Heh, the idea that there should only be two sith was not very smart and had one fatal flaw that ultimately caused it's failure, if you only have two sith in the whole galaxy, and at some point they're supposed to kill one another, what if they both end up dying during this confrontation? I'm not surprised Vader and Sidious destroyed each other, I'm surprised that in 1000 years, this is the first time it happened. Now, it remains to be seen if the RoT is still being implemented on Episode 7, but until that movie is released, all we know is that RoT crashed and burned with Papatine down that reactor shaft. I don't know if Abrams and Disney are going to be respecting anything beyond the movies and maybe give nods to the lore and story of the EU, or if they have no idea or don't care of the whole galaxy that exists beyond the movies and are just going to do whatever they like and throw in some heavy handed political message. I think the latter.

I think I saw a movie as a little kid that contradicts that statement... you might have heard of it it was called Return of the Jedi, and it involved someone being thrown down a reactor shaft. I wouldnt call that a victory.

Do NPCs make references to your neutral alignment if you decide to go that way in the JK JC stories?

Don't you recruit a mandalorian companion as the smuggler? At this point I still think KotFE could be a big win or a big fail, but at least there is opportunity, if the mandalorians are a faction that we need to win over in order to defeat Valkorion, then maybe republic players will get to talk to them in a more friendly term.

Just to clarify, the mandos loyal to Revan that you meet are part of the Revanites quest available to ALL classes, not just BH.

Well for Gray Jedi I was thinking someone along the lines of Qui-Gon Jin, who defies the Jedi Council, uses the force questionably but for the greater good, like rigging bets in his favor or mind tricking the Gungan King, however is is still very much one of the good guy. Then is the Dark Jedi, Anakin-style who is arrogant and just goes too far and ends up falling. Which one plays better for the JK and JC stories?

This mirrors what he said in an interview earlier with shmoeknows earlier this year. Alex Freed kinda did the same thing, not necessarily shred down established Star Wars ideas, but to challenge and oppose them, for instance the Agent story shows how at odds the normal people/Imperial citizens are with the entitled and capricious Sith Lords, and even the antagonists are opposed to force users in general. Also some plotpoints kinda dropped from KOTOR 2 were: -The role of The Exile companions in rebuilding the Jedi Order, -Canderous uniting the clans to support Revan (in Dromund Kass you find out that there are Mandos loyal to Revan, but Canderous is not mentioned) -Many things that Kreia said, but her death 300 years ago, I think most of her philosophy was taken to the grave with her.

Well I haven't read Revan but it's only rated 0.3 points below Path of Destruction, and people seem to always praise Karpyshyn for his Darth Bane novels.

I've been holding off on rolling the Jedi classes before because I wanted them to be Togruta, I resubbed about 2 months ago and now that the new race is about to be released I need advice on what alignment (That is NOT light) fits best for JK and JC. In SW and SI stories, the NPCs sometimes acknowledge your Gray/Neutral alignment, by calling "unknowable" or "inscrutable" are there similar references in the JK or JC story? My idea is to play a non-typical Jedi, and I really like the idea of being either gray or dark. Pls try to avoid spoilers, I've already heard how these stories end, but I have little idea of the journey they took to get there =) Thanks all!

Karpyshyn maybe writing something for Bioware is not something crazy to hope for since he's former Bioware, said he wouldn't have a problem coming back to gaming at some point, and that if he comes back it will most likely be to Bioware. Avellone is much more unlikely, since he has no ties to Bioware as far as I know, and his style of writing is different than KOTOR 1 and SWTOR, but if they let him write maybe a few chapters eventually it might bring nuance to KotFE.

I CAN'T AGREE WITH THIS MORE, other games over abuse story and lore blogs because they are simply bad at adding story in their games, Bioware should be above that.

I haven't read it, I think what people found depressing is that the heroes of KOTOR 1 & 2 were defeated in that book. Well, Im certainly not asking for the level designers of Obsidian to come to swtor, but Avellone is credited with writing the character of Kreia, which many people like

Guys... they're planning more than one Season for KotFE

He was brought in to contribute to some bits of the JK story and Maelstrom Prison and Foundry flashpoints, but he had no part on SoR as far as I know.

Charles Boyd (writer for trooper story, lead writer for SoR) is Lead writer for KotFE, I think. Alex Freed (Agent Story writer) has tweeted that he wrote 2 chapters for KotFE so far, so it leads me to believe they're bringing different writers from the class stories to write these chapters.

It all depends on weather the studio can arrange something with the writers or not.
