Madgecko
This is in response to all the nerf herders out there especially one particular post which is linked below. So I came up on a video trying to watch a sorcerer to see if force lightening ticked for as much as the nerf herders claim. Not only does this guy NOT hit for that ( only 300 or so on force lightening at lvl 27) but at :53 seconds into the video you see the inquisitor get hit from behind by the "rocks" and twice the skill crits for 900+. Now in another thread ( http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=77996. ) this guy says his only hit for 500 or so, max AT LEVEL 50 NO LESS!!!! LOL!!! So watch the video and tell me if I'm wrong cause it's pretty obvious to me. Right at the :53 mark. Also notice the inquisitor is not hitting for anywhere near what people say they do. Force lightening ticks only for 300 or so. You will also see where two sorcerers force lightening one target together....this is what usually happens and why people call for nerfs. When you have 2 or more hitting you of ANY class, you will go down. Just because all you see is lightening filling up your screen doesnt mean that skill is overpowered. Just means thats what you freaking notice when you die!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzGyp-TD5vM&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Madgecko
Making one thread wasn't enough for you? And it's hard to take a clicker serious anyway LOL!!! True form of the nay sayer. What does clicking have to do with numbers?!?!?! ROFL!!! If he clicks his skill it will hit for less than if he hot keyed it? Because he clicks then the the guy who made false statements about rocks only hitting for 500 at lvl 50 is somehow now justified?!?!?! Ill-logic is ill-logical. PS: Yes, one post wasnt enough cause Im sick of the lies and half-truths being spread about my class. I am into facts, not opinion. I will continue to defend my class becasue I saw this garbage get classes destroyed in other MMOs. The DEVs need the truth and not just blind, emotional false statements based on the graphics of a skill, not what it actually does. Kricys
Just shows how easy your class really is. It's an incredibly mindless class to play. Annoying for melee but their damage isn't anything to write home about.

Madgecko
And the Sorcs have all the CC they need to prevent them from doing that. Really? Which ones are you talking about cause I have been destryed by those classes CC or no CC. The only ranged CC I have to even reach those DPS ranged classes are on cooldown and one of them has a hella long casting time. Both break on damage and one is melee ranged only. Once again, tell which ones your talking about because I dont think you even have a clue what it is that you ARE talking about. Daedalin
If you watch the video, the first time he uses it, it's hitting someone for 300-400 for 6 ticks, and 509 for the 7th. Effectively making the total damage about 2300. That was with no crits as well. Also I wanted to add that the tooltip says he will do at least 1700 damage over the course of the ability. That's base damage also not including crits. Edited December 24, 2011 by Daedalin

Typical. and the 500 damage spell was not force lightening, it was his shock spell that he immediately followed up with. Thats it typical rotation of Sorcerers who know what they are doing. So, once again we have someone that doesnt see whats there and doesnt know what they are talking about...THIS IS THE PROBLEM PEOPLE!!! Madgecko
So you can feel better about yourself? Truth hurts. What truth have you stated? What facts have you used to back up anything you have said? Not one darn thing. You have made ridiculous, vague claims based on nothing and it makes you look stupid. So, yes, please stop because the only person suffering from the truth is you! Edited December 24, 2011 by Madgecko

Several points in the video the force lighting would hit for anywhere 300-400 per tick, and then get a hit for 600-700. It wasn't that one particular instance, but that is the easiest instance to point out. I see you also ignore that I pointed out that the tooltip says atleast 1700 base line damage. Not including crits. Yes his stats are boosted, but when you only have 10-13k hp from boosted stats, almost 2k of your health is quite a bit damage for one person to be able to output. Especially at level 27. It's easy for someone to defend their own class as not being OP. I've seen it happen dozen of times over the course MMO's, but when sorcs are the first ones asides from healers to be targetted in warzones, then it is no longer a singular problem. Unless I'm mistaken (haven't played a force using class too much), crits do 50% more damage, not 100%.

Once again, what is your point??? It still doesnt hit for the numbers people claim and accordning to that post by the guy that started this mess, his only hit for half...which was a lie!!! Also, what is wrong with the tool tip??? You act like that is hella damage at that lvl and Bounty Hunters and Snipers can pull those numbers in one darn shot!!!!!!!!!!!! You are making claims on the assumption that those numbers are over blown when they are in fact weak compared to other ranged, dps classes. Go look up the tooltip for Sages and Scoundrals, Snipers and Bounty Hunters because by your reasoning they too are not only OP but terribly so!!! Also crits are not 100%! You are inflating numbers which is typical of people like you. You have made no point here, what so ever. You cannot refute one thing I have said and therefore you make a hypocrite of yourself by flaming me while claiming I am flaming others. I expect it though from this community.
