rvauco Posted May 11, 2012 Share Posted May 11, 2012 I'm a jedi consular I'd love to choose another jedi or even a padawan as a companion but it seems like that's not possible right? Suppose you can't pick any class in order to keep balance it would be great to at least pick the race and gender of them I'd love to have some chicks around instead of the lizard or Cedrax / Iresso - they're fugly! It does sound interesting to think about being able to choose which companions join your cause but I doubt we'd ever see that due to the amount of development that would require. I will grant that I think that the consular companion list is rather plain, but Qyzen is certainly "more special" than Corso Riggs, isn't he? Or Vette? Yeah, I think that the consular could use another female or replace one of the 'normal' guys with a droid or another alien, but if it was up to me every class would have the same basic companion template; One male, one female, one male or female (two Republic classes would have a second male companion, two a second female, and same for the Empire side), all of whom would be romanceable, and then they would have two exotics, one of which would be an alien (Skadge, Blizz, Khem, Qyzen, etc) and the other either a droid of some sort or another alien (since everyone has the ship droid, anyway). Don't expect them to ever just open up companions to anyone who wants them or something like that. It's part of the experience of playing different classes, seeing the various companions in the game -- they are all (other than ship droid) unique for each class. So roll up some alts and see the companions and their stories. If you want Mako and Blizz, roll a BH; if you want a Twi'lek and... other things... roll up a SW. As already explained, it's difficult that we'll ever see the possibility to pick and choose companions directly. But, as mentioned, you get Nadia Grell as a companion at the end of the Belsavis class quests. - Nadia is a chick. - She's also your padawan. - Some vendors sell customizations for her (and all other companions), maybe you'll find one that you like.
