Purple Color Crystals!

Why are some colors made much rarer than others? Why not make all "standard" color crystals available to the same extent. Then maybe colors like white and other weird ones could be more rare.

forgive me if this has been said before but....you do realize it's possible for Pubs to get purple crystals, right? of course, it depends on if you bought the right items in the Chevin event.

 

1. take your lvl 50 Imp toon through BoI HM

2. if the offhand drop is for BHs or SW, need on it (no matter what your class is) as long as it's ok with the rest of your party.

3. if you win the roll, take the token and buy the Marauder/Mercenary offhand (it has to be mara or merc because those are the ones with the purple crystals in them, tank offhands have yellow crystals)

4. strip out the purple crystal and stick it in your bound to legacy crossbow you bought from the Chevin event.

5. send the crossbow to your republic toon of choice

6. strip out the crystal from the crossbow and stick it in your Pub's weapon

7. run around showing off your new pretty saber/blaster bolts.

 

and if you want a cyan crystal on your Imp, then do the same thing, only reverse factions. course, if you didn't take part in the Chevin event, or did but didn't buy a crossbow, then you're sunk.

I'm assuming BoI HM is Battle of Ilum hard mode?

Yes, battle of ilum. Columi Main Hand drops from Lost Island Hard Mode can do the same thing. This is most of the reason I leveled an imperial to 50 and spend some credits on gearing him properly.
