  1. You, and I, HOPE! this is what will happen. Previous experience with SOE/EQ2 means it WILL NOT happen.
  2. I just tried this and the game becomes a slide show! Now while I wasnt a long term tester I did partake in the 4 day California data center test, the feeling I got from the devs at the time was they didnt care what we had to say about anything other than latency. I also read a lot on leak sites that testers felt they were being ignored during beta.

Can you please explain, in detail, what the indented design philosophy and goal of the crafting system was ie: how you expected people to use it, how you expected and how fast you expected people to be able to obtain Prototypes and Artifacts from it, and how giving commendation upgrades and orange gear fits into the overall scheme and itemization of the game.   4. Don't you know silence is golden? The sound is great in this game, I love all the music and have all of it on my ipod, I love the sounds of blasters and lightsabers woooshhh waaaaamm pew pew! Too bad it only works for 5 minutes then just dies. Even better is the dead silence in a base/quest area, then walking 100ft away and all of a sudden getting ambient conversations from NPCs. Audio is more broken than the gfx in this game. At least with the gfx we at LEAST 100% of the time get the lousy low res flat textures and not 8bit blocks after a few min of playing.

  7. Ive said it in every thread on this issue, the only reason I think they exist is that the Devs COULD NOT figure out how to get 2 people to zone onto the same ship otherwise. The whole process should be click on ship exit zone onto planet outside of drop ship or elevator in starport. Get rid of airlock, orbital stations and even the hangers on the ground. If we need these damned set pieces for the story then thats the ONLY time we should see them!
  8. If he thought the R&R bit was dumb he should see what happens at 50 when the games says "Yeah so all that suff you just did, doesent matter go do poopy quests for gear before you do FPs for no reason 'cause itemization blows in this game"
  9. After maxing Zenith's affection all I can say is Id trade him, my ship and lightsaber for Mr. Ko or Hallow Voice. I can only hope that in an expansion either they flesh out out current companions, and we can FINALLY ask Tharen "Dude if you hate the force so much WHY are you here?" and/or we can get companions like Gaden-Ko and Hallow Voice.
  10. Check your Codex under Lore, Jedi Cultural Immersion. That's why you are there as a Consular. Other than that, you go to Tatooine because it was in ANH and therefore EVERYTHING related to star wars has to squeeze it in somehow.

  12. GTN should take some cues from EQ2 and let us sell stacks of items under 1 listing and price per item BUT let us buy 1 item at a time or in any quantity up to stack_max. This helps when selling and buying crafting mats because say you only need 1 or 2 of an item. Right now you have to but a stack which may not be what you want when it comes to a rare. This also means if you have a stack of rares instead of making several listings you make one, which would help database performance.

  16. Its because they couldn't figure out how to get 2 people onto 1 ship without clicking into that ship. And the reason I say this is because I helped my buddy do the final mission for his JK and when we left Droumond Kass and clicked the exit, he went to his ship I went to mine, but mine had no companions was his Story and I couldn't use the map...heck I couldn't even click out I had to call to the fleet I'd much rather it be click do of my ship arrive outside shuttle on planet, click shuttle on planet zone into my ship. For places with space ports on the planet, leave ship arrive in space port NO elevators!
  17. This EXACTLY! how I feel. The Class story was great and I enjoyed it a lot.....then it ended and I went to Illum. Illum is just a planet where you go kill 10 rats over and over and over again, I actually felt heartbroken and logged out to watch TV when this happened and didnt really play for the rest of that weekend.
  18. SOE has better support. But to answer the OP, as of right now other than Biochem crafting is useless and the system has many flaws, such as the huge money sink for new players, amount of time, cost to make a prototype/artifact grade item.

  20. Crafting and itemization in general needs an overhaul. Crafting is made useless from level 10-49 from Orange gear and Commendation vendors on every planet, then useless at level 50 from the commendations from dailies. Another problem is the entire mission system, spend HUGE amounts to get rares to make gear that you then have to sell for HUGE amounts to break even on, from 10-49 how is that supposed to even work? And I DONT want to hear that half the crafting system is only designed for when you roll an alt at 50 and you spend your 80bajalion credits on yourself, this means that crafting is not intended for new people leveling their first character, does that even SOUND right to you? Another problem with crafting is even if it was useful theres too much to make, why is it that I have 22 versions of the same hilt over 41 levels? That means I need to upgrade every 1.86 levels, and if I dont have to upgrade each time then WHY do they exist at all? Then we get to level 50, ok crafting should NOT be making BiS or loads of items for people at this point, but every skill should have something a level 50 would need, like a consumable. Also there should be the one or two rare schematics. Lastly everything a crafter makes should be sellable to everyone, and materials should also be sellable. BW should look at the EQ2 method of crafting, new weapons/armor/items every 10 levels that are good for 10 levels. These items fall between greens, which should JUST be used for skill ups, and FP drops/quest rewards. At level cap, every craft has something consumable that everyone can use and has a need for. Rares should be able to be harvested from nodes as well as gotten from missions and REing needs to be less of a money sink. Orange items need to have some limit too when it comes to drops, you can leave your capital with 3 orange armor items means 3 less slots a crafter needs to even have recipes for.
