Lets say for example that BW are NEVER going to give in and make the server forums what then? What is a sketchy forum and what is one that people will use. I made the following thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=73291 which I think is the next best thing in the short to medium term whilst things settle down for BW. Maybe people can have a read and post their thoughts on the suggestions made in the linked topic aswell.

Been doing some changes with the site. Also, Trask-Ulgo server has had it's forum sub-sections expanded due to that particular server forum now being used.

Well if thats the case - I would like to think the mods shouldn't of deleted your 20+ posts then - but as they did, I assume they classed it as spamming. Are you a mod on this forum. I seem to remember your re-direction to Amazon - Lord of flies. all on my own thread. The only thing I am quilty of is bumping with info...as are 4 or 5 other people atleast with threads in this section. So far off. If there was already a Server forum then I and others would NOT be making one and OFFERING the community the use UNTIL BW CREATE SIMILAR or OFFICIALY APPROVE an offsite one . Plus my forum has direct links back to these forum sections - but as I obviousley want to steal forum users I had better remove them so they are trapped! Thats funny coming from someone who had 20+ posts deleted yesterday for spamming. and in regards to the majortiy being happy with the forums http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=3500 and also theres a couple more perfectly happy customers HERE If your not interested in this then don't read it others are and people are starting to sign up. I won't apologise for trying to give people a server forum outlet until BW change their mind - if they do at all. Myself and the others offering similar have done this off our own backs at our own expense - what have you offered to actually help the community on this issue? Site has taken a steep hit on the number of new people visiting which is a good thing but it would be better if these visitors turned into registered users and posters. All of the comments you 'Spammed' were in similar threads but covering different types of discussions. If you post a reply it should be relevant to that individual thread and not a generic comment IMO - that breeds 'Off Topic' posts. In regards to encouragement to move away from the forum no I'm not. I am giving a valid option/alternative in the interim for a EU server specific forum until BW add a Server forum here - if they do at all. Good points of course and someone said similar on the thread I made to advertise the EU server forum i made. From the back of that, if BW do not make the server forums then they need to at least do something like the following http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=73291 Another option mentioned is that volunteer moderators are took on board by BW, but then that has it's own issues as with everything else.

So 3 months down the line and there is still no server forums on the SWTOR site - what then? What has been lost between now and the point they actually do implement official forums if at all? how long are people going to wait for them to do it? From what the community is offering including myself realistically there is only 3-4 suitable alternatives. This thread isn't about advertising those forums it's about the BW Community Management Team actually looking at what is on offer and officially saying. 'Please visit this/these site(s) for the EU/NA server forums' Let them use those community forums as guinea pigs, work with the administrators to get feed back as to whether it is plausible to do it etc. There's many ways of getting to the same place - this way is another method of getting there.

Surprised on the lack of response on this. At least for the time being BW have put their stall out saying the are not doing Server forums and they like to see the community be creative. The 2nd option (all be it the last resort for many, and not an option for others!) is for BW to official endorse/link 1 or 2 Unofficial forums and link them from this site so people can easily find them and vice versa. Even if it's for a few of months, using an endorsed and linked 'unofficial Server forum' is better than non at all. We all like to have server forums but surely this option is better than nothing?

Updated the announcement post on the forum to answer Why not do the US Servers aswell?

Red Eclipse is very popular but the queue can be mad..but seems to be getting better. not sure what the others servers are like but I'm sure others will recommend some. It's advised to use some of the lower population server tho.

Please refer to this thread and inparticaular a valid quote There is a list of forums here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=33477 that you can review and give approval to if you are not going to supply forums atleast give community sites your approval to appease the above comment. This will give direction to the community and also make sure the forums are being flooded with individual server boards etc. And yes, I am throwing my hat into the ring to cover all the EU Server only - read HERE as to why.
