Don't tell me to play a merc because I got bored of it. As other's stated, it's more than ample DPS. Granted, a big portion of that comes with managing your heat effectively. If you can't do that then it is near bottom of the barrel DPS. But that is player related over class related. This is in regards to Pyro. If you want to do descent DPS but have more wiggle room with heat you could go AP. It is not nearly as strong as Pyro but has a lot less of a learning curve.
