How could Bioware not know? They are owned by EA...

EA own Bio the same way as Volkswagen own Porsch. They share some services/infrastructure and platforms, as well as having oversight from upper management. But the people at the mid management lvl will rarely communicate with each other. So unless someone at EA thinks to inform Bioware, then Bioware won't know what's happening.

There is a DDoS being conducted by some children calling themselves PoodleCorp. They are targeting Blizzard's Warcraft Expansion launch and also EA's Battlefield 1 Beta.

Swtor has just been caught in the crossfire because Battlefield is probably located in the same EA server farm. The Bioware guys probably don't even realise this is going on because their servers aren't actually being attacked.

I know it's no excuse, they really should be monitoring what is going on, but it's possible that EA look after that side of things and they haven't communicated the issues with Bioware.

i just got done playing the battlefield 1 beta and had absolutely no issues. i played for about 2 hours.

So i got response from CS

N0-B0 has informed me that you are experiencing crashes and severe server lag.

After reviewing this case I have investigated our sever stability throughout the day and I have been able to see some flooding to our servers which would indeed cause these server issues. The development team have been working hard to get this fixed and all this traffic has now been migrated as such the server stability should now be corrected, please try and play again.

I can play on Red Eclipse now and after about 30 min of the most recent crashes

Hey folks,

I can confirm that there was an EA Service issue last night which impacted SWTOR. At this time all of these issues have been resolved and you should be able to properly connect to all servers.

I do apologize that this was not communicated sooner. Again, all issues should now be resolved.

Thanks everyone.

Definitely not the case on The Red Eclipse, I've been fine all morning and now it's all over the place. :(

3:28pm UK time.

The Red Eclipse.

Ping varies between: 41ms (my usual is 40-100ms) and 13,700ms.

Ping varies wildly between "4 bars" and a Red X, and constantly, never being stable for more than 5-10 seconds.

if you genuinely think your server issues are resolved, I respectfully suggest you need either new technicians, or new server hosts.

Hey folks!

We are still ironing out some issues regarding the connectivity to our European data center, so any servers hosted in that data center will continue to see latency issues.

The team is hard at work on resolving this, and I will update you as I have more information!

Just a suggestion: Tell Telia to get their **** together. EVERYTIME stuff like that happens on the european server it's their network that's causing lags and package loss

Or simply get a new Servercentre in some other place, where you don't have to use their crappy network. Like Frankfurt. ;)

PS: Still Lags like hell on Vanjervalis Chain. Haven't been DC'ed yet, but my normally 50ms ping is now somewhere around 100 spiking to 8k+ every 10 seconds.

Hey everyone,

In order to address the ongoing connectivity issues with the European datacenter we need to make a change, and all services that utilize this connection will be temporarily impacted.

At 11AM CDT (5PM BST), there will be a short window (about 10 minutes) of high packet loss and possible connection loss if you're currently connected to a European server. Once the window is over, the connection issues should be resolved, and we will continue to monitor the situation.

Thank you for your patience!

-Tait
