I'm an Empire player mainly, but gonna roll a Rep alt to see more class stories. Anyway, just wondering if any of you republic players could recomend a decent server. Either PvP or RP-PvP. Empire and Republic are pretty even (except when I enter a pvp match, then it's stacked). Lots of guilds, lots of nice people. Reps outnumbered Imps 2:1 on launch day, and while that statistic is no longer relevant, it's my understanding (from my own experience, from talking to my guildies, and from talking to other Sanctum GLs) that Reps still outnumber Imps. Plus, Sanctum has a very active community that's interested in working together in order to make and keep Sanctum a nice place to be. We have a facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/245768995490030/) as well as non SWTOR server forums (http://sanctumoftheexalted.tk/). We're trying to become acquainted with each other out-of-game and a lot of people have put a lot of work into trying to make that happen. Guild Leaders of about 20-40 of some of the larger guilds (as well as *any* GL that has asked to join) are admins on the FB page and have moderator privileges and a private discussion area on the forums. When GLs start talking and cooperating, then you start having a *reason* to be nice to people. If someome misbehaves with a guild tag over his or her head, then their guild leader is going to hear about it... Heck... we even have t-shirts! http://www.cafepress.com/scorpienne/8383874 While I don't care for PvP, I know it's really important to a lot of folks. I started a poll on our FB page to see who people think are advantaged in PvP. Here are the results of an informal opinon poll on our FB page: Who wins more PvP matches on Sanctum of the Exalted? Empire, by a landslide. 7% Empire, but not by a huge margin. 44% It's about even. (And/or "anyone but me.") 22% Republic, but not by a huge margin. 13% Republic, by a landslide. 13% This means that PvP is probably more-or-less evenly matched. Which really says something about our Empire PvP folks because they're likely outnumbered (an observation that has been confirmed by Empire GLs). There's always something going on in Sanctum. ORCA (one of the big Imp guilds) is running frequent cross-faction RP if that's your kind of thing. Another guild is going to sponsor a server-wide Great Hunt for the BHs. If you're not into that kind of RP, there's always the Galactic Swoop Racing League where you can compete for cash and prizes (or at least bragging rights). The economy is coming along nicely and we have loads of newbies in the starter zones which speaks well for the future. Give Space Slug a try, you won't be sorry. I'd rather swallow raw cow meat and sit bare arsed on a cactus than play on that fluffy server. Hey man, you pays your $15 a month and you plays the way that makes you happy - mazel tov! You should definitely play whatever suits your particular play style, and if a server that's trying to self-organize RP events and stay civil isn't your style, then I wish you good fortune in finding one that is a better fit for you.
