I pre-ordered two CEs in 2011. I opened one and played until 2014. I just found the other one still sealed in the original shipping box. It has never been opened. I checked ebay and saw a seller asking almost $2k for unopened editions. There can't be many unopened boxes left...I wonder what this could sell for?

I think this is a known bug. I have never seen it myself, but I have read posts about it here. Should have been fixed by now. And yeah, customer service is not very helpful. They twice told me I had to get 3 medals to get rewards in a war zone after I put in a ticket because I didn't get credit for a win. And this was AFTER they had changed it to 1 medal needed for rewards. Even after I pointed out that I was talking about getting credit for a win and not rewards they just told me again I needed 3 medals to get rewards. They haven't a clue.

A day to late...my sub is out and so am I. Population will not fix the problems with this game unfortunately. But faster WZ pops is a step in the right direction.

I agree there are to many stuns.....I disagree it is only a one faction problem. Both sides have equal amount of stuns.

I see your POV from the prospective of someone that does not PvP very much. I leveled my main doing PvP and class quests almost exclusively so leveling valor was not hard for me. My complaint about valor is up to and then after that level it is completely useless except for getting titles. If valor is to be a viable statistic in the game it should have some value at lower levels and continue to add value at higher levels. If not, then just remove it IMHO.

I think your many complaints about PvP and PvP complaints are unfounded!

Really? Well when there was a reason to be on Ilum it became unplayable when there were more then one full OP group on each side. That has nothing to do with the players. And it's not like they didn't give the impression (they even talked about 100v100 battles) that epic world PvP was IN the game. It is not. And must I bring up what happened when players did force the world PvP issue and got threatened and then called liars here on these forums by BW staff. Yeah I know they apologized for that. They should also apologize for misrepresenting this game and refund my CE purchase. But they won't.

The set bonus is the same for BM and WH. You can mix two different types of gear and get the two set bonus for each type. I did this for awhile but then decided the 4 set bonus was better. Just to be clear. The WH armoring mod gives the set bonus. You can mix any other mod, enhancement and augment. If you put the WH armoring mod in ANY gear it becomes that type of WH gear with the set bonus. ANY orange gear. BM armoring will NOT do this however. BUT BM gear with WH armoring mod will become WH gear... I am using an orange modable chest that has a hood and an augment slot because I like the look . But with a WH armoring mod in it my set tool tip calls it a WH chest with the set bonus of the type of gear it came out of. I have also tweaked my stats with mods from other types of gear but made sure the armoring piece matched the set bonus I wanted. Oh, and like the post above says, the armoring mods are specific to the piece, in other words the chest armoring will ONLY go in another chest piece. The other mods can be mixed and matched in other pieces however... wow, is that over complicated or what? ...my head hurts now ... =/

Wow, just wow! A PvP server with actual world PvP happening? Would love to see that on my PvP server. Barley enough population for WZs atm. Also, I am not so sure BW deserves props on this for coming clean. Seems to me they got caught and had no choice. That was some pretty harsh treatment of paying customers on the server AND on these forums. And they closed that thread. I myself have been censored on this forum for voicing my displeasure in a product I spent a lot of money on and have NO way of getting a refund for. It's just "take what we give you" or uninstall and throw your CE investment in the trash if you don't like it. Way to build a customer base BW. I think you are a little past the oops here is an apology stage...need something more IMO. I wonder if this will get deleted or locked now.

This guy says it about as well as I have seen it said. CC and GEAR should NOT determine the outcome of PvP fights. By doing so you reduce the effect actual player skill has. Warhammer had so many things right. It could have been the best MMO PvP. But the devs decided to give the few "Hardcore" players giant Gear/Stat advantages that drove the "casual" players away. I put those in quotes because to me a "Hardcore" player is NOT someone that spends hours grinding out gear so they can roll new players/causal players with less gear. That is just a player with more time not necessarily more skill. This is why I named a FPS (Tribes, and I mean Tribes 1 as in the first and best Tribes) as the best PvP. You still had rolls to play with different classes, you could tweak how you played but everyone pretty much had the same gear and the same chance to win or lose. THE most fun PvP I have ever had in an on line game.

This thread is a little to negative toward BW and is offering no constructive discussion. I predict a thread censor ....errr.... closure soon. Which is the only type of communication from BW I have ever seen on these PvP forums.

