  1. And here I was hoping for an update on the SGRAs. Silly me
  2. Normally I play Imperial, so overall no real complaints. However, if/when I play my Knight, I find it quite irritating that I can only get Jedi Guardian style armour on Scourge (aside from adaptive armour). Even with adaptive armour, nothing makes him look like the Sith he is, so it's a bit of a deterrent to having him out at all from an immersion perspective. My suggestion is to allow (in this example, though it could equate to other classes/companions/scenarios through other crew skills) an Imperial synthweaver to craft moddable gear, and have it retain that appearance if you send it/sell it to Republic side characters. I'm sure I'm not the only one that finds it frustrating to send an awesome-looking piece of crafted gear from one faction to the other and find that it looks like the back end of a Hutt.
  3. You, sir, deserve the ownership rights to the entire internet.
  4. It's okay, I was too, and still haven't played an Agent past about 26. Too damn dry. Yet I have 2 Inquisitors (DPS sorc, tank assassin), 2 warriors (dps juggy and marauder), and a powertech tank at 50. Plus 3 more juggernauts coming along (1 on hold until the SGRAs are implemented). I HATE trying to play the agent -_-
  5. I used to be an idealist as well.... then I took an arrow in the knee... *activate all available defensive cooldowns*
  6. At this point, I'm on the verge of starting a thread demanding some info, reposting it once they close the first, and reposting it again once they close the second if need be. This lack of info is getting to be quite ridiculous. Prior to coming back to this thread, I was willing to defend BioWare as much as reasonably possible. The mood and attitude of the posters in here, coupled with the lack of any information from anyone in-the-know (and has been posted, there have to have been people in-the-know even by the pre-launch point in development), has put me in a position of being just as willing to criticize as the rest of the people posting here regularly. Even after F2P goes live, I intend to continue my subscription. Why? Because I hate some the F2P restrictions quite frankly, but more importantly because I love this game. I anxiously awaited this game for 3 years, didn't even care about Christmas last year because this game's launch day may as well have been my Christmas (thank you, BioWare <3), and to this day I continue to defend it against haters and doubters, and continue to enjoy this game almost as much as I was on day 1. I doubt I'm the only person in this game's player base that feels this way. So why are loyal gamers and subscribers like us still being left in the dark on such a highly demanded aspect of the game, one that's been included in past BW games and will likely make it into future ones at launch? Many of us are sick of waiting, and your silence isn't helping defend you from any possible perspective, BioWare. Might not be a bad idea to let us know something significant to this topic before you cause irreparable damage to your reputation as one of the best game developers out there. At least in the eyes of the LGBT community, plus any additional gamers that would advocate for them.
  7. Exactly. Yet even then, companion romance in a BioWare game has pretty much become mandatory, since it's been available in any of their games I've played (which only extends to KotOR, DA:O, DA2, and some of ME1 - just can't get into it).
  8. Perhaps. I feel like the people who have stuck with TOR the whole way through, despite all the hating, doom-and-gloomers, impatient quitters, and entitled ranters (ironic that this post is turning me into one), deserve at least some snippet of information more than what we've gotten on this topic. Considering it relates to story in a manner, and devs have even said it should have made launch, I'd say it's a rather large component of the game that's not in yet. No reason why we shouldn't have gotten more info by now.
  9. This is certainly unfortunate You'd think we'd have heard something other than "it's coming" by now.
  10. Excellently worded, and sums up exactly what I have been thinking for a couple of months
  11. Aye, Vette is correct. Female Twi'lek Juggy. As a Star Wars fan, I feel obligated to live out this fantasy of lesbian Twi'leks. My concern isn't in how far I've gotten. Just in the thought that if they somehow don't apply the SGRA availability to existing characters, this toon is getting shafted simply by already existing. In this case, I'd complain to BioWare to get my Blackhole comms back on the re-made toon. And yes, I would legitimately expect them to compensate that specific toon.
  12. My SI hasn't even been started yet because of the lack of info. She's created, but not played. My Juggernaut, however, has been played up to level 17 so far, but has been sitting at the path to the Dark Temple for a few months because I don't want to waste my time on the thought of having to re-roll. I'm hoping it will be retroactive because that Juggy is one of the toons that got 20 black hole comms as part of the "I made a toon on an origin server" bonus from BioWare.
  13. How? Some companions basically already are open to both, we just can't pursue the SGR with them. Like jaesa and Kaliyo being the 2 immediate ones that come to mind. Quin probably isn't far off.
  14. Really, no notable update? Holy hell... Can we at least know if SGRAs will be made retroactively available to existing toons that have not engaged in a romance with any crew members so that we can still play them? I don't want to play through 2 of my characters that I have plans to put through an SGRA only to find out in an announcement "sorry, but you have to re-roll to experience this". I asked this for the weekly Q&A that ended back in the end of July, and we've heard squat about that Q&A since, yet we got a Q&A afterwards about Free-to-play that also still isn't out. So please, enlighten us. Personally, I don't care about when the SGRAs are coming. I just need to know if the SGRAs will at least be retroactively available so I can play my female Sorcerer now and romance Ashara later without worrying about if I've wasted my time leveling to find I have to re-roll to experience this possibility. I don't think that's unreasonable. Do you?
  15. If/when same-gender romance arcs (SGRAs) are made possible, will they be implemented retroactively? For example, will my female Operative be able to romance Kaliyo after the implementation (assuming I've not romanced anyone else), or would I have to roll out a new Agent in order to experience this?
  16. Are there plans to allow for players to select animations for abilities (perhaps through Legacy unlocks)? For example, being able to take my Marauder and use the Jedi Sentinel's animation for Master Strike, rather than that of the Marauder's Ravage. Even something non-combat related, such as tying a social emote to the recovery ability. I know some guild members of mine have mentioned a dislike for some of the recovery animations and would prefer one closer to that of their respective class trainers.
  17. I pretty much agree with this. Having played enough of both the JK and SW to compare many of their animations, I have to say that I'd love to see the ability to change animations with those of your mirror class (ideally just selectively, not all or nothing). As somewhat of a limitation, it should be required that the mirror class also be leveled to a certain point (either to the level in which you acquire the ability, or perhaps level 50 of the mirror class, as with the species unlock).
  18. I don't recall hearing any players in WoW complain about this point.
  19. Talk about impatient. I've waited for this game since day 1 when it was announced. It's here finally, and I frankly see no issue with it. To expect that there wouldn't be any queues at launch was a failed assumption on your part. Go rethink your argument, do some research on facts (including the DevTracker), and come back to us when you have something valid.
  20. Off topic, but I agree. Neither party is ever "always right". Customers are like many women are... even when they're wrong, they'll argue to no end because they think they're right. If the customer was always right, countless businesses could/would go bankrupt within days.
  21. Those people have probably been waiting for anywhere between 1 year and 3 for this game; I'm sure they can wait a couple days extra. It won't kill them.
