  1. Progression still flows upwards so I don't understand the problem.
  2. Totally understand that, never indicated I didn't. You forget that the new operation is tier 2 even in story mode so no one should be trying it unless they clear tier 1 content. The OP thought the new operation would be easier than EV and KP, he was so wrong.
  3. Yea well DUH it is a tier 2 operation meaning you have to clear tier 1 content first. Just because it's story mode and more accessible that doesn't mean EVERYONE will be able to try it. Some people will never hit 50 but that doesn't mean they should get to try operations. Some people will get to 50 but never get any daily gear and so probably never be able to do story mode tier 1 ops. This is no different. You need to progress through tier 1 story mode content before you are able to do tier 2 story mode content. This is how MMO progression works.
  4. That does not say that the new OP story mode would be easier than EV and KP story modes (which is what the OP claimed he read). It says they are making story modes easier than they currently are (and EV and KP have got slightly easier in story mode). Story mode of the new operation is easier than Hard mode of the new operation. But is not, and was never said to be easier than EV and KP story modes. So basically is working as intended and as promised.
  5. You get the free 30 days if you have an ACTIVE subscription. If you still have time on your subscription then it is active. (you also need a level 50 or legacy level 6) You get the 1 day compensation if you have an active subscription. What makes you think you are not getting these? If you had run out of time on your subscription then what makes you think you deserve free time?
  6. I reckon they should have gone for legacy items that improve in some way over time or through use. Something that would make legacy items useful forever.
  7. However they worded the announcement it is obvious that the free 30 days are to prevent bored level 50s from leaving, or alternatively reward the bored level 50s who didn't quit when they first got bored. Anyone not 50 yet was not short on content as they were obviously getting their fill and enjoying themselves. While I have a 50 I was not one of the bored ones yet I could read and see the outcry from the other 50s about the lack of content and endgame as they perceived it. I think that has more to do with the free 30 days for 50s only than it has to do with anything else.
  8. Such as myself. I have 8 republic toons (one for each advanced class) and no interest in playing any imperial characters.
  9. Wait... how was it wrong? If it's not ready then it's the RIGHT thing to do by removing it from 1.2.
  10. You are paying for the ability to access and play their game on their servers. You are paying for the time that has gone into creating the game and also for it's continued development. You are not paying for specific patches at specific times. Some people might think they are but they are kidding themselves as Bioware are not obligated to meet the demands of imaginary contracts.
  11. Lol, just lol. Play, don't play. It doesn't matter. There are enough of us that don't expect perfection at every junction and are quite happily enjoying the game as it is while still looking forward to all the upcoming features whenever they each arrive.
  12. Lol. As above, both already doable/done. Did you play with the custom UI before making suggestions?
  13. Liars! I know for a fact that they got one from me back when my first toon hit 50. And from half my guild too. Maybe you just worded it in a way they understood. Considering the fact that I write my bug reports from a gamer perspective and they obviously don't play their own game lol.
  14. When Rift began to allow server transfers they only had specific servers available to transfer to for a specified period of time. I thought that was a good idea and prevented people going willy-nilly all over the place.
  15. Good. This was my concern. I rarely (if ever) use medpacks in endgame but I use them all the time while leveling toons.
  16. Poll is lacking. I do both depending on class/role/situation. There is no option for this in the poll so I abstained.
  17. My only problem with the travelling is that it is mostly taken up with load screens. I don't mind travelling across tatooine on my speeder, I like the big open planets. But going through half a dozen load screens to get from one planet to another wears me out quickly. It's boring, I am not in control, I cannot pause it and divert if I see something interesting (especially since it is simply the same load screen every time). I don't know how you would counter it for SWTOR considering your usual MMO is medieval fantasy and you dont travel from planet to planet. Whereas you cant just walk from coruscant to tython without loading up a ship in some way.
  18. As the thread title says this is a suggestion on how BioWare could potentially handle combat logs: Currently there is no way to definitively tell if anyone in the group is under-performing in an operation or flashpoint. In my guild we want to help our weaker players develop their skills and improve but it is hard to identify who is struggling and in what specific areas of their role in the group. As far as I am aware the only reason BioWare are against combat logs is because it can encourage elitism and players being removed from groups when they under-perform. There may be other reasons for this but without knowing them I have a suggestion. SUGGESTION: Take the warzone scoreboard and use a similar scoreboard at the end of operations and flashpoints. By only showing the information at the end of the instance you minimise or remove the chance of someone being removed in the middle of an op or fp. But by showing the whole teams stats at the end then guilds like mine can identify players we need to work closer with to help them improve their rotations and methods etc. I think this is a better solution than the current system and the upcoming individual out-of-game log (in patch 1.2).
  19. As the thread title says this is a suggestion on how BioWare could potentially handle reloading ops/fps after a wipe: Currently if you die in an operation or flashpoint and not revived by your party then you are revived outside the op/fp which means you have to load up the fleet (or wherever you access the op/fp) and then run into and reload the op/fp again. This is a ridiculous waste of time. As far as I am aware the only reason this happens is so that players dont just keep respawning and rejoining combat whilst the rest of the party is in combat. There may be other reasons for this but without knowing them I have a suggestion. SUGGESTION: Revive dead players at the beginning of the op/fp but INSIDE the op/fp so they do not have to reload 2 zones back-to-back. To prevent players simply re-entering combat repeatedly just place a barrier similar to the warzone barriers (think spawning area in huttball and voidstar) but have this barrier block the path when the party is in combat, and remove the barrier when the party is out of combat. I think this is a better solution that loading players outside the zone.
  20. Personally I am a very casual raider so elitist attitudes would not help me get into the occasional operation. But I run with my guild anyway. However, I would LOVE to see a scoreboard type window at the end of each operation. Just like the Warzone stats board but with information relevant to the operations. I love seeing stats and if it was at the end of an operation then no one would be kicked mid-op due to low stats (you just wouldn't take them along the next time lol). Unrelated I also wish that when you wiped in a flashpoint or op it didnt load you OUTSIDE the op/fp meaning you have to reload it to get back in. If they want to prevent players rejoining combat after they die then they only need to add a barrier near the beginning of the op/fp similar to the one in warzones, simply make the barrier be blocking the path when the party is in combat and make the barrier drop when your party is out of combat.
  21. Yea thats an OOOOLLLDDDD screenshot.
  22. Even saying that would have been better than the reverse interrogation you gave her.
  23. I read up to halfway through the quote from bioware saying: "We do realize it is useful to figure out what is being done wrong. But we don't want to people to be able to go out and judge you." This is so stupid because competitive anything requires judging, if you want to be the first at something or the best at something then you need to take the best and reject the worst to help you get there. I am sick of the entire world starting to think that it is bad to 'lose' and then going out of their way to make sure everyone has a happy little time. No losers = no winners, it does not mean everyone is a winner, its means everything is boring because competition and judgement drive adventure and excitement. And I'm not even a Hardcore raider, I am casual at best.
  24. I think you are the one being difficult, you could have just answered the question, which from your responses I assume was no. eg. Them: Are you going to pick your AC? You: No, <brief reason like can't decide yet>, but I have done this before and know we will be fine. Then if they removed you from group they would be the bad person. From what I read you were provoking the response you got by not answering the question directly.
