Hows arsenal working out for ya man? I heard it got buffed?

 

 

 

 

no he's not lol he's the only arsenal merc that actually does alright in pvp b4 i left. His name is kript ;p

 

Buffed lol hardly. we got an interrupt thats really helped out but lost a knock back for a 4 sec root that im not a fan of. Had a game high the other night with 850k DPS.

If I could make a mercenary 1 foot tall I'd play one since it would take people longer to realize youre screaming, "hey look at me, my damage is insane and I'm a caster, kill me, kill me" I'd happily play one. Seeing big explosions going off on you makes you want to find/kill the source quickly lol

Assault Specialist (Vanguard)

Sweltering Heat's snare has been reduced to 30%.

Incendiary Round's range has been reduced to 10 meters.

Assault Plastique's range has been reduced to 10 meters.

 

Can you point out the part where they do more burst now? I guess I don't know the class but I guess I also can't read.

Your posts are quite entertaining played a pyro merc and a darkness sin before my Shield spec Vanguard though! about to help you though out Explosive Dart and Thermal Detonator are no longer on the same CD more burst seems you no nothing about the class.

What I do know is

 

spamming skills = lower ammo regeneration = eventually zero ammo = zero burst = worthless

 

and let's just go back to keeping this on topic and not ruin everyone else's fun before it gets out of control.

Anyways, like I said and you probably don't care, make your juggernaut stand out and ppl won't have anything to say and they'll ****. Never seen someone hated on as much as you even more so than mosh and he's biggest ******e I've ever met. Though these past couple days he's been strangely acting nice and I think I saw a Gg for the first time out of his mouth when he lost >.> probably not on his period this week..........

 

Actually, you're quite wrong there. Carthy's doesn't get hated on as much as Mosh - both of them are similar in some ways and different in others. I know this because I have played with them both. I play on Pub when I get bored of winning on imp. (Yes that's not me being mean. Pubs are terribad theses a day and most of the time its two guilds -mostly MVP and GIMP trying to carry their pug and failing in the process.)

 

Mosh is a good guy when he's not carrying a bunch of abysmal pub - when he does he gets really nasty. From my observation I would say Mosh takes PVP a lot more seriously (perhaps a tad too seriously) than Carthy, and lashes out when someone on his team is under performing. He's also a lot less forgiving, probably because he regards himself and his team professional players. Again, deny it all you want but they're good enough to be.

 

With Carthy it's different. His standard is a lot lower than Mosh and he gives credit where it's due a lot more than Mosh. You don't have to be Mi'ri or Kramer to be on his list of good player. Why does he gets hated on so much? Because - unlike Mosh who trash talks pretty much everyone - he trash talks the those who aren't capable of acknowledging others. He trash talks the trash talkers as well as the ones who deserve them. And these people are the ones who are usually more vocal about about their own butt-hurt, who regard themselves as exceeding competent and can't stand it when someone think otherwise.

 

Being an mvp player myself ( and yes I consider myself an mvp player as well as a caker), I honestly believe most people here are great when you get to know them. Dom, Shaddle, Sofe, Ewa, Jwalsh, Mosh ( to a degree)... but then again there are people who think they're a bunch 15 years olds with USI.

 

Which isn't true.

 

People think Carthy is arrogant, but he actually isn't. He's never called himself a pro PT and the stuff he said - the dps and how he was the single most focus fired dps ever graced the wz on this server - is all fact. he actually flat out told me tons of other PT/Vanguards are better but they never get any mention.

 

Honestly, they're all okay people if you'd just give them a chance and the credit they deserved. I say this because I have interacted with both side, and with the players whom I didn't like. After taking a little off time from the game I realised good or bad, these are the people who are carrying the warzones in general. They all deserve to unreserved credit in post such as those.

 

But I know my tl;dr post most likely won't change your mind so continue to think Carthy is a bad PT and a prik or Mosh is a bad sent ( it may seem incredible to some of you but there are people out there who really do think Mosh is bad). Just so you know, you're making a fool of yourself because their performance - both their scores and their team rating - pretty much proves you wrong. Carthy's got the highest warzone rating and win/loss ratio on the entire server , averaging 700k dps per full wz and 90% per rated win.

