FlavivsAetivs Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) The problem with Rogue One is that unlike the Rogue Squadron we all think of, know, and love, this has nothing to do with X-Wings and Starfighters. The fact of the matter is that Rogue One, as many people have stated, is more reminiscent of Halo in the action sequences, costumes, etc. So I sincerely doubt it will inspire any new GSF or Starfighter material. Rogue squadron is one of the names applied to the X-wing squadron Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker were in. There are a bunch of expanded universe books about it that were a tie-in for the X-Wing, TIE-fighter, X v Tie, and X-Wing Alliance series of computer games in the 1990s. There may have also been console games that mentioned it, but I don't really pay attention to console games. Rogue one is an upcoming Star Wars movie that is planned.
