  1. Thanks for the update Eric. Good to know that Sinister isn't actually super rare. On another note, some people on this thread need to chill out. Bioware could mail each player a $100 bill in the mail, and they'd complain about how it's folded.
  2. According to the email we got, it'll just be roving hypercrates at 5500 Coins each. http://imgur.com/hfWOxpQ
  3. While this may be true, its probably best to beg and ask for an invite. That works 60% of the time. Promise.
  4. If you preorder the Shadows of Revan expansion now, you'll get a 12x XP buff on all of your characters (regardless of their current level) as you play through the CLASS QUESTS ONLY. This also includes Makeb's main storyline. These perks are for all of the characters on your account as long as you are a subscriber, through December 1st. The level cap of 60 will go into effect on December 2nd.
  5. I like the way this guy thinks. I would enjoy subscribing to your newsletter.
  6. Oh I know. I just want to hold out a small bastion of hope.
  7. I know you guys are hard at work with TONS of interesting things for Shadows of Revan. This is especially true when you consider the solo version of Forged Alliances, new class missions, new level cap, Discipline system...etc. In Rise of the Hutt Cartel, we got Cathar as a new playable race. But you know...I don't think may of us are really "cat people," despite this being the internet. I'd be willing to wager that most of us are dog people...or Togruta people...or Nautolan people. So, any chance of a new race this expansion, either at launch or shortly thereafter?
  8. So many tortured artists in this thread. I for one am pretty excited. I actually didn't like SWG's means of decorating. It was way too time consuming. I would end up going to my house and just dumping things wherever I found a space because I hated messing with the x, y, and z axes. This reminds me a lot of how Animal Crossing's housing works, and that was always tons of fun. Also, I'm seeing the same 15 people complain about "being disappointed" and "this is the worst thing they could have ever done, they have essentially murdered my father in the street." So, if Bioware has disappointed a whopping 15 people with this, then kudos to them. Everything else they do seems to disappoint many more these days. Good work. Loving the housing system so far.
  9. With the way he talks about EA, it seems like it's his own personal truth.
  10. What keeps me playing is my friends. We all love playing this game. As long as we can remained entertained, we will keep playing it. Of course, new story and PvP content helps. Personally, I'm excited for GSH (more than my friends are, that's for sure.)
  11. We get it, you are being pedantic, and EA has sodomized your mother. I'm curious as to why, if you despise them so, you give them a monthly subscription fee? Back to the topic at hand, OP, put in a bug report. When you have a photo as evidence, it definitely helps them figure out the issue.
  12. Believe it or not, in the Star Wars Universe, there are multiple languages. When dealing with the Hutts and Hutt events (such as this one) all the alien races will generally not speak basic.
  13. One of the other Coruscant videos had the chairs with someone sitting in them, so I'm gonna guess that yes, you'll be able to sit in the chairs.
  14. Exactly. This is Bioware saying "Hey, I know there's a shiny new game out this weekend that you'll probably be playing for a bit. But in the event that you aren't, here's a sale on some stuff you've all requested make a comeback to the Cartel Market."
  15. I don't know if they have many concerns about this vendor. I don't imagine that there are many people on each server that still play that also have a CE. I'm one of them, but I imagine those who do are few and far between. They probably aren't going to spend time and resources on something that only ~100 people per server can use.
  16. The handling of the name registration is pretty awful. Name reservations being worldwide, and their server not being able to handle the load are red flags. I can only imagine what we'll see on launch day, as anyone new to the game will have a hard time finding any name in those first two weeks. Of course, that's assuming anyone will even be able to log in on those first days. Knowing NCSoft, no one will be able to.
  17. I know we get the Bounty Contract Week once a month, but that's just to hunt NPCs. One thing I'd like to do, is hunt other players on a grand scale. My friend and I have been talking about this idea, and I think we have the best possible solution. I’ve been wanting player Bounty Hunting back ever since I left SWG years ago. So here’s what my friend and I came up with. Bounty Broker’s Association Great Hunt Abstract: A new planet is being used by the Bounty Broker's Association to start a miniature "Great Hunt." Players volunteer for the event and travel to the planet. They buy in, receive a mark, and then are set in a zone to hunt down their target. They are friendly to all other players save their mark, and the one hunting them. When you kill a player, you collect their buy in. At the end of the timer, the players still alive get to keep the bounties! Story: The Bounty Broker's Association wants to start a new competition among the citizens of the galaxy. They've taken a small, multi-climate moon for the event, a moon with four distinct zones. Players from across the galaxy are invited to participate in this event. The surviving players keep the credits they've earned from their bounties! The Planet: On this remote moon in Hutt Space (about the size of the playable area of Tattooine), four distinct zones exist due to its proximity to other planets. There is a snow capped mountain, a thick forest, a marshy swamp, and a chasm filled desert. Upon the event's start, players are dropped into one of these four zones. The desert area is full of deadly cliffs that can become your greatest ally or worst enemy, depending on how you and your mark use them. The snowy zone offers limited visibility and the periodic snowstorms reduce movement speed, great for ambushing speedy prey. The forest is dotted with ancient ruins of a primitive civilization. This allows players to hide and use line of sight to their advantage. The BBA has also set up crows nests throughout the forest so you can scope your prey from afar. The swamp is filled with beasts, which may help or hinder your target. Make sure to be careful! How it works: Upon landing on the moon, players are asked to buy in for the event. The price could change depending on the time of day, but a good starting price would be 20k credits. That becomes your bounty, and its set in an escrow account until the end of the event. Players are then bolstered to level 55 (like a warzone) and wait for the event to start. When the event starts, players are dropped into one of the four zones randomly. They are then given their target (a player only has one person marked and can only be marked by one