I know the hypocrisy is staggering. :D

I mean, dude probably has more internet "friends" than all of us combined truth be told. There's no way he was that active in the ranked scene doing what he was doing without him being very social with other gamers and I find it hard to believe all of them were pals he knew IRL before he started SWTOR.

Would be funny if you would see my laptop. When you turn it on, the only thing that i installed is swtor. I do not have time to play or desire to play any other game. I only bought my laptop for this.

As for friends (yeah like I need to detail my life on the internet) I have few, but thats due to my frequent traveling and living in other countries. That way you didnt have a chance to actually build relationships as when you move away, you can be in touch, but people soon move on in their life and forget about you. My family is all I need as they require A LOT of time. I have childhood friends and since I am back in my home country ( for a year now) i have been trying to meet with them :D but no time.

The way I see it is if someone would steal your stuff in the game they'd probably steal from you IRL, too. There's no reason to believe such a person only lacks ethics and morals when it comes to how they behave in a virtual reality world of anonymity. I'd guess if they a scumbag in the game, they probably a scumbag out of the game, too.

Anyway, Mero has had this attitude for years this is nothing new. I just ignore this part of him, and hold belief that he will find wisdom as he ages. Unfortunately, I worry this could be more of a matter of having a conscience or not, and that's something you can't find.

Yes, that is indeed a good way of looking at things. People tend to behave here as they would in RL. However, there is still one thing where you have to realize that some people are actually able to distinquish between RL and the fact this game is not real. Which means, here you can let your fantasy run wild as you can do things you wouldnt be able to do in RL (without getting into trouble). If you scam some guy while trading him credits or rob the guild bank its fine as long as you know its fictional stuff. The problem is with the people that really arent aware of this fact.

I see this as a game, work of art and fiction. I realize that those achievements I collect can be all added by an admin in a matter of seconds. The same goes for credits, ranked rewards etc. I realize this, but do others? I wouldnt be so sure......

heh, well when I say kid, I mean a kid mentaly, not necessarily physically ;)

I dont think I will ever understand people like you Snave. What brings a person to stream a computer game (or anything else for that matter) regularly, put on a web cam of himself and talk to people who arent really in the room? By no means I wanna criticize we are all.... as we are so, please keep it up, what ever it is you are doing, mainly if you have fun with it. I will just never understand it.

I really must be old fashioned or something that I dont wanna spread my person over the internet. For me a game is something which I play on my pc and enjoy it. I do not feel the need to share this with unknown people over the internet. Its weird, confusing and maybe even sad cause it must have some background, why people do this. So anyway, have fun!

I'll never understand why people wintrade, juke the queue, cheat for achievements and then post on the forums acting like they didn't do it. I guess we're very different people.

You have a tinder profile that links your swtor achievements, I can't even imagine being that socially inept. In fact, that's probably the difference. I enjoy socialising, meeting new people and discussing ideas. You like pretending you achieved in game activities and then pretending you didn't manipulate the game to get them. Different strokes for different folks.

You're clearly on many spectrums, that's almost certainly why you don't understand the social interaction aspect.

I said it before and ill say it again, I didnt use the wintrading or backfilling method. I wouldnt have even gotten the top 3 if that sent from SF would have played the game. You dont need to cheat to get achievements (I found out the hard way).

Wut??? Where?

I'd like to elaborate more on this topic I find it fascinating tbh. I am going to PM you Mero, just because I think most people here would be happy if we stopped going on about this stuff but I think it's important.

That’s the difference between people with extrovert personalities and introvert personalities. We are all different.

I really enjoyed this personality test I think Lhance linked to another thread a few weeks ago. It might be a fun experiment if we all took it and posted the results. It might help us understand each other’s personalities a bit more.

I think that if you are around 50% with most traits then you might be a complicated personality xD

What’s the actual code classification so I can have a read. Ie mines “The Protagonist” (ENFJ-T).

