  1. I think there are more factors than being looked at here. This is on a dummy which does not dip to 30% where we are at risk of being rage starved. This is also a point int he boss fight you will save Bloodthirst for because it is when you deal the most damage. In some fights where you can get two off it's a little different. Or in cases where you have to save it for a burn phase. Malice offers no assistance to procing extra rage. Also are STR augments the must haves? What about power augments then make up that missing crit with crit rating. Which shouldn't take much. Especially if crit is so undervalued.
  2. If they gave me a reason to do it I'd gladly wipe the whole zone out. If I want the credits there are far better ways to get them. I'm sure I could do a few level 30 quests and get just as good. The random gear dropped has never really been worth anything. Specially now that everyone starts with T1.1. If I wanted story I could level an alt(which would again past level 30 probably give me more credits). I enjoyed them the first few times, but do you read the same book 5 times? 10 times? So I'm not getting money. I'm not getting gear. And I'm not even getting story anymore. Why would I want to clear it? Now that we're past that let me also say. On FP's like Battle of Ilum, I always ask if anyone needs to be shown how to ninja it. I try to make it work, because it doesn't often go wrong if 3/4 people run past leaving one buy behind scratching his head. Leaving people behind causes wipes, not ninjaing. If they want to fix this problem they need to make it worth spending the 20 extra seconds to kill a pack or two. Otherwise people will continue to find a way around it. I can barely stand watching most movies twice, let alone do the whole FP for the 20th+ time.
  3. I agree with a few things you said, but overall I felt that WotLK was a good expansion. Although Hodir was overall required, you could of also gone inscription(?) and gotten their profession bonus which was the same enchant slot. There was an option. Maybe not a good one, but it did exist. And I didn't mind Hodir for being on a PvP server. It brought a lot of world pvp with it being a "must do if you don't have this profession". But keep in mind the huge difference between that and Black Hole or Section X. There was an end to the grind at Hodir. You did not need to continue doing it to get the rewards once you got exalted. This game doesn't make end to any of it's grinds other than levels. And with that lack of "end" there is no real reward to strive for. Like those drakes. This game rewards players horribly. It's overall all gear. Sometimes a pet. Sometimes a mount. But mostly just gear. It's boring. WoW always rewarded you for the grind. TBC is such a great example of this. But Wrath did a perfectly fine job on it as well. Why people hate on wrath so much I don't understand too much. Naxx was kind of drawn out and ToC ruined the end game grind(IMO). And the talent tree change later in the game, which helped a lot of balance problems that too many players didn't want to see. Sadly Cata continued the trend of ToC which is where I stopped playing and I hear nothing other than how it got worse. Staying on topic: I don't understand the fear of power creep. I see it as lazy people not working to continue to work to keep their gear up to day. And if it's looks, they overall have made nothing but modable gear into the game since launch. I have yet to play GW2 and have no intention of trying it. I saw what it was and saw that it wouldn't hold up to the hype it got. From what I understand it's PvE system is a joke. And all it has is PvP, which is boring and limited overall. But is still mostly skill based. Which is it's sole attraction. If you want that go look up Forge on Steam. Same thing, for $20. And it's overall enjoyable. A few things that make it feel overpowered. But so far that's usually a stacked team. If the game gets more players to fill in the gaps I could easily see it leading MMO style PvP in the right direction. Overall(IMO), power creep for PvE is needed, power creep for PvP is the bane of it's existence. I just can't take MMO PvP seriously because I don't feel it's skilled based. I feel PvE is more skill based because you're not getting that piece of gear if your group sucks. In PvP you still get rewarded for losing.
