And this is precisely why I waited to see what people were getting out of their packs before deciding if I wanted one (and I decided I didn't and am watching the GTN for the outlaw's boots I want). Honestly, no one can really get angry at the packs. Bioware made it to where all items can be sold on the GTN, so one way or another, you can still get the items you really want. No one is making the person buy them but isn't is the game gambling that people who play at the casino feel when they're rolling dice. That's what you're doing when you buy the game taking a risk of a random reward. They really need to offer more in they're packs. I was interested in it at first but seeing how people complained on not getting anything good only confirms my thoughts it would be a complete waste of money. If you worked your 40 hours and fulfilled your obligations you should be able to entertain yourself how you please. People blow their money on much more stupid things everyday. At least this is giving people enjoyment and helping the game to flourish. I know most of you who are complaining has that one item in your home that you treated yourself to. Not because you needed it but you just wanted to treat yourself. But I guess there have to be haters everywhere you go. smh To each its own. If you give to charity or volunteer your time and extra cash. Bless you. If you are complaining and just sitting there with your lottery tickets in hand, just placed a bet with a buddy on your favorite game and have plans to hit the local club/bar this weekend or even strip club.. all I have to say is "C'mon Man!" To be honest, you have no right to be little anyone based on the way they spend their own money. Besides, you don't even know if he/she already donates (having the money to get 90 cartels I'd assume he/she probably does). Question is, do YOU feel ashamed every time you buy a game or spend money on entertainment? It's pretty much the same --- spending money on something to get entertainment out of it. The amount of entertainment is subjective, meaning you may not care for the throne but someone would really love it. It's funny that you feel you are above this person when you are a consumer yourself, and like this person, you probably contribute just as much if not more (Idk how you spend your money IRL) to the situation that surrounds people in third world countries. The way you comment on this whole situation (about donating and such), it sounds to me you just do it for the self-gratification you get out of donating and to belittle people who don't "donate". You're posting on a video game forum talking down on people so I doubt you're in Africa helping out the needy. I also doubt you're working on water purification projects to save the children who die of dehydration. Don't pretend to care when you really don't. Like I really don't need 6 of those invisible chest pieces. My super rares were: 2 Satele/1 Malgus statues2 pink-purples (end/crit) I did get a blaster rifle for my operative (was mostly excited about this) and a double bladed saber for my assassin. Honestly though I would like to see the single bladed be purchasable on its own accord. Way too many single blade users out there for how rare it is. And I get it.. it's supposed to be rare. Problem is you can buy a double for like 75k. A single is 10x as expensive. Supply is not meeting demand in an equal way. I do approve of how rare the Nihilus mask is though. I've seen like 2 total. But everytime i buy cartel coins and get packs, i get nothing but useless junk. And i think the throne comes from the blockade packs. Everyone sells the weapons and crystals for ridiculous amounts, so the only way to see what you want is to buy random packs in hope of getting the one thing you crave, and that is where bioware failed. I've opened up allot of packs and the rarest thing to date is a pink-purple end crystal. Though through the auction house I've bought, 3 white crystals, 5 Nhilist masks, 2 snipers, 2 light sabers, 2 czerka mounts, every pet that I actually wanted, I've got everything I've wanted through in game currency and its going to say like that. We have too many alt characters that we want to experience all of the stories. The GTN is bad on price anymore, so many rely on cartel packs to maybe see something worth getting, instead of farming their lives away to get about 3 million credits for that one crystal or 1 million for that one weapon or armor. In the 5th one I got the dancer outfit top and bottom. Washing my hands of them, they're not the way to make credits lol.
