  1. In some ways it is better. With TOR, every single quest, e-mail, NPC, item, dialog, message, tooltip, mapnote etc are stored in the client and therefore available to torhead. The only thing missing is linking it together by saying which npc drops which item. With WOW, most of these things were sent from the server and only cached clientside when you saw them.
  2. They're random drops. You can get them from treasure hunting lootboxes though
  3. all masks remove hoods, except for headgear that is both a mask and hood
  4. I'm happy that it is BOP, but I am unhappy that it is simply recolored garbage.
  5. I'm not sure what surprises me more. That your server has players on the Republic side, or that people are playing Ilum as intended.
  6. That would be nice. 1.1.1 adds daily commendations to the last 2 missions btw
  7. You just got to 50 and you have farmed 30 bags?

    Hey! BW!

    1) Click button in top-left of ops frame 2) Click unlock frame 3) Drag frame somewhere else? 4) Keep thread because UI is still terrible
  9. For the record, the colors found in the assets (which does not mean they can currently be found in-game) are: Red Green Blue Cyan Magenta Yellow Black White Orange Purple Black-Yellow Black-Blue Black-Green Black-Light Blue Black-Light Red Black-Orange Black-Purple Black-Red Black-White Razer Green So quite a few more than you have listed. Not all of them have corresponding crystals though, which means they can't be found or the crystals aren't removable I suppose
  10. The trainer is missing a lot of the higher level mods. Someone once posted that these are the same mods the artifice trainer was erroneously selling but I never checked myself. Cybertech schematics come from slicing missions and drops, but I've never seen a schematic for mods/armor from either. You can't learn new schematics from reverse engineering, just better versions of your existing schematics like you've already experienced.
  11. Those are enhancements, not mods. Look at mods at your own link, or armoring for that matter.
  12. This is a bit off topic, but I was really disappointed when I rolled my first alt and realized the story doesn't work this way.
  13. I have no interest in instant travel or anything, but I really can't stand the travel system in this game. I've played games where travel can take hours and was more enjoyable. The travel time in this game is just so... artificial. You don't actually spend any time traveling between the planets. Your ship is always there ready to instantly take you to another galaxy yet it can take 10 minutes of mindless manual running and loading screens to get up to the ship and back down. In the end, I'm annoyed and I don't feel like I've actually gone anywhere.
  14. Only one? There is a thread about this every day... On US keyboards this key is located on the other side, out of the way. Who knows why Bioware doesn't let you remap the customer service window though
  15. The patchnotes disagree. "An Item Modification Table has been added to the Supplies areas of the Republic and Imperial Fleets." Added in 1.1
  16. Bioware won't even hire people to run individual server forums or answer tickets in-game, so don't count on it. EA already got burned by their volunteer staff for UO so that probably won't happen again. GM events are fantastic, but MMOs really have gotten too big to support them. My favorite GM-driven games are actually the ones made by Simutronics, of HeroEngine fame. They're text-based though, and they only have to support a few thousand people.
  17. Part of the problem is that people keep calling it the GTN. The neutral market is called the Hutt Cartel Trade Network, not the Galactic Trade Network. Anyways, I'd be more likely to use it if it had a 7-day auction time given the reduced traffic.
  18. High level tanking mods are not even craftable... There is definitely a window where players can beat the commendation mods, but that ends at 50
  19. Hey, that's almost enough for intergalactic travel but not a taxi ride
  20. This isn't true. Mods don't have different variations of each item. Further, not only can you buy them all, the ones you can buy are better. It's not only a level 50 thing either. At the low levels, you can only make even numbered mods while the vendors sell both even and odd numbered.
  21. This, my bad. "Comparative tooltips for researched items no longer have their stats reversed." http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=212341
  22. This was fixed in today's patch, according to the notes.
  23. It's not fair to expect them to hire enough moderators to handle more forums. It's not like you're paying for this service, Next you will expect them to hire enough people to read individual CS tickets.
