lacking when you compare them to 1-50 class stories. Lack of player choice with lasting impact, such as saving someone in chapter 1 for them to make a return in chapter 3 to help you. Also the expansion are dead when it comes to companion interaction, which according to Bioware is their most powerful storytelling tool according to documentarias and trailers they did pre-launch.
  9. That was fun, he even says Vader's famous line. I'm puzzled when people think swtor is anything but a video game mirror of the movies, but with more Jedi and SIth running around. There's no reason to think both eras shouldn't have force users equally powerful. But for the moment this discussion has run it's course, I will have to catch up with it later.
  10. Should be amusing. But I also think it shows the discussion has reached a high point in absurdity if we're going to go into H2H combat.
  11. Yeah, I see what you're saying. Maybe this is a pointless exercise. I'm not even sure I agree with the way to interpret canon within game stories in the first place.
  12. So does that mean nobody from the movies or it means that we really can't tell?
  13. Didn't Baras do that too? This is so much non-sense when all of you know well all the fightscenes in the game happen through gameplay.
  14. Man, that monitor was expensive. Out of curiousity, if Wrath and Nox can't defeat Vader and Dooku, who do you think they CAN defeat from the movies?
  15. Nox doesn't have Force Push as a game ability, but he used it on cutscenes, with the backing of several force ghost, there's not telling the extent of his Telekinetic powers or Lightning abilities.
  16. Also there's more evidence beyond that indicating that Nox has powerful TK powers.
  17. He was a mere apprentice at that time, and had a long way to go before turning into the Emperor's Wrath, let alone the Empire's Wrath.
  18. Also if this is not considered as one of Nox achievements I'll know not to take the poster seriously.
  19. This is a good mirror of young palpatine who performed amazing feats without even being trained in the force, before Plagueis took him as an apprentice. And he survived an AT-AT being dropped on his head
  20. Sounds cool, but I'm more interested on what Disney will do with the Franchise going beyond Episode VI (My theory is that Rey will be the one to become a Jedi in Episode VII, it should be interesting to have a female Jedi that's more than a background character) Video Games are way ahead of movies when it comes to to having female Jedi or Sith as protagonists, but movie makers keep looking down on video games. I don't expect characters from Legends/EU being name dropped, least of all anything regarding the Old Republic era.
  21. Yeah, I don't know what's the point in using C-canon rules for this discussion (which has been used for the most part anyway) when C-canon doesn't even exist anymore. I don't see a big difference between the Old Republic Era and the Movie Era when it comes to technology, the force or ligthsaber techniques, so the only reason that one would undoubtely say that the creap of the crop of one era is better than other era is personal preference, or an appeal to popularity. And we weren't even talking about the creap of the crop to begin with (Sidous, Yoda), but rather, Sidious apprentices, Vader and Dooku.
  22. And what did these holocrons say about the abilities and power of wrath and Nox, and do we know for a fact that they exist? I'm ok with taking into account out of universe statements, but Yoda was not the one in question here.
  23. Well, people often bring up a quotes of a great duelists, praising another great duelists, and that is used to establish they are the best of all time. and I'm like "really?" First, many novels came out years before SWTOR was even in pre-production, the authors didn't even knew the about characters like wrath and nox because they didn't exist. Secondly, when getting praise for your skill as a duelist it makes sense that this is relative to other duelist contemporary to you and not people that live 3000 or 5000 years before you, it serves no practical purpouse for one since by the time of the movies anyone that lived in the Old Republic era should be dust, and secondly, even the oldest the Jedi such as Yoda was born thousands of years after the Galactic War and never met the duelists of that time.
  24. I hope I don't have to read more quotes from movie characters praising each other skills on novelizations that came out about a decade before SWTOR even existed
  25. I think that from an early design standpoint, the Sith Warrior was the most grounded in the lore, most of his force abilities had appeared in movies, other than that he is mostly about ligthsaber attacks. I do think they were much crazy when designing powers for the Sorc, but if the game power are not considered C-Canon or Legends... then I the way I see it that makes Nox a much more dangerous duelists, because without his game power Nox is going to have to rely much more on his lightsaber prowess.