  4. Most servers at that time were more or less dead. For the game to continue advancing it needs people to give it money. If all the servers are too thin for anyone to want to stay. If they did nothing you wouldn't have a game here to complain about. All I see you saying is "OMG there are people in my MMO, plz fix bioware!" I assume this means you're mainly doing lower level areas. In which case if it is that filled up there is probably another instance you can change to that would be lower population or at least have most of it's population not in the same area as you. They have systems to help with this problem. Is it perfect? Not at all, but in the end it works. Also the F2P'ers add life to what was a dying game. Zones are populated. Would you really rather be stuck never finding a group? In the case you would and you're really here for the single player aspect. I'd have to ask why the heck are you paying? Single player is a fully reasonable way to play this game. They made it that way. (And too much IMO.) But don't expect zero interaction with other players in a MMO of any kind. Go read the EULA. In short: You are allowed to join their game in their world under their rules. They owe you nothing. Assuming you payed for the game. You payed for the right to enter the world of Star Wars back in the Old Republic time. And that's what you got. But moving on to the rest of this sentence. Because I doubt that would bring in millions. Why sucker one person at a time when you can sucker thousands. As you can tell, I too am usually on the "bash bioware, or "swtor corp" as you called it train. I see a ton of things that I believe are problems in the game. And a lot of them really bug me because I don't understand how they wouldn't be an easy fix. And to me most of them are not changed because they believe their current model brings in more money. Which just bugs me more. If my guild every quit this game I would unsub that day. Didn't look hard, SoE was in charge of SWG when it went down. Bioware had nothing to do with it. Yey another one bites that dust that QQ's over problems that are so small or flat out don't exist. You picked horrible reasons to unsub. And you necro a thread of a bioware employ to say it. Need attention much? But don't think I post this for you, I could care less what you think. I post this so that other players will see the error of your ways and learn what you could not.
  5. This would solve so many problems with armor look in this game.
  6. Then they need to find a way to make them more exciting than "go here". Some of them I did find fun, but honestly I really don't want to waste those hours on multiple toons. I already feel like leveling on planets is a waste of my time. Only thing new I see is the class story. I much more prefer to do flashpoints and warzones to level as I like the group aspect of it. Then again I'm an old EQ1 player where everything past level 10 required a full group or roll a necro. I love the +10 datacron. A few of the solo-ish ones are fun. But I really really really don't care to do another hot air balloon ride. This legacy perk should be added. I would say add a whole new tab for them where you can "buy" them through legacy in groups or by planet. Then add group ones as their own perk. Which we only have one. Seriously would like to see them add datacrons into every flashpoint/operation. Agreed with this as well. There's a lot of room for new legacy perks. I don't think there's one that requires anywhere near the max legacy level. They have a lot of gaps to fill in there and a lot of ideas on these forms. (Legacy mounts/pets/bank/currency/datacrons/social gadgets)
  7. I heard once they don't want to bring out ranked warzones till it's a little more balanced. This could easily be wrong though. But I see a couple problems with this currently. -With Makeb around the corner, balancing classes now may not mean much. Makeb may come with a bunch of balance fixes with it. Meaning this attention that the game needs is probably not going to happen for a while. Unless it happens very soon. If they wait for Makeb, then them charging for it gets even worse. I am OK with it now until I see what it exactly will come with. But if they're holding off on IMPORTANT game fixes, then I have a problem. -Resolve bar is horrible. Proper CC balance is not really there. Probably the first thing I'd like to see on this if they keep the resolve bar is that tanks, who are in tank spec/stance, get a reduced duration to PvP stuns. Or they get a faster growing resolve bar. Overall I'd like to see more player activated anti-CC ability similar to how Blink worked for Mages in WoW. Example being a Sorc/Sage being able to shield themselves while stunned. How would this be logical you may ask? They have the force. There body is crippled but their mind still works. It doesn't have to break the stun, just be useable. 2mil cooldown with the resolve bar is such a bad setup.
  8. My only complaint is the 5 day early start will probably be up before we know what we're getting. Yes, new planet that will match that of Voss and Belsalvis in size. 5 levels. Probably Cathar A faction story for each side(aka just like every other planet, why this one is considered a big deal is beyond me). The part that worries me is that they're hyping it up a lot now. Way before it's even finished. They couldn't even know what the end project will be. It's a lot of time for changes that can happen. 3-6 months is a long time for this game. I've already got thoughts of quitting and giving Rift another try going through my mind. If all I get in the next 3-6 months is NiM TfB it will probably seal the deal for me.
