  1. Are you trolling? If so, you're doing a good job with the tone, sweeping (wrong) generalizations, and even a "go back to WoW." Well done, I suppose.
  2. Saying you're in favor of addons does not mean you support any and all addons, including dumb ones from the past in another game.
  3. One group gets credit, and in my operations it is always, without exception, the group that tags the mob first. If you do EV and HH with the same group (as an 8 man), then it's easy to coordinate so everyone gets credit.
  4. We have a grapple (although not electric). We have a wrist mounted laser gun (Rail Shot).
  5. ^ that sims main tanking a boss. For me, I run CP for the versatility (do more damage when not tanking and in CGC), pvp (burst, ranged dot), and character laughing when RS reset procs. If you'll always be tanking, then the standard build is probably better.
  6. Just wanted to say thanks for doing this. I'm enjoying Parakeet for most content, but I'm the OT and frequently run CGC for dps. That, and my character laughing every time RS reset procs. I'm not programmer, but I've always enjoyed theorycrafters and follow their work. +1
  7. Your "proof" is your unsupported statements. You then compound your error by attributing a lack of skill to others.
  8. Nothing that's been said here in any way supports the bolded proposition.
  9. To the relic thing, I have like 12 epic ones that do not require any alignment. Make the Matrix Cube one and do a week of EV/pvp and you'll probably be swimming in them.
  10. Very fun place. The infinite copy boss bug is very annoying, but can be worked around with a good group. Overall a great flashpoint.
  11. If they have TM they're not a healer. So, no, nobody is saying that.
  12. Turn on enemy health bars and when they're casting a heal there will be a small cast bar underneath. When it's green, it's a heal. You have (think you're PT, could be wrong) Quell, ranged stun, grapple, carbonize as interrupts. Jet Charge if you're spec'd for it. LOS. Mako's stun (use manually).
  13. Threat for me has been fine. Tanked everything through EV/KP, hardmode FPs, and some HM EV. Trash makes you work, to be sure, but PTs have a ton of ranged tools. I think Juggs should be the ones complaining about trash over PTs. The loss of control on every trash pack is irritating, sure, but hardly game breaking. If you don't like tanking, then go dps. But it's not bad or hard with a PT.
  14. This is a very good post. Also, when AOE tanking, carbonize.
  15. I have the complete opposite opinion in almost every way. PT threat has been much better than an equally geared Jugg. I think tank threat is just not that high. Heat Blast is not sexy, but it is a very good talent. I don't get the hate for it. You'll get a lot of threat by using it on CD, not necessarily from HB but from the ability to use less Rapid Shots. Our defensive CDs suck. Energy Shield is nice, but Kolto Overload is bad. 3k healing over 10 seconds? Every 2 mins? Survivability is good due to mitigation/etc... but the CDs are meh. AOE, I use FB as initial aggro and debuff only, really. Usually some combo of Carbonize, FT, ED, RP, HB, tabbing, etc... Shoulder Slam is... eh. Toss a Explosive Dart/SS combo on a normal mob. But all classes have a similar move, iirc.
  16. As others have stated, you can bring others to help if you'd like. I went with my Jugg friend's end class quest. He went on Number One With a Bullet. Just to see it.
  17. MUCH MUCH more? Or small difference more. If you Google threads on this, you'll see that it's 1) speculated because we really only know what tooltips say (and not if there are fractions unrepresented, hidden mechanics, etc...) 2) the difference is really small if there is one 3) I have not seen anyone calculate the difference in regen through a rotation to see if there is a real difference. Not to mention that many (most?) builds have proc based regen to account for. That all suggests that blowing out the shift key is probably unwarranted. Also, lol at you if you have problems dealing with heat/ammo. It's very easy to manage. http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-Bounty-Hunter-Trooper-Simple-Questions-and-Answers?page=3
  18. Lol Kolto Overload. It's a crappy CD. 3k HP over 10 secs every 2 mins (talented)? Damage reduction CDs are far, far superior. Yes, PT's have Energy Shield, but SW CDs are much, much better. BH/Trooper have better quality of life for many things. Having 30m range helps a lot in a game where adds stream/parachute in and stay ranged. In PVP I think BH is very strong because they can get a hybrid build (shielding sucks in PVP, so you've just saved 10 points in ST tree) and do pretty good damage while offering tank utility. My guildy has a SW tank, and his threat is abysmal compared to mine. He has a decade tanking experience, but the class is just threat capped. He works harder for threat in AOE/range situations. But that's mostly trash; challenging content is mostly single target, and in that he's fine (except low threat). Still, I'd kill for his CDs.
  19. Yup. Resource management is not hard, but it's one more thing to learn as a newbie.
  20. Happened to my group. First it was me (BH). Then the Merc. Then our Sorcerer was getting it. We pulled him down the stairs and finished it that way. Really annoying since the patch notes mentioned fixing it. The patch notes have turned into things I know will be wrong after the patch.
  21. You've cleared Hard and Nightmare Ops? Congratulations! Didn't realize we had an expert in here.
  22. Heat is the same as energy, only reversed. Not hard to manage at all.
  23. It should be used on CD unless you're at < 15 heat. Do not save it.
  24. Heat dump allows you to use other heat generating moves and, thus, more threat. It would be a nice OT talent. However, if you skip it without getting something else to increase your damage output (like a 21/2/18 build), you'll have threat issues.
