  1. Nah, BW had the chance to keep me as a customer. They didn't deliver the type of pvp I would like in a game, so I will not look back. PvE they do a great job though. Wouldn't play the game even if it were free though. Once I unsub from a game I usually don't go back. Haven't played WoW in 3 years and don't see myself ever going back. Takes a good two months for me, if I'm not totally absorbed with the game, it's not for me. I don't mind free to play games or pay to play games that have microtransactions though as long as they are pay to win type of microtransactions. Cosmetics, clothing, mounts, pets, etc. I don't see a problem with if people want to buy em.
  2. Bioware is ignoring the customers on this issue, and ignoring the problem. Egos get in the way, they don't want to merge servers because they know it looks bad this early on. Instead you're forced to reroll to a higher pop server, then they'll quietly close the dead servers later with transfers.
  3. I believe you'll be the one disappointed mid year when servers are merged and there are only a few hundred thousand people left in SWTOR to play with. I'm not saying GW2 is the best but when it comes to pvp we'll have to see. SWTOR doesn't get it done with pvp. The last 2 games I played that had good open world pvp were Dark Age of Camelot and Planetside. Nothing will ever compare to DAOC world pvp I don't think, but I can dream.
  4. BW simply has no clue when it comes to an MMO, they show each patch how amateur they really are. I can see the game going the way of Warhammer honestly. It will settle with fanboi and very casual players to probably the numbers SWG had in the end. It's a niche game.
  5. I did the raid grind in WoW up until 3 years ago. I won't ever do it again. Pvp is funnest for me because it's not like Pve raiding. Doing the same raids over and over for gear, knowing what the bosses do next. With PvP it's different because you're actually playing against people instead of a scripted pve fight.
  6. ^^This^^ The low levels are the funnest you'll see in the game. Wait til you leave your first planet. It's gets old and boring fast. Once you're 50 and have everything in a few weeks you can level alts start over again and do all the same quests you did before except your class quests. Get ready to get a callous on your thumb from spacebarring, heh.
  7. Amen! We're burned out on WoW clones, not mmo's. I didn't quit WoW 3 years ago just to play another game just like it but reskinned. Like you said above, GW2 is doing a lot of things differently, and that's got me excited to think the line of WoW clones may be broken with it I love pvp done right and I'm hoping GW2 is the next game I'll play for years. Hoping Blizzards Titan is amazingly, refreshing, new, too.
  8. BW's egos have the better of them. It's been that way since even beta, when they let general testers know they were only there to play the game. Our opinions were ignored, and when the devs did respond to testers it was the attitude "it's our game, we know better than you do, but thanks". Such huge egos, but such sloppy, lazy, work done in SWTOR. At least Rift cloned WoW well. BW couldn't even get that part right. I see SWTOR going the way SWG went. By June-July the games subs will in the few hundred thousands. It's a niche game. It can last for years, but it will not be the mega hit they thought they could get. Look at Ultima Online, it will never die unless they revamp and make a UO 2 or something. BW shouldn't call SWTOR a mmo, it's not. It's a single player game with a chatbox, that should be free to play unfortunately.
  9. Yeah, I won't be back either, just a few more days left on my sub. I did the whole raid grind in WoW for years, and I won't go back to that again in any game. Pvp is all I'm interested in now. SWTOR is just not a good pvp game and 1.2 does nothing for it either to make it better. It does seem like they're going to be more focused on PvE, rather than Pvp, and that means I don't look back at the game. Guild wars 2 and Planetside 2 are coming up soon so I know at least Planetside 2 will be some good open world pvp'ing with 3 factions with lots of people able to pvp in the same areas.
  10. Your account is just asleep until you resub back. You won't lose any characters, any items, anything. Everything will be just like it was when you left if you decide to resub later.
  11. Not a good sign at all. If the game were doing well there wouldn't be so many people complaining about populations dying off and having to reroll to the more popular ones. I suspect BW doesn't want server mergers because it looks bad, so they ignore customers complaining about populations in hopes they'll just reroll to the higher pop servers, which is what's happening now. BW can quietly close the dead servers one by one later.
  12. And Jung Ma for RP-PvP server is a heavy server.
  13. http://www.hardware-revolution.com/computer-systems/gaming-pc/ There are builds on this site that are good for gaming no matter what your budget. All hardware are compatible with each other and it takes the guess work out of it for you if you just want to build a nice gaming rig.
  14. Probably exactly what Bioware want people to do. BW are ignoring them and giving no transfers so people reroll to the higher pop servers then BW can quietly close the others later. I think their egos are big and they will not bend to do transfers anytime soon because it looks bad. Their egos will cost them customers.