  9. Think of it more as a handicap. It would reduce your overall stats. You couldn't grief anyone with it.
  10. Ilum was more of a sandbox world PvP. Problem wasn't Ilum, it was faction imbalance. If you ever showed up when the sides were balanced you would of gotten to see some amazing PvP. Sadly this is the fate of true world PvP. The idea was for people to make it happen. How long it took to merge servers was a big hitter on this game. Best example for this is Rift. They had theirs up in probably 3 months of game launch I believe it was. It was free. Instant and done at the server selection screen. Not only did they bring it out before it was needed, they brought out with perfection. I can't say I know anyone personally who quit because they lost their name. I know a few who were flat out pissed. But that's it. I can understand this one if it was a forced choice. They didn't want everyone going to the same server. But I'm willing to bet it had more to do with the engine. Scoundrels and Sorcerers have some good burst. I don't know them to have dps problems in PvP, but more on survivability. considering that theirs mostly revolves around the resolve bar rather than defensive cooldowns. Only change I know that they did was remove the random BM token of BS mini game. And that was a huge plus in the PvP world. Although "PvP gearing" would take it's own whole topic easily if I try to continue. Too soon to sell it short. So far I'm personally disappointed if grab bags become the main source of everything cool in the game. As mainly a raider over PvP'er, I do find it funny that often the main challenge of operations are fighting the bugs. Luckily this mainly effects T1. TFB was overall very polished. IMO this should be #1. People wanted a star wars experience. Not do the same thing every day grind fest. If there was a short continuing story, maybe an epic questline, it would of saved a lot in this game's start. It has gotten a lot of improvements. But it has a long long long way to go. I wont say it is worthless though. Not like it use to be. PvP more? Problem with PvP is that there is gearing in a competitive space. Most people don't play FPS's to unlock that new scope(some do I guess). They play it for the action. Personally... meh. Don't care either way. Honestly it's not like you really get anything for it. You get a few companion gifts and some letter to delete. And that's it. Even a few would of held on to the SWG crowd a little bit better. Every time I do a space mission I want to install Freelancer again and play it for a 4th time. I'm the type of guy who wont play a game a second time. That's how good Freelancer is to me. And that's how bad this game's space combat disappoints me. I'd recommend a break. Buy a few Steam sales. I would disagree with our first part of statement. This game shines over WoW in overall boss quality. Soa and TfB are unique. Only thing I'd like to see overall in operations are more trash bosses. Simple ones that are just fluff. I'd just like to see the operations filled up more. T1 was OK with split instances. And I guess EC and TfB are overall the same tier. If you want the BC experience check out Rift. It's been a while since I've played it but if it hasn't change how they make their content. It feels a lot like BC. They recently put out an expansion so the catch up shouldn't be too tough. 100% agree. Server merges and F2P brought players back to be honest. It's all the other unfixed problems that will drive them back away.
  11. I'd love to take my companions into a flashpoint. They could add in a few different mechanics to make them feel like they're properly reacting. But they'd probably just make some quicktime action for "get out of the fire".
  12. Not sure how you can say this game has plenty to explore after that list. This game should feel like it's on rails compared to those.
  13. There's nothing to see in this game that can't be seen while simply leveling. One single exception are datacrons. Sure you can find plenty of places to go look at rocks. But that's about it. There's no production behind it, nothing really worth seeing. People want to explore and find something. Would I say it's the #1 reason the game is dying? Hardly. But this game has a very boring and dead world. Even vanilla WoW had more life in it. And don't get all caught up in the "hate WoW" group. There are some standard features an MMO should have, and they should at least be better than WoW had when it came out.
  14. We get what you are saying. We think it's pointless. Reasonable credits sinks are needed. This one is completely reasonable. Only two I can think of that are not reasonable are the fact we're buying armor to rip mods out instead of just getting a token to buy the mod we need. And that Legacy level means jack overall because we have to still pay for most of it. What are you doing to do with your extra credits? Buy some Cartel Market stuff off the GTN? This game has almost no novelty shopping. We don't need cheaper things, we need more in-game things to buy. But they keep putting anything worthwhile on the Cartel Market. Even Rocket Boots are nothing special anymore, as they're cheap to buy with cartel coins.
  15. Going by that wiki, they seem way too smart to be tamed mounts. Maybe a companion. Would be cool considering one was taught the ways of the force.