player at a time initially) and 20 tracking drones. By using their tracking drones, a player will get information on their target's location in real time. When a player is in a different zone than their mark, the drone will only alert them to the zone their mark is in. When they are in the same zone, the drone will give basic waypoints (like how the kill X mobs quests work) that gets smaller and smaller as you use more drones and get closer to the target. You are only flagged as an enemy combatant to your mark and the one hunting you. When you find your mark, you will either kill them, or be killed by them. If you kill your mark, you gain 10000 of their credit buy in (to your escrow) and your drone limit is refreshed to 20. You are then given a new mark to start the process over. If your mark kills you, they are awarded 10000 of your credit buy in and get a defensive buff until they are killed. This buff stacks up to 3 times. When you are killed, you are randomly ported to one of the zones to start again. You are given a different mark and repeat the process. When a person has two defensive buffs, they can then become marked from two players. If a person with two defense buffs is taken out by either of their hunters the player who dealt the finishing blow gets 10000 credits of their target’s total take. Upon your mark’s defeat, the other player with that same mark is notified that the target has been killed. However, they have 5 minutes to find and track down the person who killed their mark before they are awarded a new mark. At this point, both players who shared the same mark and now flagged as enemies and can kill each other. This process also applies when a person gets three defensive buffs, allowing three people to hunt one mark simultaneously. How to win: This process plays about for an hour or more, depending on the amount of players that have bought in for the round. At the end of the timer, players are teleported back to the start. If at any point a player drops to zero credits in their Bounty Escrow Fund, they are ejected from the event and returned to the starting area. Anyone who still has money left in their escrow account may then keep it. If at any point a player drops to zero credits in their Bounty Escrow Fund, they are ejected from the event. The players that finish top (with the most overall kills) earn unique currency to be spent on gear and weapons for the event. The process then goes on cooldown for 6 hours. The event would replay at 6am, noon, 6pm, and midnight server time to give all players a chance to play, regardless of schedule. Registration for each event would be open from the end of one event until the next start. Players could go to the planet and buy in for the event and then wait. When the event is ready, players will be asked if they’d like to quick travel to the event. (If a player logs out during this time, their credits are refunded.) Thank you for reading, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on the idea.
  18. I need that tommy gun for my agent, just so I can reenact scenes from Home Alone.
  19. That image they are using is bugged. Here's the tooltip for it. (Thank LuckyGunslinger on Reddit) http://i.imgur.com/87DfXm7.png It's just a two legged walker. Think of the walkers that the clones used in Episode 3. I don't expect it to be any bigger than the Rancor mount.
  20. It was stated that we'd be able to put our companions in our home as "decorations." What I'm hoping is that they are more than just a decoration. I would like my companion to walk around the apartment. Nothing major, just a small walking pattern that they have. They seem so static on the ship. If a patrol path is too much for them to follow, give them a few different animations that may play randomly when I zone into the apartment. One where they are sleeping on the bed, another working on a terminal, a third where they seem to be crafting something...small details like that which makes them seem more than a "decoration." I'd also love if you get the voice actors to record a few lines of dialogue for them, just something they say when you walk in. Vette: "Aaah, it's good to be home." Kaliyo: "I'm headed for the liquor cabinet." Gault: "Better check to make sure my panic room wasn't bugged while we were out." Ashara: "I'm still getting used to the Sith life, but, comforts like coming home are the same regardless of your affiliation." Basic stuff like that. That would make the Stronghold feel more alive than anything else. I'd also love to hear anyone else's suggestions for companion behavior below!
  21. I love the unique mounts for top tiers. Top Tier: Let PvPers get a Republic/Empire tank of some kind, and it would be awesome if it had a firing animation (that of course, did nothing. Unless you want to make it knock down weak and standard mobs, just for fun.) Middle tier: Unique armor that comes with MK-9 augment slots. This armor is bound to legacy, and every character can unlock it at level 55. That'll save a PvPer tons of money, especially on other characters. Low tier: Unique pet, unique title. Bonus amount of ranked coms for the new season. I'd also think it would be awesome if the top player on each server would get to name a weapon that would exist on their server. It'd be even cooler if the item was a world drop, and anyone could loot it. Think of how awesome it would be for a player to know that "Dulfy's Knowledge-bringer Lightsaber" can drop in the world?
  22. I hope they sent you one of the Data Entry items for free...
  23. So, lots of rage in this thread, but I'm gonna toss out an idea. Name: Defense of Voss Style: Tower Defense Scenario: The war has spilled over onto Voss. The Empire and Republic are both fighting for control of a protected Voss temple which contains ancient holocrons of both the Sith and Jedi. Objective: The attacking and defending teams are determined randomly at start. The attacking team needs to breach the defending teams walls (2 sets of 2, and then 2 final single doors) On each door are turrets that the defending team can man. The attacking team has access to tanks and needs to shoot down the walls. Players not in tanks can grab bombs and set them at the walls to destroy. Defending players that aren't in turrets can defuse those bombs or kill the bomb carriers. Each wall would have two turrets that can be manned by players to help destroy tanks. How to win: The attacking team needs to breach the final wall before time runs out (10 minutes). If they do, the teams switch places and the new attacking team must breach the final wall in less time. If the original attackers do not breach the wall in 10 minutes, the defenders have a full 10 minutes to breach the final wall. In the event neither team breaches the final wall, the winning team is the one who destroyed more walls. In the event of a tie, the team with the fewest deaths wins. How to make a comeback: Easy. Just like Voidstar, the time works the same. This is essentially a Voidstar match with turrets and tanks.
