Archturus
This is more of a question than an observation. I have opened 20 chests since hitting Battlemaster and have only gotten 3 tokens. The rest has just been champion comm's which I should apparently be using as target practice based on thier worth to me now... However, 3 people in my guild have the opposite tendency when opening a BM chest. One person is 5 for 5 in getting a token, another is 4 for 7, and someone else averages 50%. So my question is...What the F***? Anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know how this is being addressed because atm it just seems like an unfair advantage to certain people? And yes, I have tried all the tips and tricks of "open your chest here" or "at this time", and etc. No difference. Hahaha The above connection between cause and effect is hillarious. Humans poor sense of probability is always entertaining. Don´t be frustrated. 3 is not that bad. I started even worse than you. Random drop chance was a bad idea. Edited April 1, 2012 by Sabredance
Frankee
3 tokens in my first 4 bags. 3 Tokens in the next 6 bags. Then a week later got another 4 tokens in 6 bags. Racked up and spent more Commendations and got earpiece, implants, relic, belt. I just need main and offhand and I'm full BM in less than 2 weeks. MidichIorian
I was 5 out of 5 on my first bags. Now I'm somewhere around 15-8. On the other hand, I've managed to lose every roll in 5 or so HM'es in a row. It has reached the point where I will lose even if I need when everyone els greeds. ZaRree
haha correlation is not causation:p you have the same probability as anyone else, I agree "random" drop was a bad idea and I feel for ya
MatAuc
OMG you just proved that random is.... random! Add all the numbers you stated together and yes, you are relatively close to 25%. Add even more numbers and you will approach 25% even more. And guess what, out of 100 000 opened bags, 75k were empty. Nothing new or abnormal year. Case closed, dont go to casino, move on. Vinxius
100000000000001010 That's my record so far. (1's means I got a token 0's means I didn't). To use RGN is pretty stupid. Why can't they just make everything 4 times as expensive, but have a BM token drop every time. Effectively the average rate of BM gear progression will be the same, but you won't piss off unlucky people... This is just one of the many things that highlight how little experience BW have with multi-player games. Edit: They will need to make the BM token purchasable at 250/250 Merc/WZ commendations as well. Edited April 1, 2012 by Vinxius
ZaRree
well a computer cant create a random sequence (not sure random really exist xD) but u should roughly get a 25% drop rate over time.

Random gives you a dopamine rush which is addictive. Makes you feel more rewarded when you get something and also stimulates your willingness to continue playing (as opposed to what people "i quit because of rng"). But people will in fact quit because of a too linear progression. That is also the reason why casinos are sucessful even though you tend to lose. I'm so infuriated and feel so insulted by Bioware. Each bag I open feel like their taking a piss... pissing straight in my face while laughing... I can't see it any other way other than that... and I'm increasingly feeling the urge to serious cause some bodily harm to those responsible for making me feel this way... I got 2 options as I see it.. suck it up or jsut quit this gosh darn ****** game and enjoy real life while I wair for Diablo 3. Just feel such a waste what i've done up until now. And yes I'm fairly certain I'll recieve a ban for this, but you konw what? I couldn't care less. You know I'm entitled to be angry, and instead of making it right, it's much easier to ban:( Edited April 1, 2012 by Xamzam

It took us a whole three months of near constant complaining for Bioware to abandom their stupid RNG PvP loot system. Thank god it will be gone in patch 1.2. Robochomp
Your lucky! I opened 37 bags before getting my first token, then i got like 8 in a row, then went another 20+ bags before getting more lol. Luckily I am full BM geared now and since the last patch where you could buy BM tokens for comms I have only seen 1 token drop out of a bag, otherwise I have been just buying them with comms. My thrills come from killing people in pvp. It’s an aggravating way to distribute gear. Your analagy is pretty bad, id argue most logical people dont get a rush out of a "chance" to win - the ups and downs are just irritating for someone level headed. "Linear" progression doesn’t seem to fail in WoW, works very well actually.
darkmoney
I'm 5 tokens for 56 bags, I'm valor rank 73, and still have 6 champion peices, I've farmed 1 more then i've gotten from bags.... totally sucks.
LoKiei
This system will go away with 1.2 apperently. I agree that if they kept it random their should have existed a min/max frequency on the drop rate. Edited April 2, 2012 by LoKiei
