My favourite so far has been a Prototype Powertech. I am currently playing a Tactics Vanguard which is lvl 39. I liked the story for the Powertech, but I think I have enjoyed the trooper story more, but that is my preference. As to the visuals of various skills, some I prefer the Prototype animation and some the Tactics. I think initially Powertech has an advantage due to it getting a healer companion first up, but the Troopers 2nd comanion is a healer, so not much disparity there. Though I rather like catman as a companion.

Sorry got a bit off topic with my last reply, I'm at work, so cannot give exact details, but my Sniper buffed has around 1919 cunning, yet bonus damage is around 530( this is from Sorc buff only due to an alt, I cannot remember what it is when I get the War buff as well ). At a guess you need more power, your crit chance is very high( mine is 36% ), but surge isn't( mine is 64% ). You do play an Engineering build though, I don't know enough about these to speculate what would be ideal, just giving a comparison( my build is 2/8/31 )

I was interested in what you wrote about the Energy Surge Device, having spare coms I have thought about getting one, but have been waiting for more information before doing so. Though you are speculating it was interesting to read. Would be nice if someone had some hard data regarding this item and posting it here.

I think they should make it free for say the first 3 months that the service is in place. This will allow people to migrate until they find a new home. The only problem with making it free is the service may become overloaded, charging a price would stop people jumping around on a whim. Regardless of whether it costs or not, the sooner it is in place the better.

They are not confused, they are referring to the modifications to insert into orange armour: Armour and mod slots. Thats how I read it anyway

Transfers to the Oceania servers will be available at a later date? I am asking as I would prefer to transfer when guildies of mine from other area's of the globe can also transfer.

Not sure how many points it takes to get Cull, but as soon as you can, then I think it becomes worth while. 2/8/31 seems to be popular, I would think getting the 2 from MM and the 5 from the bottom row of Engineering first might be worthwhile, but not necesary( a bit of guess work here ).

Wouldnt have any issue if they removed cover. I use it as its part of the class, but if it wasn't, I would be fine with that. I do play a Lethal/Eng build so I don't have to use it so much, some people really seem to like it though. Possibly BW could change the trees so mm snipers get to keep there cover and Lethality does not( doubt it would happen though, to much work involved, removing it all together would be far easier I think ).

The sensor slot can be bought with coms from Dromund Kas, I think thats where I got mine from, its not the only planet where it can be found either. The only annoying about modding Scorpio is not getting an orange weapon from the Bel Savis daily quest( Lights out I think its called, just guessing as I'm at work ).

I like Scorpio, I really like the bots attitude, also I group with a healer friend fairly regular who brings a dps companion for dailies. Edit: I'm a sniper

I have exactly the same build as Ott, I like it, I find it fun to play. But to those of a scientific bent, I cannot supply you any evidence of its worth. I think its burst is good, aoe is good, but on long fights it may fall down energy wise due to having to prop up the rotation with cheap filler more so than other builds( A guess on my part, guys like Tibbel are the ones to ask for fact based evidence ).

I'm not mm spec, so don't use that much, neither care for it, or really hate it. If they did remove it, I would be curious to see what would replace it, maybe a permanent shield buff of say 10-15%, preferably that didnt stick out like a neon sign. Having said that, I don't think it will get changed anytime soon, if at all.

I chose Biochem along with Bioanlysis and Diplomacy. I found the reusable medpacs handy for lvling and now at endgame I have reusable Rakata Stim, Adrenal and Medpac. I always thought these would be handy before the game came out and chose them from day one, apparently they were better at one stage, the Rakata items that is. but I'm no power lvler and have been 50 for about a month so didn't get to miss anything. Just as an fyi the Stim gives me 136 cunning and 56 power. Have a look at how the crew skills are changing in 1.2, Biochem is remaining the same, but others are getting improvements I think.

It's not looking good then. On a postive note, you only have to post one more thread explaining your rage and /unsub then you will be done with this living hell called SWTOR for good. I'm not usually so crass, but the huge amounts of whine and nashing of teeth I have read to day, including somone referring to 1.2 as SWTOR NGE, just sounds like so much I'm entitled to the world drivel. I can understand people debating change, but your thread is not that, its just negative guess work.

I browsed this thread and saw someone mention TOR and incredible amount of grinding. I had to post after reading that as it was very loltastic, I have played MMO since EQ2 came out, so a few years, it was common when that first came out for people to put groups together and grind heroic mobs( elites in TOR ) to lvl. I have not found TOR to be a huge grind myself, its not terribly original, aside from the storys and voice overs, and getting to 50 does not take to long, certainly far less time than it took me in EQ2.

Hmm I don't understand the issue with Vent/TS, I get in vent with guidies and we chit chat, I don't hear any drama, happy to admit though that most are in their 30's or over. As to pugs, well the game doesnt have voice chat like some do, so there is no chatting. The go go go thing can be a bit annoying, somedays it doesnt bother me, others I would like to take it easy, but I think a lot of people are in a race to cram as many flashpoihts as possible into there daily gametime.

I understand your point of view op and agree to a point, but I doubt it will happen. When grouping in EQ2, I found that a lot of people wanted to blow through group content as fast as possible, raid equiped toons of course are quicker than those that were not. It didn't affect me, but I can remember getting into groups and seeing people being refused due to the quality of there gear. I think BW likes the way things are as it gives those who play less a chance to gain some deceng gear without having to raid. The current set up is friendly to those who play less, so potenially more subs from people who don't have as much time play as you or myself.

I'm not religious, but the forums get very biblical at times, much wailing and nashing of teeth. Its not the best game I have played, neither is it the worst, I play it a couple of hours a day when I can, sometimes more if I have the time. Its a cheap hobby compared to many others. For a hundred down and 25 a month( NZ dollars ) I do not expect life altering events to occur, reading some of the posts here, it sounds like some are expecting the Rapture to happen and Luke SkyWalker to come down to earth on a beam of light. Its a game, if your not happy say your piece and leave and when I say piece, it only has to be once, not 25 notes of 5 paragraphs each of woe is me /unsub.

I am filled with great envy, its obvious that the designers at BW are smoking more than cigarettes during their breaks. Application INC.
