I see Level 26 people in PvP with them all the time. My purple crystal came from the Crystal Vendor. Apparently this option is no longer available, so I have no idea on how to get a purple crystal (bar that ridiculously silly black-purple that sells on the PvP vendor or something.). It was a short promotion for players before 1.2, at which point it was removed. There are currently no schematics to make purple crystals in-game, as this color is supposed to be pretty rare. Exactly! I've seen other forums that say: "They're rare, but you find them in Ops. Jedi can loot them." Others say: "Nope, nowhere to be found." Had it changed to the purple I fetched before 1.2 Not sure on 50 PvP, but Battlemaster seems to come with the horrid black-red crystal as well. I wanted purple sabers for my sentinel so I picked up enough baradium flux while I was doing 1-49 pvp. I had seen the schematic and materials required on TORhead but have now come to find that they basically don't exist. The only people I've seen claim to have one always follow up with the "I got it from a friend or bought it on the GTN" story. SajmanPeetee Posted May 31, 2012 Share Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) Allow me to put this issue to rest then. The purple crystals were on the fleet vendor prior to 1.2. That vendor is gone now. The purple pvp crystal is still obtainable. The recipe comes out of the Grade 6 crafting pvp boxs along with the recipes for the cyan and magenta expertise crystals. They are extremely rare, I have opened about 20 of these boxs and have only recieved the green and cyan recipes. The crystal that comes from Ops is the non-pvp Magenta crystal. It is pink in color. Glad you think that your opinion on color crystals is all that matters. I personally have 16 different crystals in my cargo bay on my sentinel. 8 of which are of the different black core color crystals, of which I currently have 2 black-red crystals equipped. So far ot my knowledge there are/were only 2 ways to get them: A) Tell Bioware you bought the wrong white color crystal and ask for a swap for the +41 whatever you wanted.
