This thread is going round and round. The pro X-server group seem to miss over the points brought forward, blind that other alternatives work and have worked for nearly 2 decades. Then they start making assumptions to why we dont want x-server. BW feel the same, im sure they are assuming aswell ey? X-server allows people to find a group - So does the current system It allows players to find players at anytime - So does a server merg, you will always find players who game around the same time you do. Its how MMOs have worked for years, Way before your presious WoW. So, if all bases are covered with other systems which are incoming and have been addressed. Why are you making up reasons for X server? because wow has it.... TOR isnt wow, BW are not Bliz.

If my guild pugs to fill a spot, without voice chat its a pain to get everyone on the same page. So we insist on a headset and to join our voice comm server. Most people do, if not they find another group. Been a hermit in an MMO only gets you so far.

If you complete every side quest, along with your class quests on every planet. You will over level. so, you are missing something somewhere.

Ive gotta agree, yeh we have some issues. But nothing other games dont have, and nothing that wont get sorted out. Our issue is the community imo. Its horrible. Kids ranting and raving throwing demands. Add x-server or im quitting. "See ya" Trying to mould this game into another WoW baffles me, go play WoW, its still up and running. What happened to the days when a dev company makes THERE game. These kids today need to realise more things will come, everything takes time. If only they saw WoW at launch, now that was terrible. Anyway yeh i totally agree. The operations are epic. Gone are the days of checking a mod to tell you what to do. Now players have to keep an eye on the fight themselves. This adds a much better experience. Plus, BW wont be creating fights catered to a mod, Now its actually catered to the classes and control system. Yeeeh.

Everytime we were facing a wipe. The tank kept the agro on the boss while the whole team exited area. This in a raiding system is bad. When you fail. You shoulds have to pay the price, this pushes people to move forward, to get better. While before, there was no real punishment for a fail on a boss. Im glad BW removed exit area while in combat.

Abit of advise. Dont play street fighter, It has many combos to learn. Ill use a game, you use a cellphone.

Maybe you should read the dev tracker. All your issues have been addressed. Just not with a x-server system.

Grouping is getting sorted, BW have stated server transfers which will help the population issue, And an overhawl of the current LFG tool.

Oh yeh, th'e old "link please" cliche. Its like relying on that magic button to find a group for you. Without it, its impossible.

The main problem here is that you cant explain to someone who doesnt care about server communities why a set feature will harm that community. It been explained many times in this thread, but people still ask. blinders

When the day comes when every player is on one server. Your point stands. But at the moment it doesnt. MMOs are not just about the instances. I know some of the people cant grasp the community spirit of an MMO, I put this down to only joining MMOs recently. But as someone has pointed out. Communities can police its own community, if its stays a server based community. If someone acts an idiot in a server only community. That troll will either have to change his ways, reroll on another server or quit playing as his/her name will get around as mud and he will be blacklisted by the server. Even BW stated they wanted a server based community in TOR. so its not a myth, its not about makingf you new players work, its not about destorying your wow attitude towards MMOs, Its about been a server community. You dont need all day, You just extended your gaming time needed to get it. So if you game for 4 hours a week, and it takes 3 weeks to get what you want now. It would just take longer. Why is it you players never seem to grasp time doesnt matter in an MMO. You can play when you want for how long you want. Its just you want it easy so you have it now with no effort. And effort is not time.

If you do every quest in every area. you shouldnt have any issues with credits. The loot and credits you get from questing easily pay for training and much more.

Consoles are always a generation behind PCs, Memory, GPUs CPUs, This is the main reason games such as MMO hardly make it onto Consoles. DC was designed for the console(PS3), then ported onto the PC, This had major issues with memory leaks, lack of memory, FPS issues. To get this fixed, Alot of the game had to be cut down. Textures etc. TOR would never make it onto this current generation of consoles. Hardware, control system. It just wouldnt work.

Dissmiss then summon, its not an exploit. its the game design. yes you can revive and heal. but you can also dismiss and summon. either work. but the latter is more effecient

I got this mouse before the naga epic. Returned it straight away, its clunky, feels odd and has terrible build quality. But this is just my opinion

I have the naga epic. The best mouse for any MMO. It takes abit of getting used to. But once you know your way around the buttons you set up. There is no going back. Epic mouse!

The Ui is fine, You can customise it in anyway you want. We dont need 3rd party add-ons. Leave that in WoW, this is BWs game, so its there game we should be playing, Not mixed incarnation of 3rd party add-ons. This way, every player is on the same page. You let in one add-on, more will come, like Deadly boss mods, Stuff like that hopefully will never be allowed in TOR. Issues finding a group - Well, this is on BW, and on you. Let me guess, you picked a server that had no queues at launch. Now you are paying for it. This will get sorted in time Loading times - Well, i had issues with loading times on my old laptop. My new PC eats up the loading times, but there is still to many loading screens. BW allowed to portal to our ship from most planets. This has helped alot inm terms of loading screens. But we need less so I see your point here. Macros - I have a k90 so i have access to macros if i choose. But are they needed in TOR. not at all. We should be the player. I use my extra keys are binds, thats it. And since we have ample space in terms of quickslots. Imo, they are not needed.