 

I'm sure a lot of mvp players would have been the same as well if they don't pug rated with randoms.

 

Saying crap like "lyacon (amazing dps but never any game changing moments) and Carthy (when he's getting pocket healed) " basically discredit your entire post and it does not surprise me at all why Carthy chose to be a douch-e to you. I've never seen any imp player who actually does this and it baffles me why so many pub players make posts such as those. If you don't think they're good, don't list their name. Nobody would care. If you list their name, don't put a bracket and list condition there. You're basically asking to get flogged.

Ok, only posting this due to peer pressure, (felt bad my sorc was mentioned so much and I hadn't posted)

My post is a little different because I don't rate players the way others do

 

Sorc - Whisp, because he reads the map and knows how to play + pumps out awesome dps

Assasin - Saedus, Flash'gordon, they both know how to take me out of the game

Merc - Daffydil, cross healing with her is boss hardly ever go down

PT - Carthy, he knows how to co-ordinate with others to take down a target

Marauder - Lycaon, same reason as carthy, they both hurt

Jugg - Andynul, Atrummos, great at protecting me and pro at huttball

Op - Ganj, because its funny to watch him bend people over b4 they have time to think

Mago, because he can hold off people for ages when defending a node solo

Sniper - Bulet, always gets stuck with the boring D jobs but does it so well

 

I only mentioned the Empire players because when I'm pvping the people on my team are the ones i notice, when I'm getting hit I don't think hey who's that player, they are great, i think ah ah ah ah kite kite kite heal!

I also added why I chose the people I did because F U that's why!

 

Oh and in keeping with the current theme of a measuring contest, mine is bigger than all of yours. Deal with it!

How do you decide who the best pvp players are? Is it based on whether they can be beaten 1 vs 1 in a duel (forcebringer), or if you have them in your team, you know you already have a distinct advantage? (gamblor).

 

It is hard to rate the teams you play against. From personal experience I know that there are a few players that are nasty to face 1 on 1 (heala) and there are some players that more often than not stop you when you are micro seconds away from getting a sneaky cap on the off side (jwalsh)

 

Some players, when you come up against them, you know you need to have several players burn them down quick, or you are gonna have a bad time (toughmudder)

 

Then again, some teammates, you know when you have them on your side, you are gonna live a long time, and they will have your back (nhorn, labyrinth, yoshimitzu)

 

And then again, in particular warzones (huttball) there is no one i'd rather have in my team than an insane jugg who knows exactly what they need to do (atrummos)

 

All this being said, the best pvpers, in my opinion, are the ones behind the scenes, calling the shots. The ones that don't stay and defend a node with 4 ppl when there are 2 attackers, they are already running off to reinforce another spot. The ones that call the rotations in warzones like novare coast ( i remember a particular one vs mvp where the east node was impossible to retake, purely because the rotation there was impeccable) Not sure who calls the shots imp side, but I know guys like Saedus and TImmy our side read them very well.

 

All this being said, the best players i've found, are the ones that work well with their team. Some premades, when you get grouped with them (NS for example) you know you have a good chance of getting a win.

I agree. There are a few good dps operatives (Ganj and Aztang spring to mind), but if there is one person i could give an "old guy raised fist" to, it would have to be Heala. That guy is an incredible pain in my behind .

Been away from the game for so long I'm not sure who's the best pvper nowadays. I had wished to see some new blood when I first came back - but once again it's always the same group of people ( as listed by the majority of you) who are carrying everyone else.

 

I will say this though, Pub pvpers deserve more respect atm because the pug they're running with/ they are going to be running with, are borderland BAD.

Lordoss, sadly, I think the 'bad pugs' isn't just limited to Pub-side. So many PvE gear wearing people on my teams of late.

 

It's very depressing though fun to wager on how many times they'll die.

Even many of the non-pve geared pugs are bad on the Imp side (at 50). No awareness, no use of cc. No focusing, horrible calls. I can think of multiple full WH players like this and I think we all know who they are.

Happened to me in a wz coming back from being 3 capped score was 100-170 two defenders on snow spam "HELP" in ops we go over there its one person Quiman i think his name was just a Vigilance Guardian end up losing mid becuase of it and losing the game. Im greatful they can call incs but calling the amount visible would be so much better
