  1. Well, its pretty much the same questions as before. What are you flying? What components do you use? Did you do the tutorial? Are you picking up the daily/weekly? In regards to gear, yes there are key components when unlocked boost your performance quite a bit, however as I believe most people below me will start posting, having the best gear doesn't mean anything if you don't have the skill to land your shots or out fly your opponent, and skill gained through time and flying. Oh and deaths. Lots of fiery, explosive, embarassing, keyboard hammering deaths.
  2. What are you currently flying and what components are you using? Have you done the tutorial and gotten the first quest to get the 5k fleet req? If you're saying that you're losing a fight to a stationary turret while also reading guides then there is a huge step that you missed somewhere lol.
  3. Most confusing match I've had was a come from behind win as well. Backfilled into a 600- 30 denon and team had finally managed to flip C, thought it was over so I might as well jump on my gunship and try to farm the accuracy achieve, maybe try and eek out a demolisher if I was lucky. Next thing I know we flipped all three and ended up 1000-900 win. It wasn't an intense match, nor did either side boast a pilot who was capable of causing such a massive shift in their favour. It was almost like the other team just lost interest and everyone meandered off to do their own thing. End chat consisted of 10% jubilation, 10% relief and 80% mass bewilderment.
  4. Does everyone want to romance Senya just so you can tell Arcann and Vaylinn 'I banged your mom?'
  5. Some human schlub sitting in front of a computer on a forum discussing what he would be in some CRAZY universe that still relied on fossil fuels sources, projectile based weaponry and no hyperspace capabilities.
  6. Xwing Series probably my favourite star wars book series
  7. Judging from last video probably have refs as gunships, then u can just snipe people who are interfering.
  8. TBH, I rarely see much toxicity in chat. Granted sometimes I'll get frustrated when I feel that the team isn't performing like they should and we lose a game that we should have won, but other than venting a bit on GSF I let the matter drop. In fact there's rarely any chat during ops when its a push over, maybe one or two people will tell the others to take it easy but nobody talking **** about the team on the other side. The times when chat is the most active is when they are close games and people are calling for help or to assault particular objectives.
  9. I love this thread. Its like watching an American political debate on TV, but about a subject I care about!
  10. Purple sword is lvl 46, green is 61. Simple.
  11. I just completed it, you can pick it up with the Daily heroics console.
  12. If we were to go back to 5 companions only for each character, who would you want on your team and why? Pick from all class companions and currently available KOTFE companions. Imperial Agent (Neutral Alignment): Kaliyo: Every team needs one psycho, plus I married her. Pierce:Together with Kalyio as the muscle/brute force of my team Lokin: My smart guy, ex-Intelligence with a wealth of knowledge and shadowy contacts Temple: My perky plucky protege! Quinn: Got the balls to kill/try to kill people who he thinks are incompetent or bad for the empire. Probably make him my 2nd in command. So what, he tries to off a Sith? I did that multiple times. They're nothing but busy bodies strutting around sticking their noses in someone else's business and making life harder for those who are doing the real work around the empire! Pretty much a pure Imperial Intel/Military team.
  13. While I don't agree with Koth I don't fault him for his view point. He doesn't know who the Sith Emperor is, he only knows Valkorian, who completely elevated his home planet from a back water into a power house. As far as Koth's concerned, Valkorian is a pretty stand up bloke. Those millions killed on Ziost? He only has evidence saying the Sith Emperor did it and this information is coming from the pitiful remnants of a conquered galaxy pointing fingers and screaming 'they're the same guy!' We know its true because we played 4 years of content to get here, but he doesn't, so of course he'd be skeptical. Same as Senya. Remember, during Valkorians rule the Eternal fleet only made raids against the Republic and Empire, it was only until Valkorian 'dies', Arcann starts a full scale curb stomp and starts massacring innocents that Koth decides 'Fuk this bollocks, this isn't what I joined up for!' and jumps ship to help us out instead. So well done Koth. I'll still tell you to piss off and die on my Warrior and Inquisitor, but that's me keeping in character. On to Kaliyo, my agent romanced her. I liked that my agent was able to focus her into becoming more than a low level psycho gun for hire. Every time she pulled something behind his back, he pretty much strong arms her into changing her ways. Hell, the LS option in KOTFE, when you tell her she's better than a mass murderer and she decides not to go through with bombing civilians, is pretty awesome in my book.
  14. Not a strike buff but specifically an emp missile buff. Ships hit by emp missiles aren't able to use secondary weapons for period of time (15 sec is what the current timer for shield/engine abilities). Or ship is completely disabled so no maneuvering, no shooting, no abilities, no boosting (maybe?) for 6-8 seconds. Basically sab probe, emp missile and rolled into one.
  15. Here are screenshots of the results my very first matches of GSF back early 2014. I stopped playing this character at lvl 55 and started playing imp side instead since I decided to main the Imperial Agent. http://imgur.com/qa2U5Q8 http://imgur.com/lWGBlUT Very similar numbers to what you are currently putting out. Here is a post that I made on GSF forums as a result of these matches (post #37). Like yourself, I wasn't happy about how I was thrown into the deep end of the pool and left to fend for myself right from the get go. I swore I would never fly again. 4 months later I bought a new laptop and decided to give it another shot and I decided that I would try to find a guild to fly with. Thankfully Eclipse Squadron took me in and I was able to constantly group up and subsequently receive constant, on hand advice and encouragement from everyone. It still took me 30-40 matches before I actively felt like I was contributing to a match, however each time I did fly, my numbers would improve. Accuracy would go up 2 or 3%, I'd start hitting 10k damage every match, then 15k, then I would get lucky and hit 20k. My assists would go up while deaths went down, maybe even land an extra killing blow. I was still under performing, but I was starting to get a feel for the game The more I flew, the more I got out of it, the more rewarding it felt to hit those skill plateaus that told me that I was improving as a pilot. It took almost 500 matches to finally reach the point where I was confident enough in my own skill and experience to make calls in an average match to ensure we win while also being able to out fly the majority of the competition. I guess the reason for this long post is that most of us here know what it's like for rookies trying to fly for the first time. We've all been there at one point, we all know what a crap job was done in regards to the tutorial and starting ships. Nobody is expecting you to become even a decent pilot in your first few dozen matches. All we ask is that you stick to it, find as much help in game as you possibly can and hopefully one day the game will suddenly click for you and you come to enjoy this great experience as we have.
  16. Continuous shooting is not penalized, the chance to hit penalty occurs when you shoot at a target off centre. The further away the larger the penalty. So if you are chasing someone you need to keep them in range and centered in the middle of your screen for maximum hit chance
