JediMB Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 The Color Crystal discussion over in the PTS forum reminded me of something that's been bothering me about modification of Lightsabers in the game. It doesn't make sense for modifiable Lightsabers to have Hilt replacements because, frankly, the orange/purple shell itself is the hilt! Granted, this would be a very low-priority change, but it would also be a very easy one to implement, as all Hilt items use the same icon with different colors. Just change their names, replace the icons with a fresh new crystal icon (in different colors, and with a distinctly different shape from the Color Crystals), and change the name of the mod slot itself. Remove the stats from the color crystal, and leave that as a color only mod, and take the stats and roll them into a new item (power crystal, focusing crystal, etc..) and just add a new slot to everything that uses color crystals. They could also add special augments to adjust the stat difference for weapons only. Which would just leave a question of will weapons automatically come with augments or will they have to be added? If they come with it, it could be a way to give us new augments same way we RE hilts. This could open up new options such as procing weapons to add some flavor into the game. Which you could use in place of the augment. Although, this could still be done now. Could also just give us an outfit tab like people have asked for since the game launched.
