Jerba Posted June 16, 2015 Share Posted June 16, 2015 Yes, it is a new story expansion, larger than anything we've had so far. 9 chapters come out in Octobter, the others will arrive in early 2016 with one new chapter every month. Outlander is a title galaxy will refer to you, like Inquisitor, Warden, Commander Sheppard, etc in other recent BioWare games. And several years pass between the "start" of the expansion, where you get frozen in carbonite, and the "actual start", when you get unfrozen. During that time, The Eternal Throne basically conquered the Galaxy, so you companions are presumably in hiding in various places, and you need to get them back. Some people got into their heads that they will be removed and all players will play for the same faction, but it has never been even suggested. Story-wise, both factions were heavily decimated during the years our heroes were frozen, so nobody can mount any serious resistance against the Eternal Throne.
