IIRC, it was for something much larger than this issue though. So, i still give BW kudos for stepping up to the plate much sooner than other companies do. psst... SoE never gave us crap for all the PatchQ... err, EverQuest downtime
Stayfrawsty
I cant help but feel that the extra time was more like "here's some free time while we try to sort out the mess we made with the last patch." On a side note, WoW used to compensate players with free time in the early days of WoW. As they got better at posting patches, they stopped doing this. They had an extra what 6-8 hourse of downtime and a free day of service is very fair compensation. No need to give 3 days

On a side note, WoW used to compensate players with free time in the early days of WoW. As they got better at posting patches, they stopped doing this. It happened in vanilla only. Might have happened once or twice in TBC as well which i cant remember but that's about it. There's a pattern there...and a reason. Which is fine tbh... in this early stage of the game it's beneficial. I'd be raising an eyebrow if they did this further down the line though. Sheff
Well I can attest to Blizz being very good in the early days for compensation. Because of the server instability on release I had over a week of compensation. They quite often gave out free days as I recall. Got nothing in particular against BioWare though. Apart from the ME3 ending...... and the poor state this game was released in....... and their arrogance at not admitting problems with the game engine. But apart from that no problem. Geehew
I'm content and feel it was generous of Bioware/EA. I have to say at the risk of sounding a broken record..they're doing what they can as best they can as fast as they can, in my opinion. I wish there weren't so many self-entitled, hateful critics constantly bashing these guys. Patience is a virtue.

I played WoW since day 1 (and played for 3.5 years). I remember it being shut down for 3 DAYS straight....no recompense. Blizzard doesn't suck, neither does BioWare. At least BW actively supports their customers.

Captain_Zone
And chances are BioWare did it over the strenuous objections of EA. Because that's the way EA rolls. EA doesn't give a crap about the customers. BioWare does. Plain and simple.

Badlander
This game is in trouble. I have never seen any other game company give out 30 days free only 4 months after launch. What you are responding to is just more conjecture and outright lies. I got 3 to 6 single days in 7 years. There was never a time when they gave three days, but they did shut down for about three days in the early going. All games grant a free month on special occasions, no different then we see here. What you are responding to is just more of the same misinformation and conjecture by what seems to be the same group of unhappy campers. Wow was a great game, so is this one.
