Vibroswords > Lightsabers for Combat Spec?

Since Combat is predominantly White Damage, is it better to go with Vibroswords over Lightsabers for Combat spec since they have higher base weapon damage?

Base weapon dmg comes from the hilt. for example: A lvl 26 hilt(61) will do the same dmg in a lightsaber or a vibrosword.

Vibroswords have a larger range for damage (higher cap, lower bottom)... however, won't crits generally see the returns from the higher end damage, giving vibros a slight advantage?

 

Force damage will be the same since they share the same Force Power bonus, but the minimum/maximum damage on the weapon itself would seem to give a slight advantage to vibroswords for Combat's White Damage.

If the average is the same, the average damage will be ... the same.

Vibroswords have higher minimum and lower maximum, the difference is 8.