A link would be even better. :D

15% Extroverted

75% introverted

70% Intuitive

30% Observant

22% Thinking

78% Feeling

60% Judging

First, mine was INFJ - A. (Advocate)

Then, I took it again, and now it's INTJ - A (Architect)

I'm guessing that's because both times the Feeling/Thinking was at around 48%. I guess I'm never sure whether to think or feel, lol. (Right now I'm doing both, I think. Or, maybe I'm not. Who knows?!)

Yeah, to get a really accurate pinpoint on your exact personality type it would just require more questions and time to sort out the nuances in your personality. I have done this site's questionnaire a few times and always get advocate as one though, so I am most likely that one.

I’ve done it a few times and on days when I’ve felt good or bad and it’s always he same. It’s kind of spooky because I’ve even made a couple of changes to some answers. I guess the underlying ones must over rule some of them.

I think if you pay to go further you get a more accurate assessment and insights.

This post turned into personality test  madness at its best.

Lets return it back to normality.

Please report Junkie (Enforcer) and MakemeWonder for legit wintrading. If you are in Junkie's team he will tell you to hop on his stream so that you will know what needs to be done. BW remove ELO of these people not only for S12, but all previous seasons. These are legit Wintraders who have been ruining the game for us who play solo.

Also Junkie is clicking and doing 18k dps can you please send the police to check his mouse, something is wrong. :D

Normally I would be up for it, but now, look at the matches...... I have been playing ranked now since im going for the renown achievements on all classes (for that i do all weekly stuff etc and also ranked). What I have witnessed in every match is that there was at least 1, 2, 3 players with top3 flairs. This means that either I am very lucky to get this or the ranked population has schrinked so much that its even fewer people playing.

So if they are wintrading (which I am sure they are) they will basically be the top 3 of like 30 people! These titles are hitting the all time low. Since Mike B. introduced the changes to ranked (which I am in favor of) for min wins required it caused one of the problems I have mentioned way back. This system favors the players that play the most as they eventually reach the 200 wins and will be eligible for a top3 title. Even if you have 1350 rating, you can be eligible for a top3 as others might have higher elo, but not the 200 wins, if they get 200 wins their rating might be lower than the 1350. So its what I feared would happen.... a big mess :)

As is common on these forums, you've looked at the evidence and come to the wrong conclusion.

In previous seasons, the top 3 players almost never played. They played the minimum number of games to get to their top spot, and then never played again (whether legit or wintraded). In the last two seasons, it was extremely rare for me to see someone with a top 3 title in any of my ranked games on SF.

Now, I see top 3s all the time. Last night I had a game with two top 3s on my team, and another game where I faced off against 3 top 3s. That's unheard of. And do you know why that is happening now? It's not because the population has shrunk, it's because those players now have to actually play the game consistently to get rewards. And as a result, the quality of the ranked games is much, much higher than it has been the last two seasons.

As for the ratings you mentioned, if you look at the leaderboards, the ratings are much lower than the last two seasons. That's mainly because they lessened the impact of placement matches, and because people have to keep playing to get rewards. Plenty of people got lucky to about 1400 in their first 20-30 games. But then when they keep playing, they come back to earth.

Furthermore, the more you play the harder it is to climb, because you lose more elo when you lose than you gain when you win. So if there are people sitting at 1450 with 30 wins, and people at 1350 with 230 wins, of course the person with 230 wins deserves the title, because the person with 30 wins was simply lucky to get that high in the first place (or wintraded of course, much less likely now than it was before).

This system is working out very well so far. The biggest problem in ranked right now is just the stealth meta which can be very annoying to play against all the time.

Like I said, I am glad it works and the top3 ppl do play cause they need those 200 wins, yes. Yet I still think that in order to keep this up we need to have more people with 200 wins in order to make sure that it really stays this way.

ATM we have 13 players who are top3. Once we have 48 then we might have the same situation as before. So people just need to keep playing too :)
