  1. I believe the main issue is the amount of Valor received due to medals, not how much fun they have. Healers take longer to gain valor levels than any other archetype.
  2. You know how I get 9-10 medals in every single Alderaan matchup? I defend a point, guard a partner, and DPS. The fact you had to type as much as you did to explain how to get only six medals should be enough proof that healers have a hard time earning them. Sure, you can work around it. But why should you have to?

    Operative Nerf

I can definitely agree up to a point. Their burst WAS too high; as an assassin tank they can burst me down to 30-40% hp before I even get up from the initial knockdown. After that, though, they usually run away once they realize they have no chance to finish me off before I kill them. So, solution? After the nerf, give them something to make up for it and balance the class. Don't just nerf all their strengths and call it good. Been a little disappointed with how Bioware has been 'nerfing' things, to be honest. It's not a good sign. Had to edit to quote you. This is how the class was intended; they're designed to kill healers.
  4. This isn't a thread about how to play Warzones; it's easy to rack up DPS/Healing/etc like that in Voidstar even when playing the objectives. Please stay on topic so the thread doesn't get convoluted.. it's about Healers having issues getting Valor because of the current system. Being a Tank, I can quite easily get top medals for a game just by playing the class how it's designed to be played; Guarding someone and DPSing on the side. Healers should be the same way.
  5. /signed, and I'm a tank who's usually topping or near the top of the medals list. Give healers some love, so they can continue yelling at me if I'm not guarding them
  6. Sorry, what? We're talking about Tanking Assassins not DPS Assassins. What does the 5% melee damage debuff have to do with Avoidance? You stated that Assassins are Avoidance Tanks and that kind of misinformation goes around more than you think so I had to clear that up.
  7. Thing is.. as a tank, you're always within 10m of your targets anyway. If not, Force Pull their asses into range and give it to them then.
  8. I'm pretty sure your experience will vary when your "Tank Sage" (Shadow) wears actual Tank armor and uses a Tank build, instead of DPS armor/builds. DPS Assassins/Shadows do not use Dark Charge (or whatever the jedi equivalent is), so they do not have the 150% armor buff.
  9. This kind of misinformation annoys me to no end. Assassins. Are. Not. Avoidance. Tanks. 1. They have just as much armor as Juggernauts including all buffs from both classes. 2. They have higher Shield Chance and Absorption than Juggernauts including all buffs. 3. They have LESS Avoidance/Defense than Juggernauts including all buffs. If anything, Juggernauts are slightly more fragile than Assassins. DO SOME RESEARCH before trying to pass your information as fact.
  10. Your friend doesn't use a Shield as a Tank spec? Do yourself a favor and never listen to his advice. For the rest, you should give the Codex a read at the top of the forum (stickied). Should answer all your questions.
  11. You'll want to use a Focus as a DPS spec; the damage loss of using a shield is not worth the base shield chance you get without Dark Charge. Same goes for wanting more Willpower as a DPS class. Unless you always enter the fight first (which you shouldn't, anyway). I've never really had any trouble with Khem Val at earlier levels. I tend to think people blame him for their poor playing ability. I use the healer companion though as I'm tank-spec myself.. but yeah, haven't had much trouble.
  12. Good for leveling though; especially helps since I'm leveling in Darkness tree. Other than that.. yeah. As soon as I hit 50 it's gone from my toolbar.
  13. They're definitely one of the strongest pvp classes right now.. give me lots of trouble too if the player is competent. I do know that the spec with the best advantage against them is by far the Madness Assassin as most of their damage potential goes through Armor, so maybe that will help.
  14. I'll say again that while I wouldn't mind another regular bar on the left or right side, we do NOT need a stealth bar. I only have 3 abilities left to learn and have spots and keybinds for them. I have spots and keybinds for PvP consumables, Grenades, both Relics, and even have spots for Stims. Why everyone else is having issues with space is completely beyond me.
  15. Being delayed by 1-2 seconds is not going to make that big of a difference. Use your Force Speed and go kick their butts. Powertechs and Assassins have Pull abilities anyway so if they aren't using them, ask them to so you can be on target right away.
  16. http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/sith_inquisitor/assassin/#::f23e2f4dfef6ef2ef4e2f5efef2 Obviously not PvE-centric but there you have it.
  17. I went with Deception for 12 points until 2/2 Induction then went full Darkness. Having Induction keeps your DPS fairly high for leveling and it only gets better once you get Energize in the Darkness tree.
  18. Think out of the box a little. The first 2 tiers of Darkness are also quite useful for full Deception builds. Since you can't put all of your points into one tree there has to be some diversity/dipping into the other trees.. no point putting them in useless talents.
  19. Yeah a few talents and abilities need their wording adjusted.. but it's pretty well known what Recklessness does.
  20. I've lately been considering speccing into Harnessed Darkness (taking the points out of Madness) as that 12% heal is pretty sexy.. the damage of course is also nice.
  21. Tanking works, it's fun as hell, and it'll piss people off when they realize they can't kill you. Our self-healing potential is higher than people expect at level 50 once you get Overcharge Saber.. it'll surprise you. The AoE taunt is also very powerful as it has no limit to the amount of players it'll affect as long as they're within 15m range of you when its cast. There was a massive faction vs faction battle on Tatooine last night on my server. My guild leader (jugg tank) was taking the brunt of the damage (most 'zerg vs zerg' pvp relies on simply attacking the closest target) and I used the AoE taunt. He got focus healed and they just couldn't bring him down.. it was really cool.
  22. I have a hunch that her paltry affection gain from gifts is a bug. I'll probably open a case about it tonight.
  23. Just make sure you use your first Electrocute before you use the 20m cooldown as it resets the Electrocute cooldown too. Utilize both Taunts you possess and make sure Khem's are turned on as well. Taunt back and forth to split the damage and put Guard on Khem to reduce some of his incoming damage unless you pull her off of him easily (reduces his threat). Use your potions and Jolt whenever you can. Use your Overload only when it's interrupting one of her abilities. Definitely the most difficult battle I've fought so far in PvE, took me a few tries but I did get it. Keep at it.
