obroan crit or main stat relic?

The main stat relic is better then all the other relics for two reasons;

1. Main stat to damage ratio is 1:0.23 where as power to damage is 1:0.2 so for every point of power you get .2 more bonus damage and every point of main stat gives .23 more damage. To my knowledge these values do not suffer from diminishing returns.

2. Main stat relic goes through buffs and skill trees when it procs. So as a PT you most likely have points in the bonus aim talent in your tree, and you will most likely have the Sorc buff. Both are applied to the main stat relic's proc so the amount of main stat you get is most likely higher then the stated amount on the relic.

So it makes the main stat relic a very powerful relic to have with the Dread Forged version BiS and Orboan second best.

You have it wrong.

Main stat is .2 and Power is .23; however, with the 9% that most classes have, it evens out, especially with the extra crit procided by main stat.

That said - power and main stat.

You forgot the 5% boost also given by sorc/sage buff, so the effective damage boost of 1 aim is 0.2289 damage, vs the 0.23 of power, but aim also gives crit, making it superior.

Mainstat is currently bugged.

The timers for the healing and damage cooldown do NOT lock each other out.

So you fire a rail shot.

The relic procs. You enjoy 6 seconds of 650 mainstat bliss.

You get hit by an AOE, 'close and personal' heals you for 800 or so.

The relic procs again. You get another 6 seconds of 650 mainstat love.

8 seconds pass, you fire again.

The relic procs... And so on.

You guys understand exactly why this relic is best in slot now right? And why it's twice as good as the power relic?

It's a must-have to compete. Because Bioware doesn't understand simple class inheritance (i.e take working relic, inherit working relic code and behaviors) and object oriented development in general.

funny, I suggested the problem was class inheritance ;)
