Paying for development.

This game is in Beta. It should never have been launched. This is why there are so many problems with the game and patches are rushed in with no testing. EA put pressure on Bioware to launch the game because they were millions of dollars over budget. EA said they need to make some money before they would sink anymore into the project. We are paying to play a Beta. The closed and open beta were just a way to test stability not content. They knew from the start they would need to finish the game as they go. Also we will be charged for an expansion pack at a later date that was originally meant to be part of the game from the start. This in the world of EA Games is acceptable.

The real issue is population issues, and that's the people who rolled Imperial (for most servers) fault.

Over all every game ever released is buggy, even more so when it comes to a huge project like a mmorpg is; just stick with it.

That is so wrong. If you make a faction based multiplayer game then it is your responsibility to consider how faction population will affect the gameplay and design systems accordingly.

You can't just do nothing and then say its the players fault, that's *********** dumb and you know it.

people are happy to be here and happy for it to iron out bugs etc, some of actually expect it, look at wow 7 years and last patch had ret pallys bugging out.

If you dont want to be here because you think its basically a paid beta your welcome to cancel your account and come back in a few, I will stay and lodge tickets etc as needed.

Its not players fault rolling imps.

I am a repub, and it really is hard when you see that imps have the coolest looking armor, better story lines, hell they even have holograhpic trees in their star port. Repub has none of that.

imo its the devs fault for putting all the cool **** on one side.

How many year of development? How old is this engine? This engine is available to the public for around $400.

Reason population is a problem is because they made playing a bad guy cooler, and the classes are not true mirrors.

a lot of it is bugs, but more of it is poor design.

the single player pve levelling game is very nice, as you would expect from the makers of kotor and mass effect etc

the faction based game, how the factions interact, how pvp progression is handled, everything pertaining to pvp is badly designed and poorly implemented.

Indeed, but when people aren't willing to wait for them to do some. What I said is the case.

Ilum is our fault too.

So is the poor performance.

The high res texture controversy, exploits, bugs.

Surely we are not worthy to play this game :(

Nope! Into the coal mines with you! I'll tell you what, you can come out if the birdie dies.

To blame a player for rolling Imp is dumb, and you know it. You can't punish them for it either. There are ways to fix that. 3rd faction/server transfers/ ect.

Loved warhammer system that didnt allow you to roll on a faction on a specific server if the numbers were too great

so it's the devs fault because they never considered faction imbalance at all during their 5 year development process, and never listened to the many experienced mmo gamers who told them this would happen many times on the pre-launch forums.

but now it is live and the obvious massive flaw in their system has been starkly realised it is somehow the players fault for rolling sith?

righto.

Can't disagree with that, still it's "our" choices which affects the game play around us.

Sadly many perfer the imps.

I didn't say it's a single imp's fault, I said It's over all their fault. This being said since they picked imps when it's clearly a higher population in beta and release, so if you have problems with pvp you should of rolled republic.

No this doesn't fix the "issue" bioware created when they made the imps look/play better, but some times the community in mmorpgs have to do what the devs can't or aren't willing to fix.

So make it so no more imperial characters can be rolled on said server. If you want to play Imperial then you would have to find another server or wait until population evens out.
