Just a update. The Unofficial EU Server forums are up and running and ready to go. Just need you guys to start posting! don't be shy!!

Pick your server board...there's 91! to choose from.

I am updating it as necessary to make it a quick, easy and pleasant experience. Updates can be seen HERE

Most important link is REGISTER HERE! takes 30 secs and can start posting straight away.

People have done already but a forum is only created by posts. the more people that register and post the quicker it fills up. So if your on a EU server sign up today and spread the word and it will take off pretty quick.

Cheers,

Edit: Please take 5 mins to read and comment (After registering) on this post http://www.eotp-gaming.net/swtorforum/viewtopic.php?f=201&t=2 hopefully some people may find it 'useful'. Thanks

Since the good people here have decided not to make server forums, I made up a site that has all the USA servers.

It's meant to have discussions regarding guilds and the servers in general. Easily searchable and as guilds are posted, they'll be organized into Master Lists for each server so that people can find a guild that matches what they're looking for.

You can find them at http://www.swtorserverforums.com. Hopefully the site will see some action. Spread the word, and post your recruitment thread today!

Hello there folks!

I'm glad to announce that me and a couple of friends took this into our own hands and made a forum just for the server Bloodworthy EU since i thought it's a critical option that we all need.

It's much work still in progress but here it is http://bloodworthy.com let us know if there is anything missing or anything you would like to change.

I hope you will enjoy our little project and lets get this going, spread the word!

Contact me through the forums or through irc at: http://webchat.kottnet.net/?c=bloodworthy or join the irc network with a mIRC client irc.kottnet.net #bloodworthy

#bloodworthy @ irc.kottnet.net

We are hosting a web-irc on the forum so you dont need an irc client to join :)!

Idont like that people are hosting "unofficial" forums on a free domain or w/e its so bad...

So please join us and help us build this great server forum!

Swtorserverforums Site with forums for all US servers.

The sad part here is Bioware took the time to sticky this thread, yet they can't be bothered to respond to the real issue at hand and solve it.

SWTOR customers are shelling out personal funds, real money, to create something that Bioware should be doing for us.

Since you brougt this up i got my own Vbulletin license for my forum, the forum template, the domain and i uppgraded my server a bit, try to guess that in $ :)

But, as long as that will help the community it's not biggy for me, as tron said so well "I Fight for the users", but for me users would be players.

this thread is a great tribute to the dedication of the fan base..

and a tragic display of the indifference and the degree of disconnect Bioware/EA have from the gaming community.

I have no doubt that the devs and game designers love gaming and the community, but in this case, it is pretty obvious who has won out between the gamer-turned-programer vs. the bean counters.

It has been shown time and time again over the internet that due to human nature, "fans" running whole communities with no one to oversight or vet them rarely ends well due to the cliques that inevitably form around having power). I like that we have very fully and actively staffed official forums and hope they will continue like that for the future and further grow the community It really, really, is the best way rather than giving up and leaving, since most new people will always come to the official forums anyway you lose your audience by retreating out to clan and fan sites!

I made a big reply on this stuff here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=67106&page=2

I understand what you mean, Someone get's power and then we have a dictatorship chaos on our hands if it all goes wrong.

However, i feel that it's better to start something up then just sitting aidle and wait for bioware to do someting they most likley wont do, that's why i started up my forum, i dipped into my christmas bonus to buy a Vbulletin license, a vbulletin skin, have a logo made among more things just to help the community out in the way i can do it.

Awesome thanks for this I started The Fatman facebook group in hopes of using it as an area for everyone on the server to communicate a little better. Happy to see other people doing the same! Edited by Miyi

Guys while I share the sentiments, can we not clutter this thread with them, lets at least try to keep all the "y u no server foram bw" in one of the 50+ threads we have on it :)

And Merry Happy to you all, keep those listings coming!

I applaud the efforts of players to organize their own server forums.

However, they are no substitute for server forums operated and maintained by the developer of the game.

I think some players like the unofficial forums better because its easier and more overlooking than the official.

So for some people i think it can be a good substitute for the official forusm.

Why dont make irc.kottnet.net the official irc server for SWTOR :)? it have servers in Sweden and the US so its stable all over the world for people to join and chat!

Its a very stable irc network and there isnt alot of downtime like others (quakenet) etc.

There really needs to be official server forums. People are going to get spread out *if* any of these forums actually take hold. And, I'm extremely hesistant to go to websites in the wild due to computer security.

How is Bioware expecting us to build server communities like this?
