  1. Maelstrom Prison drops a light armor set that looks like the Voss Mystic one (but with a darker color scheme). One of the best looking sets or Consulars, IMO. Unfortunately, my Miraluka mask is the one with the large black & red "brow", and it clips pretty badly with the hood.
  2. Tried a green helmet with the same model and it didn't show at all, just like most helmets.
  3. Smugglers are probably the least popular of all classes. Do a search in the who window for "50 scoundrel" and do the same for gunslinger and merc and see for yourself. But even if they're less in numbers they can be more popular in WZs for example.
  4. I remember Miraluka had horrible clipping issues, so has anything changed?
  5. Going AFK is like giving a red card to your own team, of course it's worse. Quitters at least free up a spot for someone else to join. This is why a quitter penalty is a bad idea, it will only encourage people to not quit and AFK instead. Unless if it's in a premade vs pug match, then none of that matters. Since by fighting you help no one but your own opponent by feeding them medals, while wasting your own time by playing the respawn game.
  6. Login, Join WZ. See usual PuG teammates. See usual premade imps. See usual WZ score. Exit game. 0/3 daily PvP for a while now.
  7. Defense Rating (chance to dodge/parry) and Shield Rating (chance to absorb) only works against "Weapon" attacks: Charged Burst Quick Shot Flurry of Bolts Blaster Volley PvE only abilties (Cheap Shot and Headshot) You can see which is classified as Weapon or Tech in the abilities window next to the ability name. Gunslingers learn more "Weapon" attacks than Scoundrels so they rely more on Accuracy.
  8. What FPS games do you play? It's known to be shameful/poor sportsmanship to be on a "stacker" team since the days of Quake 2. Servers shuffle teams for this reason and some even have rules that ban stackers. Apparently MMO communities think otherwise.
  9. Most complex? Out of the classes I tried ('Slinger, Scoundrel, Vanguard, Sentinel), Sents had the most CDs, buttons, and procs to keep track of and manage. Hardest to play? Whatever class is the most underpowered, not the most complex.
  10. So after reading the forums, I'm dropping Armormech for Biochem on my main for many reasons. But mainly: Crafted PvP orange gear lose the set bonuses. Can't RE said PvP gear, unless by exploiting a bug(?). Armormech BoPs(Rakata belt+wrist) items are the same rating as Battlemaster but with no Expertise. All high-end PvE gear requires rare schematics and even rarer BoP mats. No reason to keep Armormech on a main instead of an alt(unless you want the two PvE BoPs). Demand for augmented gear isn't high enough on my server/faction to make a decent profit. My alts leveled up and don't need Armormech as much as they used to. Crafting augmented gear takes a lot of patience and money.
  11. I like Troopers more as a concept. BHs are presented/implemented in the game far better though. Same thing goes for Smugglers and IAs.
  12. The helmet(inspired by KotoR's Rakata) is one of the most original and creative designs I've seen so far. Kudos to the artists for their boldness in coming up with such awesomeness that fits the Star Wars universe perfectly. The Trooper and most of the Empire armor designs are very cliched and unoriginal(which is what people in this thread seem to like, unfortunately). They feel out of place as if they belong on some generic console game(okay, they're not that bad).
  13. All those blasters look very fitting for a BH, but for Smugglers I was really hoping to get the designs that were shown on the Smuggler class page: http://cdn-www.swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/classes/smuggler/images/ca4_800x450.jpg http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/classes/smuggler The yellow one is seen on Bouris Ulgo. In fact, most if not all the pistols linked in this thread are very close to what is shown on the Bounty Hunter page: http://cdn-www.swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/bountyhunter/screenshots/of4.jpg http://cdn-www.swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/bountyhunter/screenshots/of1.jpg http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/classes/bounty-hunter
  14. Actually only one of them is a stab, the other two have a unique slash animation each. Scoundrel heals are all exactly the same. BTW, I said channeled heal for Operative was a copy. I was wrong, Operatives get a unique animation for that too.
  15. Just noticed this after leveling an Operative to 23, noticing it was more fun than my 35 Scoundrel(long-inactive). So I decided to log back on the Scoundrel to see why, I wish I never did: 1. Casted-heal on self: IA gets unique animation. Scoundrel taps remote. 2. Casted-heal on others: IA gets another unique animation. Scoundrel taps remote. 3. Short cast-heal: IA gets yet another unique animation, which is one of the best looking effects/animations in the whole game(Kolto Infusion). Scoundrel taps remote. 4. Channeled heal: IA taps remote. Scoundrel copies IA animation. (remote tap animation is exactly the same with no difference whatsoever) And I thought Trooper animations were bad. This is just sad.
  16. Let's see how many communities I can kill by spamming /1 and /w before they implement an LFG tool.
  17. If your 23 Sentinel is doing that good, then it's your opponents who you should be telling to L2P. As for the OP, who was talking specifically about PvE: Send Kira first(IMPORTANT) on a mob that's farthest away from the rest of his group (rebind companion quickslot-1 to something easier). Optimal rotation, IMO: Charge>>Force Sweep>>Zealous Strike, Strike>>Blade Storm on one target and Master Strike on another. They'll be stunned most of the time. Dismiss/resummon companion if low health when done. I recommend going Focus spec if you want leveling to be easier. And yes Sentinels do feel weaker than my Vanguard, Scoundrel, and Gunslinger(who feels like godmode), in fact; I never felt my companion being stronger than I am. But Sentinel is definitely far more challenging(and also fun). Also if you're serious about it, learn ESDF. WASD is sub par for MMOs.
  18. The recipe to make the armor is a "drop" from Underworld Trading grade-1 missions. But I don't think it's feasible to try and farm it. I gave up on getting them through UT but I did find them on the GTN after a week or two later. You might find the recipe but not the armor on the GTN so search for them both. I bought mine for around 5k.
  19. So instead of quitters we will now have AFK'ers in Bots of the Old Republic. GG.
  20. Is there any real reason for a quitter penalty other than "WoW is doing it"? A penalty will fix none of OP's rage problem.
  21. Honest question for those saying Sentinel/Marauders are fine: How good can you be without being healed/guarded/babystat/carried by others? Can you ever be as good/useful as a ranged-DPS, are you really just a liability? I'm leveling a Sentinel and it's the worst I've tried in PvP at mid-levels but I want to know if it's worth it later.
  22. Keep in mind most of the Trooper animations/sounds are severely lacking compared to BH ones. Only Commandos get the cannon, though. I also hated the Trooper story.
  23. This sums it up for me. If you all want to look more like Sith, then you should follow his example and reroll to Sith, too.