LOL, first of all, calling everyone that has a problem with the game self entitled instant gratification seeking children is a personal attack. Pointing out the fact that is not a correct depiction of those people is a disagreement with your perspective not an attack. I have only seen that logic used in politics. Also I can not return my game for a refund since it has not delivered what they advertised it would. (No world PvP anywhere!). And your analogy of the TV need accessories is not even close to relevant. Are you saying there are add ons I could have purchased for this game to make the game deliver what they said it would? If you want to be a fan-boy and you are enjoying the game well more power to you and I am truly happy you are happy. Many of us have waited years for this game and had faith enough to purchase the game and even the CE just to be let down. And they don't even try to communicate with us on what they intend to do to fix it. I mean the PvP content. You can not tell me they have delivered on or even addressed the future of World PvP. why not? So, using your logic if you purchased a TV that advertised 1080p HD and when you opened the box you found out it was 780p you should just be happy it's HD and not say anything, because if you do you are a self entitled child, looking for instant gratification and it is your own fault for paying for the 1080p because you didn't have to. Is that about it? Also, you apparently think any complaint is an expression of anger and should be suppressed?

Self entitlement? Did some people get this game for free with endless free game time? If so those people have no right to complain about this game not living up to the hype. But for all of us that did pay for the game (I bought the CE) then we have every right to complain and point out the flaws and failings of this game. The VERY biggest failing is failing to communicate with their customers. Customer service is cut and paste responses that in my experience didn't even address the subject of the ticket. For example, I put in a ticket about not getting credit for a WZ win. The response was that you needed to get 3 medals to get rewards in a WZ. First, they had already changed it to 1 medal so this was incorrect information, second, that was not the problem I had submitted. It was for not getting credit for the win, not about the rewards! I pointed this out in a reply and got the same exact cut and paste response that still referred to the need to get 3 medals. I point this out as an example of how incompetent they have been in many aspects of this game. If they just had better communication it would help tons! People have been very patient IMO. Gratification has not even been close to instant. I have hung around because I am a big star wars fan and I could see the great potential of this game. I am on a PvP server and I wonder why? There is NO world PvP. Some people say SWTOR is not and was not intended to be a PvP game. I usually don't respond to people with broad brush biases like this guy. but I just couldn't help myself. Just to be clear I am not talking directly to the OP of this quote because someone with this narrow view is not someone you can reason with. They are on the same level as someone that says all people of a certain race display the same traits. To say anyone who objects to a mechanic in the game is a bad player is just inane. Many really good players have said they would like to see resolve work differently. It does not make you a bad player to be annoyed by all the movement impairment they have in this game. I say movement impairment so it is clear that I am not just talking about the "true" definition of CC whatever you think that is. Controlling a Crowd can be achieved by slowing that crowd. It is not required that the "crowd" be frozen and unable to move to be CCed. At least IMHO. CC is needed in PvP. I don't think every class needs it however. I don't think every class needs multiple CCs. Every CC is an interrupt as well. It is annoying and it is one reason the population is so low and your wait time for WZ pops is so long. So, those that enjoy the over the top CC, good on you! I am glad you are having fun with it. Wouldn't you have MORE fun if there were less stuns and MORE players to use them on? Just saying.

The set bonus is tied to the armoring mod. You can swap the other mods to play with the stats though.

Have you compared the stats pre and post 1.2? Expertise is much more important to have as a fresh 50 then it was. Recruit gear is not great but it gives you around 900 expertise. And believe me you NEED that expertise for WZs. Expertise not only reduces damage taken from a player it increase your damage to a player. Player being the key word here. Expertise is NOT a defensive stat. It is a PvP stat. It ONLY effects damage to and from other players. It has no effect in PvE. BW did this intentionally. They want you to use PvP gear for PvP and PvE for PvE. It means more play time and more money for them. They say they do it so you have to participate in PvE or PvP content to get BIS for that activity. Before 1.2 some PvP gear was an upgrade when using it for PvE and some PvE gear in PvP. In fact BIS for PvP was a hybrid mix of both before 1.2. If you don't want to be face-rolled in 2 seconds get your recruit set before entering a WZ. You are not doing your teammates any favors either if you don't. And they will tell you about it. Might even leave the WZ.
