even if it is suppose to be that high on a full expertise toon thats only a actual 28% increase to damage not accounting for the 20% heal increase so if you factor all three together it is a 8% increase in dps which needs to be there in order to kill healers.

Since the second implementation of Bolster Damage has always caculated more then the sum total of Damage Reduction and Healing Combined. If the two of those were equal to or greater then Damage you would not kill healers especially with gaurd.

OMG who knew a tank could do 5% more damage in pvp with guard. Notice the sarcastic tone in that you guys cry wolf on a bug when it just a mechanic. Tanks get a 5% damage increase for guarding others and take more damage for doing so it not rocket science guys. Not like 5% damage increase on a tank is over the top. OMG that tank hit me for 5% more on a 4k hit on his tank raggggeeee. Edited by Neoforcer

L2Math. You can't just take the 60% damage multiplier and subtract it by the 37.5% damage reduction and get 28%. If you do 100 damage, that damage gets multiplied by an additional 60% to equal 160- you then multiply 160 by (100%-37.5%=62.5%) to equal................100. Yes, spoilers, the damage boost and mitigation expertise stats cancel each other out.

Pretty much all this.

 

The one truly op tank is no longer viable (pt hybrid), why are people complaining about tank damage?

Its the same in lowlevel PvP. Some matches you kill em off very quickly and some matches its just impossible to kill anyone and you die almost instantly when someone hits/shoots at you. This has been going for awhile now and its freaking annoying too say the least.

 

Bioware, you need to adress this as soon as possible. No wonder that attendance is low in, especially Ranked PvP, but also in lower brackets since people are getting tired of playing PvP at all cause of this issue.

Don't overreact, dude. I didn't know that the 4-piece bonus was reflected under PvP stats, and I'm sure several other people didn't know as well. As far as they knew, it was an unexplained boost to PvP damage and were just wondering where it came from.

 

Now we know. That's half the battle.

Threads like this are what happens when ppl can't complain about smash anymore.

 

This is not about complaining about wether you die or not. This is about something fishy going on in warzones these days.

 

You can play the same team 2 matches in a row and there can be a huge difference between the 2 matches when it comes to damage.

 

First match theres no issues at all, damage seams fairly the same on both sides. People kill and dies to the right and left in both team A and team B.

 

Second match theres a huge difference between the 2 teams damage/survivability. Remember, the same 2 teams meet again. Team A kills off team B alot faster and easier this time while team B barely does any damage to Team A and hardly kills anyone.

 

This is more likely to happen nowadays. It happened everyone now and then earlier also, but after 2.6 and 2.7 this occurs alot more frequently.

 

Should say this is what has been noticed in lowlevel PvP the most since theres no expertise on gear to take in consideration, only the Bolster.
