TUXs
uh.....what's NGE? Read this if you'd like...
hadoken
I made this exact comment to a friend yesterday. I think the only people pretending it's even comparable to the NGE, have only ever read about the NGE...because this is NOTHING like the change NGE brought. If it was compared to the CU, they'd have a point...but the NGE?! Not even close. Even comparing it to the CU is a stretch, as they changed the system from a skill based to a level based system. They're not doing anything of the sort with Disciplines - it's always been a level based system.
tmblake
Exactly. This is not even comparable in any way to NGE. For it to be comparable, Bioware would need to change the entire combat system from how it is now to hack n slash, without telling anyone, a day after the Shadow of Revan is released. THEN and only then would it be comparable. Causing a big stink because you're upset that you won't be a special snowflake in your own mind anymore (cuz let's face it, you only had the ILLUSION of being unique before) is simply blowing everything out of proportion. You get 7 utility points and there are 21 skills. That creates hundreds of different combinations and once again creates the illusion that you will be a special snowflake (just in a different way).
