  1. All your abilities work fine with Vibroswords, including Rupture. The line on the tooltip just means you need to be dual wielding to use. Two Sabers, Two Vibroswords, One of each, all work. I only use dual vibroswords and have had no issues.
  2. Heh 50 subs. Well if you have 50 warrior friends willing to quit over this, why aren't they in your thread supporting you?
  3. You either need more affection or You aren't at the right point of your main class storyline yet. I know there's a plot point you need to pass in Chapter 1 before you'll be offered it. If you're already past Chapter 1, then you'll need more affection.
  4. Making him a servant was tempting, but he had to die for killing the girl I was flirting with.
  5. Because talking in Rebreather Voice is one of the most powerful abilities of the dark side. edit: Investigating further, I think this is a racial thing. Rebreather shows up fine on my Cyborg Sith, but I know for a fact many headwear pieces are no longer visible on Twi'leks. I suspect something similar is going on with Purebloods. Couldn't tell you if its intentional or a bug though. I didnt see any mention of a purposeful change on the patch notes.
  6. Me either. Vector doesn't betray you. He betrays his own people for you.
  7. My wife wants to romance him badly. She'd be okay with either gender on that one. I think he should be an option. I think he'd make a fun contrast to Revel (or Ashara)
  8. Not quite what I meant. Torian/Akaavi can hold aggro on all the targets except the on you're focusing on. Buying you time to pick and take down your targets. Works pretty well unless you are doing heavy AOE moves yourself. Or are a taunting powertech tank of course.
  9. If he's holding the attention of most of the mobs you're fighting and not dying then he's 'tanking' for you. I nearly qualify Torian and Akaavi (who's got the same skillset) as dps/tank hybrids for that reason. Sure no actual 'taunts' but they dish out enough AOE damage that they can keep groups busy until you're ready to deal with them. I prefer Akaavi a little more, but thats only because she's Batman. (Or Batmandolorian, as the wife likes to call her)
  10. Every time I open my mouth to Baras I get +15 with Vette and a minus on Quinn. I can't resist picking on the man, and he proves surprisingly tolerant of it, all things considered. But I still call him 'Darth Fatpants' ever since I heard an NPC soldier on Taris(republic) calling her superior 'Commander Fatpants.' Just kind of stuck.
  11. If I were purposely creating someone to play with him, I'd probably go Mercenary. So you could cover heals and longer range attacks while he jumps in and does melee. My Powertech found him the least desirable companion because there was too much overlap in their abilities. Being both melee ranged Heavy armor wearing DPS with flamethrowers. Only real difference was weapon type. But on the plus side, the synchronized spining flame attacks sure looked pretty.
  12. Heh. I was just about to say this exact same gun. Its glowing red lights look great on my Pyrotech. My Smuggler likes the Watchman Blaster for its sawed off shotgun look. Wish it were a smidge larger though.
  13. This is one rare point where something is Better with Quinn. Since you can cry out "Captain, My Captain!"
  14. Smuggler storyline starts off pretty dull. But really picks up by the time you get to Nar Shad. Bowdaar is alot of fun and he even makes Corso more fun at points. By the time you get to Tattooine the funny just doesn't stop. Some really priceless moments in there. All the Smuggler companions are fun. My only issue with Corso is you get stuck so long with only him, and its during the dullest parts of the storyline. So its easy to link those two things in your mind. I'll agree with the previous poster about how dull the Consular plotline is.
  15. She was terrible, so no thanks. Even if you could ignore her horrid personality, she's still useless. Captured by Cathar, Captured again by padawans with training sticks...just embarassing, given her level of bragging. She's the poster child for 'stupid-evil.' Even my Lightside characters kill her without a second thought.
  16. Depending on how you think of it, 'Pierce!' might be an entirely appropriate word to moan on such occasions.
  17. I use Vette about 70% of the time, Jaesa about 20%, Pierce 5% and Quinn only when forced at gunpoint. Broonmark I can't even figure out why he's on my ship. I'd leave both him and Quinn on Hoth if I could.
  18. You cant kill, get rid of, or otherwise not recruit any companion. Including Gault. I did try pretty hard to kill Gault, or at least turn him in. Mainly because it really bothered me that letting him join my crew meant I cheated on the Great Hunt. Exactly the same thing I accused Tarro Blood of doing. Having said that, I really like him. He eventually grew on me quite a bit, even though I don't use him as much as I'd like. Mako and Blizz get most of my companion time. He does get some pretty funny lines if he's along though.
  19. Its a bug thats a result of them fixing Companion stances so they don't turn off when player zones. It happens on every lightsaber or gun wielding companion. Just turn her stances off and her weapons will be away when you summon her.
  20. Its much easier than that. Just shut her stances off and she wont do that when you summon her. Also works with companions that always have their guns out. The bug started when they fixed companion stances shutting themselves off when you zoned.
  21. Its because they want her to wear trooper style armor not Jedi that they made Aim her primary stat. On the plus side, in 1.2 there will be orange techblades and techstaves that will use 'barrels' to determine damage.
  22. There's no difference at all damagewise. Whenever they did the change to make all mod weapons for players orange icons, they forgot to include companion weapons. The only place color matters is the mod you put into it.
  23. Just to point this out, in case you hadn't noticed, the sniper rifle Risha comes with is a fully moddable. Its an 'orange' gun even though its border is green.
  24. Did this as an operative so how I did it won't be much help. But remember you can slice one of the turrets. I'd try that and kill the next turret closest to you then focus both you and Kali on Denri. It may be possible to take out multiple turrets before triggering the respawn, but I'd keep one sliced the entire battle. Hopefully a sniper here can give better class specific advice.
  25. Probably once you hit Chapter 2. Most relationship conversation is blocked by chapter. Kira is one of the few you can actually start a romance with while still in Chapter 1.
